Great value for the price. The rooms were nicer than we expected--they didn't feel dirty. The lobby was a bit dated, but so we were relieved to find the room nicer than expected. Pet friendly too. There was quite a long line at the front desk, and the gal wasn't the brightest or most efficient, but for the price, it was okay.

The room had more lamps and lighting than one could need but that is good. You can chose how to set the mode. Only one issue, there is no elevator to the second floor. The staff was more than willing to change my room to a first floor room when I ask about it but I remain on the second floor. Not much to say about this hotel/motel. Very basic lodging with not many amenities. it was fairly close to where we were going but our room was noisy and too close to the workout and gaming area. Front desk staff was efficient and cordial.

I didn't like the parking, hotels should accomodate for full size trucks, the room we stayed in seemed very dark and kinda cold humid feel to it, the plus side of it, was the bed seemed comfortable.

We are not a five star hotel family so we don't have super high expectations, I can stay just about anywhere for one night. However, there are only two things I can say nice about this hotel..the beds were comfortable and they let us check in early, otherwise I left a two page maintenance list! Darn near everything in the room was broken or tattered! […] Needs some tlc and some updating wouldn't hurt. The front desk staff was dressed in a t shirt and yoga pants. The desk in the room was gouged and scratched badly, I asked the maintenance staff to look at it, he blankly started at me and asked whats the problem? When I told him I wanted some one to be aware of the condition so I wasn't charged for it, he slid the cable box over on top of it and told me ok. We also requested a crib for my four month old nephew they brought us an old crib with a bare ripped plastic mattress, when I phoned the front desk to see if they had a mattress cover or sheet I was told they could bring me am extra blanket and I could use that! I won't even talk about their "breakfast". I have stayed at the Days Inn many times and have always been happy with my room, this its not their most quality location! Read more

Could have been more attention on cleanliness. was Kinda noisy aned at 1:30 in the morning when I called about the rooms above me being really loud seems as though it got louder so whether anything was done, I doubt it.

The hotel was nicely maintained, very clean, overall good quality. The area was fairly quiet and we never had a problem with anything. We stayed for 8 nights, and while we only had minor issues, staff failed to solve the problems. The mattress was saggy and gave us both neck and backaches, the desk clerk said "you're the first person to complain about […] that" to each of us individually (and there are other reviews on here stating the same thing) and didn't do anything about the mattress. The coffee machine had the wrong filter part and because of that, it filled with boiling water then dropped and spilled everywhere (luckily my ten month old was still sleeping!!) it took them three days to replace it. It seems that their maintenance and housekeeping staff are home by four pm every day because on the day my husband returned from his deployment and we slept in, we called before leaving at 3pm and requested they turn over the room while we were out, and they said everyone was gone. They couldn't even give us new sheets to change the bed ourselves. The amount of taxes and fees added to the room price seemed crazy high, and we stay in a lot of hotels. All in all, the hotel was great, but the staff were really unpleasant and unaccommodating. Read more

I arrived about 12:30 p.m., but the desk clerk located a cleaned room and allowed me to check in. It is just off the 72nd exit from I-5. I heard no freeway noise. Convenient to shopping and Tacoma Dome, etc.

This is your typical freeway-side hotel with dark, but comfortable, rooms and basic amenities. It's nothing fancy and it's a little noisier than you would prefer (hallway conversations and doors closing were plainly audible), but it was clean in the room and the bed was firm and yet still comfortable. The staff was very friendly and quick with any request. Our room was clean, updated and comfortable. Other then there was a slight smell due to not have the ac/heat fans on to circulate. once on for a short time the air quality was fine. The only MAJOR problem that makes this a hotel a not stay again. a lady in the next room was talking in a Jerry springer show voice for a hour and a half. Mind you ,it was230am. i CALLED THE FRONT DESK, somone came up, but 5 min later she started right up again. They should have checked up on that room or kicked them out!!

Other than the bed which sagged a little and caused a small backache to my wife and the openness of side doors which could be accessed by anyone without a key, I'm happy with the reservation. I was looking for a place to stay close to the highway, just an overnight stop-off before continuing our road trip. This place was sufficient, but not pleasant. The rooms were clean enough, the bathroom was newly remodeled. The staff was not overly friendly. The outside doors are open, so I didn't feel very secure. For the price it was just fine. No frills, but it had everything we needed and super convenient, right off the freeway. My only complaint is the side doors to get into the hotel were not secured. The location of this hotel was great, right off of the interstate and close to the mall, Cheney park and downtown. However, as three staying alone, we were very aware of our surroundings at all times and this hotel is not in a very safe area. Definitely a shady hotel - go anywhere else. Not worth the cheap rate. Our room smelled funky, and the hallway smelled even worse. There was a wet stain on the carpet in our room, and you could smell smoke in this "non smoking" room. Some questionable people loitering in the parking lot and hallways. We stayed at the Days Inn Tacoma Mall Blvd on our way to and from Palm Springs. It was very close to the I5 so we were concerned that we would hear traffic noise...not so. It was so quiet inside the room we didn't hear any noise from outside or even in the hotel. We would recommend this Days Inn to anyone who is travelling on the I5.
