2 out of 4 elevators stopped working two different times, making it difficult to get to or from your floor. The 2 that were working were over-loaded and stopped on every floor on the way down (from 25th floor!). Sink backed-up from the room next door (gross!) My husband and I (local Las Vegas residents) stayed one night for our 29th anniversary and the service provided by the staff was outstanding. However, even though the rooms have been renovated and the comfort level (particularly the bedding) was great, the air conditioners weren't working in many of the rooms and the elevators were in disrepair which […] made it very difficult during the next morning's check-out. Rooms are renovated, clean, flat screen. Bathroom is on small side but adequate . My sink was clogged the whole time , but I didn't report til I checked out. ( wasn't in room much) just stayed overnight. Beds were nice, nice linen.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean and beds were comfy. The elevators were broken and the air conditioner could not seem to keep up in our room but I think it had more to do with the high temps outside.

I loved this hotel! For the price, it can't be beat. This is the 1st time that I stayed downtown but I will be going back. The ambiance is really cool at the D. The only thing that bothered me at 1st was that the ceilings are low. But after a while I didn't notice it anymore. Also, if you want to hang by the pool (which I didn't) it is not very big […] and you have to walk across the valet area to get to it. The restaurants were good and the gambling was fun. On Friday night we went down to the long bar asked for a napkin and one of the bartenders a man dark skin I didn't see his name when I asked for the napkins my boyfriend had gotten a nosebleed well he threw them at me. That was so rude he told me I had to catch them.

When I first arrived at the casino it was nice. I got to the room I loved it the set up the colors everything was great. The second and third day i was there the elevators went out. The D is a huge improvement over Fitzgeralds. Understand its still a hotel/casino on Fremont street so don't set your expectations too high. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. The rooms were clean. The AC unit is a little loud but in Vegas I will always be satisfied with an AC unit that works. It is much improved over what it used to be. […] The pool is a bit small and could use a few more chairs around the outside. The location of the D is great. This was a great place to stay. We have stayed at the D; (formerly the Fitzgerald) about 3-4 times and this time was the best yet! The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very nice. I would have liked to have a table in our room; but that was a minor issue. They have also shortened the time the pool stays open and my granddaughter didn't […] like that. But the entire experience was a great one. It is located very close to all the attractions we enjoy and my granddaughter and her friend both enjoyed walking down the Fremont Street Experience. We were first given a double room with no other seating than the bed. It was neat and clean, but my hubby likes a table to sit at. We changed the 2nd night to a king room and it was much nicer. However one night out of 4 elevators only 1 was working. People were WALKING upstairs to their rooms, we were not allowed to use the service elevators. We were […] on the 26th floor. I prefer to stay on the strip because there is more to do, but I did enjoy staying downtown. It is a cool hotel and worth the money, nothing is perfect. I don't think you would be disappointed . I liked the hotel. It was further from the strip than I thought but I learned the bus system quickly. There needs to be an airport pick up shuttle. Cab rides to and from the airport are about $35. Overall, good hotel, good service. I especially appreciated the 24/7 restaurant. I would stay there again.

Please note the low mark for comfort of room. We were in an even # room which put us on the same side as the LOUD NOISE that was "music". Once we got a room on the other side of the building everything was just fine. We would then rate the room as very good

First time at the D and at Fremont! Loved that almost everything seemed new, due to the recent renovation, although the hallways to the rooms seem like they missed out on the makeover. The rooms were clean and the decor was modern chic. Bath and Body Works toiletries in the bathrooms! beware of the elevators between 10am and 1 pm-be prepared to wait […] or take the stairs. We had one of the 4 elevators break on 2 seperate days which left us waiting for nearly 40 minutes to get back to our room on several occasions. Also had a issue with cocktail servers a couple times. We reported all our problems and they were addressed.

The beds were very comfortable. If you go to bed early, it is not the place to stay. Fremont Street noise could be heard from our room. We stayed on the 5th floor so maybe the higher floors wouldn't of been so bad. Also no refrigerator in the room. Wi Fi was expensive if you wanted to purchase it. We choose not to. Parking for hotel guest was in a parking […] garage, but you have to park on the 7th - 10th floors of the garage. First 6 floors were for Valet. The hotel staff was not accommodating when I complained of construction on the floor below which started at 7:30 AM. When I wrote to the corporate office I was told "we do apologize for the inconvience but the construction is not something that we can avoid at this time." Selected the D because of location on Fremont Street. Room had not seen a dustrag in years and carpet was just plain grody. The worst was yet to come. After seeing the sights of Fremont Street (a real freak show for sure!) we went to our room to go to bed around 11:00. Our room was literally vibrating from the music on the stage just below our window. […] I can sleep through about anything...no so here. Called at 1:00 to ask for different room and desk told us music stopped at 1:30. Not so, was after 2:30. Complained to the desk on check-out. Only response was "we tell everyone that it may be noisy". Maybe everyone except me, because it was not mentioned at check-in. Not even a hint of apology from desk staff.
