"Clean and clean..."
This was by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in bar none... There werent even water spots on the shower head. Seriously, seriously clean and tidy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, ridiculously comfortable beds"
The front desk staff was very helpful with suggestions for how to get around town and where to go. It is right on the water, too. No complaints here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Downtown Location"
The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. The lounge/restaurant is under construction during the day - so it's not open until evening. You do hear construction sounds during the day time hours. I was on the 4th floor, and I wasn't in my room much during the day, so it wasn't a big problem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was my sister's first time in Portland, and I wanted her to see the city/downtown. The location is perfect! The rooms are a bit small, so I advise to absolutely book 2 beds if you have company. Shampoos, conditioners, and lotions were all on dispensers--very economical and environment friendly. The staff was excellent! Friendly and courteous--day […] or night, which was amazing! This hotel is close to the Portland Spirit Cruise docking station. Thank you, Hotel Rose. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location. Hotel Rose or as the cabbie called it, hotel fifty, is across the street from the riverside park and the city tram rails. The complimentary bicycles were a pleasant surprise for an early spring and sunny March day. Probably the most comfortable bed anywhere away from home. We will return here next time visiting Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Hotel Rose is located on the semi-outskirts of what's going on, near the downtown region. If you know Portland, you know semi is like a 10 minute walk in a safe location and bam you are in some of the happening spots. The staff were quite friendly and mostly helpful. The room was a little cold, and although they said they turned the heat on, I suspected […] it didn't happen. The beds are upscale Beautyrest Black mattresses, and super comfy. The room was clean and very up to date, parking was easy, if a charge on top of the room. I had a river view, and really enjoyed my stay. While other places may be 5 minutes closer to bars, and what not, this was a quieter part of downtown. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, but can be loud"
This hotel has a GREAT location- we were able to walk almost everywhere! It's right next to the MAX so you can easily arrive here from the airport, too. The only downside was the fact that it can get a little loud when facing the river...but only on the Friday night we stayed here. Saturday and Sunday quiet down significantly with less road noise. Otherwise, […] the staff was great, the bed was beyond comfortable and all-in-all, we had a great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location, we love walking downtown"
Saturday market was great, loved seafood dinner at Jake's Seafood. Walked along the waterfront, did a little shopping, a great time... love Portland!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Rose -What's NOT to Love?"
Friendly, competent, energetic staff. Comfortable, modern, tasteful room. Complimentary bikes, robes, cupcakes. Located right on the river and the light rail line. We loved this hotel! We will definitely use Pineapple Hospitality again, either in Portland or Seattle.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and convenient"
The hotel was in a very convenient location for my purposes of attending a conference and visiting nearby restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable and the hotel itself was stylish. My only concern was hearing the light rail early in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, this may disturb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The people at front desk were very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean, and it had Keurig coffee maker and a fridge. The location was great. Just off of the light rail line and close to the restaurants and shops in downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for our short trip to Portland. Had everything we needed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well worth the $."
The hotel was going through renovations so but that was the only (sort of) negative thing. Great location and easy to go to many cool parts of downtown Portland--including both business and pleasure sites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good downtown location"
Even though the downstairs bar and restaurant were being renovated during the day, they were always open in the evening. Spotlessly clean, very helpful staff, and a good ambiance. I would pick this hotel again if I were going to be in Portland.Genuine Expedia guest review
Though we didn't take advantage of all the amenities, in particular the free bicycles, that was fine. The hotel's located on the Willamette River. What with the outstanding weather -- we had lots of sun and balmy 60º/70ºF temperatures --, we walked everywhere: 15 minutes to the Pearl District, ample bridge crossings to east-side dining, close to the […] city center, 10 minutes to the Portland Museum of Art, and less than a block from the tram stop in the Yamhill district from AND to the airport. "Location and Comfort"
Rented the hotel room for my college student and her friends. They had a great time, location was ideal, view from the room was not so great, but they didn't care. Staff was accommodating. The hotel room had been renovated which was nice. I would recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was just okay. The valet parking guy asked if we had stayed there before and I said no. He asked if we wanted the car parked and I said yes but he didn't tell me there was a charge for that and I found out the next morning when I got a bill. They waived the charge at check out. The lounge was under construction and was cold so a heater might be helpful. […] The window in the room was broke so cold air came through. The lady serving us dinner and drinks in the lounge was very nice. I was a little disappointed for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not Worth the Money"
While the location of the hotel was perfect - right on the edge of downtown, the accommodations weren't worth the money. Poor workmanship, thin walls, little space, and heat that couldn't be adjusted. The room was way too warm. The windows opened (thank goodness), but then I had to deal with the noise of downtown - and the tram line. On the plus side, […] the staff was nice and friendly, and the valet parking was relatively inexpensive and quick. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice building filled with apathetic staff"
Staff were extremely slow to respond to simple requests and would constantly blame each other. Room very warm, even with three small portable fans in the spring time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"clean, contemporary hotel with friendly staff"
cool contemporary hotel in convenient part of downtown. rooms were super clean and comfortable. staff were really nice; my coffee machine didn't work in the morning, and the girl at the front desk actually went out and got me a coffee within 10 minutes!--at no charge. it would be nice if there were a mini-bar and actual bath products i/o dispensers--those […] seem not up to the standard of the rooms' decor. City tram to the airport 1/2 Block a wayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My group of 17 stayed here recently and we loved the amenities. We used the complimentary bikes to get around the downtown area and cruised the waterfront that was right across the street. Parking is the most affordable in the city for a low low $15 per night and $20 for valet. My room was next to the gym and we definitely put their equipment to use […] after all of the gluttony from the food carts only blocks. "Clean, updated, good location."
The rooms were clean and updated and the staff was friendly. The light rail was close which made it really nice to get to and from the airport but they were a little loud at night. Overall it is was a good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Downtown Portland Hotel"
Good stuff and great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed the room. Hopefully, next time we will be able to enjoy a river view. That would be awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff were amazingly helpful! From early check in to recommending a fntastic dinner restaurant, our needs were met! The hotel was away from the nightlife we were looking for, and had some loud airplanes flying at all hours. The room was beautiful, breakfast was great and overall we were satisfied with the value for our dollarGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's okay. Not a stellar hotel, but it's fine."
Staff were great, but the hotel is just old and tired. It's been revamped, but there are better places to stay in PDX.Genuine Expedia guest review
Internet did not work. Lobby was under construction. Everything else was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to city, public transit, and river"
Good, clean, hotel, friendly desk staff. Really liked the dispensers in bathroom for shampoo, soap, and body wash. Don't like all those small bottles hanging around. Tub and Bathroom were very clean. Trolley for city and airport go right by the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient to downtown"
Nice hotel with a very friendly helpful staff. Would definitely use again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in a great city"
The Hotel Rose is in a beautiful location across the street from a large park fronting the Willamette river. Portland has fantastic, clean and efficient public transportation and EVERYBODY uses it. The red MAX line runs all the way from the airport and right to the hotel and you can get alomost anywhere in the city for 5$ a day. We rented a car for […] this trip, but when we go back, we're taking the MAX. Parking charges at the hotel are par for a city, but there's no need to use valet parking. Self parking is underground a few steps from the door. The hotel rooms are a little small, but well appointed and clean, Very comfortable bed and unique, roomy shower. The staff was informal and very friendly. Just a very comfortable stay...We'll definitely be back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location downtown"
We spent a night on our way back to Tacoma, and the hotel was a nice place to land. Like others noted, the location relative to the food trucks, access to mass transit, and ease off the freeway made it a great stop for us. The room was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was extensive (although breakfast elsewhere in Portland is tough […] to pass up). Only thing I would recommend is to ask for a room not facing the street (it was a little noisy Saturday morning). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Even though the weather closed down all of Portland, the staff was friendly and efficient. Appreciated the smiles- some folks worked for two days straight. "Great hotel, very nice front desk people!"
Stayed here for the first time in Portland. I was very pleased with the service of this hotel along with the room. "AC/Heater not working"
The hotel is in a great location, but you couldn't control the temperature. It'll be hot then ice cold off and on, we would wake up sweating. Needless to say I left Portland sick.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute and Convenient"
Newly renovated hotel with all the creature comforts and thoughtful amenities. Spa like toiletries and plush robes. "Good trip, with a few minor hiccups"
The personnel were great. Our room heat wouldn't turn off, our room was literally 80 degrees, the front desk was helpful in remedying the situation, but not sure I would have figured it out without calling. Might want to put something in the rooms to that effect. Our room did not get made up, and we were gone for 8 hours. We even came back, discovered […] it wasn't done, and left again, so it could be done. Finally we had to put the do not disturb sign out, so we could get ready for our event. It was around 4:30 or 5:00 pm. They probably came by then. The hotel is located by a park, the river, and lots of good downtown stuff. Very easy to get in and out of, without hassling with traffic. We stayed at Hotel Rose on a "BabyMoon," before our baby is due soon. It was nice to be so close to downtown. "The place to stay in downtown Portland"
Great hotel, nice remodeled rooms, not large, but very nicely appointed and comfortable. Excellent location at the corner of Morrison and Naito, so easy access to downtown via rail or walking (there's a rail stop a half a block away) and the Morrison Street Bridge to get across the river. Hotel 50 is very comfortable and has changed over the years for the better! Rooms are spacious and the beds are very compforatble. Also, the location can't be beat. "Pretty solid hotel"
The hotel was nice. The location was convenient for walking around downtown and the price was reasonable given the location. There was a restaurant/bar downstairs that was very nice and the food was pretty good. I had steak and it wasn't bad. Prices are so-so. The staff was really nice and courteous, and I really can't say anything negative about them. […] Everything was clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. The one BAD was that they charged for parking which seemed petty to me, and should have been part of the nightly rate. I didn't appreciate having to pay to park.
