The standard room temperature for Delta Hotels is 20°C, so I have followed up with our Executive Rooms Quality Manager to ensure that this standard is being met for all rooms, as well as having the heating system checked for noise every time the room is serviced. I’ve also forwarded your concerns, regarding the quality of the breakfast you had received, to our Outlets Manager and Executive Chef to follow up with their teams. I do apologize about the air conditioning issue you experienced on your stay. With the Calgary weather fluctuating as much as it does in the fall, our automated system can be delayed. I’ve followed up with our Rooms Quality Team regarding the cleanliness of the carpet, and they are paying special attention to the deep cleaning of the carpet in all nook and crannies. I do apologize about the noise level of the elevator, and have followed up with our Front Office Team to ensure any late arrivals are blocked as far away from the elevator as possible. We recently had to conduct our regulatory pool tests this month, and as such, the pool was out of service for 1.5 days. The pool is regularly open from 6am to 10pm throughout the day, but it does close in the evening to limit noise because it’s an atrium style pool. I’m glad that you enjoyed the food, and I’ll be sure to pass along your compliments to the Chef! Hope to see you again soon - we’re expanding the poutine options on the menu!

The restaurant does close early depending on volume of patrons; however, all of our menus, including the restaurant and the steakhouse, are available regardless where you’re sitting in our dining area. Because of our proximity to the airport we do also provide a convenience that other hotels in the area are unable to. We’ve just finished our renovations on the fourth floor this week, so we hope to have you back soon to check them out!

It does get pretty busy with families in the afternoon, so if you’re looking for relaxation I definitely recommend heading down early or late. Sometimes the noise can echo from the pool, but the hours are restricted between 6am and 10pm to ensure it’s not disruptive. I’m glad you had a great stay, and hope next time you don’t have an “early fright”!

According to when this review was posted, you may have stayed over the course of the Stampede Centennial when rates throughout the city were higher. We are a little bit farther from city centre than some hotels in the northeast; however, we are the only hotel connected to the airport, and we’re perfect for letting you sleep in that extra hour before your flight! When traveling, confirmations are as valuable as a passport - especially when you’ve booked little extras like breakfast and internet.
