Stayed at the Econo Lodge for two nights during a recent stay in Calgary. The hotel was an older building, but the rooms were clean and actually very quiet considering that the hotel was located right on McLeod Trail. It was very conveniently located for everything we were doing in SW and SE Calgary and getting to downtown was very easy. The only think I was a bit disappointed in was the state of the pool area and the exercise room. The exercise facility was very small with only three pieces of equipment, one of which..the recumbent bike was broken. The jacuzzi hot tub was only luke warm, but this may have been because it wasn't used much and was off for a long period of time. It took quite a while to warm up and never did get really hot. The continental breakfast was just the basic fare, although not much different from what is offered in most other budget hotels. All in all we had a pleasant two day stay in this hotel and considering the lower cost of our room, we would certainly stay here again in the future.

The holet is perfect if you are just planning to sleep in the euro room. TV has no real channels for viewing. other then these 2 comment it is perfect
"Convenient and quality hotel"
The convenient location to the airport was the best feature. The front desk staff was friendly and herpful. The room was clean and confortable. The bathroom was small but adequate. We had booked a room with two double beds, but the hotel upgraded us to two queen beds.Genuine Expedia guest review

"expensive but location location location"
This hotel is literally in the Calgary airport and there fore has a wonderful location. It has a large atrium and if you ave a room facing onto this central area, the noise filters up into your room. We had just come back from a week long RV trip to the Canadian Rockies. Were looking for an airport hotel as we returned the RV on Saturday, and didn't fly out until Sunday. We were delighted with out two stays here in June, 2010. On both occasions we were given upgraded rooms which were very clean and comfortable. Bathroom and fridge amenities were very good. However, the best surprise of all was the steakhouse restaurant in the hotel. We could not believe the quality of the steaks. We checked in late at night and there were some issues with rooms not being ready and ours had some items missing, however if you look through that the hotel is located literally steps from checking in on your flight so if you do early online check in its great.
