"Pleasant. Will stay again."
Hotel is under construction so the lobby looked to be in a temporary location. My room was right next to the generator so a humming noise was heard all night long. Hotel staff was extremely nice. Went out of their way when helping me print boarding pass. Shuttle driver was extremely nice and considerate.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Adequate for an overnight"
They are in the midst of a renovation but it wasn't a big problem because I was only there overnight. The staff was terrific and very helpful. They were enthusiastic and very engaging. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet. It was awful and not kept. Eggs were way overcooked and dried out. The rest was ok. I should have just ordered off the me […] nu. "They gave a strange man a key to my room."
The hotel gave me a key to my room, and after an hour after I settled in they gave another customer a key to the same room. When I expressed my outrage over this breech of security, they offered me a free breakfast. Everything about this hotel was just awful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Overnight college visit"
The hotel was in the middle of renovations in the entry, downstairs, dining, and elevators areas. Rooms had been completed and were nicely appointed. The rate was great for 2 rooms and they accomodated my request for adjoining rooms and the bed configuration in each.Genuine Expedia guest review

"1 problem with hotel"
The only problem I had with this hotel was that the beds were too high. I am only 4' 9" with two bad knees. Therefore, getting into the bed was a challange. But other than that I had a great experience with the facility and the staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A very comfortable room."
Lots of pillows and a comfortable mattress with a wonderful decor. We asked for a roll a way bed which was better than the average 'sandwich style'. The only problem was that the outdoor pool was not available to our kids upon returning from our adventures in Pittsburgh.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wrong hotel name! Bad service"
This is NOT called Crowne Plaza anymore! They are now called Sheraton. So you can imagine we had trouble finding it even though the GPS took us to the right place. We checked in around 8 pm instead of the 3 pm check-in time and they told us they did not have the double room that we had booked and PAID FOR! They wanted us to stay at the Motel 6 across […] the street. I refused and they finally said they "found" a vacant double room. When we finally got our room key, we were pleased to find the room was very well appointed and we got a good night's rest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't Go There - Hotel is under major renovation"
The hotel is under major renovation. They should shut it down until the renovation is complete. Right now, the carpet in the elevators are ripped. Part of the stairway is closed. "NIce place to stay at a reasonable price"
Nice hotel undergoing renos, got good deal so cannot complain, Nicely updated rooms and bathrooms. Minor issues extraordinarily loud a/c,. Parking is a bit confusing as you have to park and come in a side door and walk a fair ways to the elevator. Note most hotels include internet, they charge extra for it here.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Extremely Noisy and Airport Shuttle Doesn't Run for Early Morning Flights"
10/23/14 eightwednesday Morgantown, West Virginia
Because the hotel my husband and I preferred by the Pittsburgh Airport was booked solid for a conference, we tried our luck on a discount booking website and got a good deal at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport. I was pretty excited. I'd had great experiences at other Sheraton properties. I've used discount websites as a way to try new properties with relatively low risk and then return loyally at the regular rate. I'm thrilled I didn't pay sticker for this night from hell. Overall, the facility was pretty nice. The only real complaint I have about the facility is that the plumbing was so noisy. Every time someone flushed a toilet or took a shower in a neighboring room I swear I thought the wall shook or the floor threatened to cave. Additionally, each time the heating/cooling unit kicked on it made an awful noise that never failed to wake me up (Room 206). This was aggravating because I was spending the night after a long day of travel and before sending my husband off, which brings me to my first problem. The airport shuttle does not begin running until 4:00am. However, the airlines request that travelers arrive at the airport two hours in advance of their flights (yes, I know this is usually ridiculous). Pittsburgh has flights that leave at least as early as 5:15am (that's when his was scheduled), assuming 10-15 minutes of loading and travel time, arriving an hour before flight time is usually cutting it a little close. So I had to drive my husband to catch his flight because the shuttle did not run. So I'm already jet lagged and cranky, I got an hour's sleep before I had to drive my husband to the airport because the AIRPORT Sheraton can't work it out with the airport to have shuttles that show up at reasonable times for early morning flights. So I get back to the hotel a little after 3:30am. Of course, now other people on my floor are getting up to make their 7am flights so I get to hear the cacophony of plumbing while I try to get back to sleep. I'm so beat that it finally happens around 4:30am. At 9:18am I wake up to yelling and screaming in a language that was not English in the hallway. A moment later, the loudest vacuum cleaners ever manufactured start rolling down the hallway. And I am absolutely incensed. As the vacuuming continues, so does the screaming. I look outside my room, you know, to make sure no one is dying or that the place isn't on fire. It's the housekeeping staff that's yelling! I have higher expectations from the housekeeping staff at a seedy budget motel, let alone a freaking Sheraton. By 9:45am I realize the situation isn't going to get better, I throw my belongings together and check out. Given all the people coming and going, one would imagine housekeeping could stay busy cleaning rooms until 12:00pm (check out time) before vacuuming the corridors, past rooms with "be quiet" placards. To "make it better" I got a voucher for the breakfast buffet. I didn't have much time to use it (and the front desk clerk didn't tell me I literally had five minutes to use it so I ran my stuff out to the car first). The best service I received was from the two young ladies working the breakfast area who did wait a few moments to pack up the buffet so I could get some food and brew a fresh pot of coffee for me. On the bright side, I didn't wreck my car from fatigue on the 90 minute drive home. That was the highlight of the stay.
"Hotel was nice"
10/02/14 Jlg454nyu New York City, New York
We enjoyed this hotel during a road trip last month. It was a great deal for the price and was fairly close to everything we wanted to see and do (baseball game, etc). I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area if you have a car. I'm not sure what the public transportation options are for the area.
"Best nights sleep ever at this Pittsburgh Hotel"
09/26/14 keithEngland England
First and foremost this a great airport hotel with a shuttle service that runs like clockwork on the half hour offering a great nights sleep on mattresses that are the best in Pittsburgh( and I've been in every 4* hotel with the exception of the Renaissance in downtown and all the 3.5* airport hotels..Big thumbs up to the front desk for my early morning & back up call for an early morning flight Pro's-- Rooms are big and well decorated with card security in elevators & visible security at night Superb mattresses offering a great nights sleep... Well organized front desk and good service all round Hot buffet breakfast at a reasonable price Free internet from 4 PC's available in the dining / bar area Well stocked gym on the 2nd floor Cons--none that come to mind apart from an outside pool which limits availability out of season. I'm a Hilton Hon holder and usually stay 1st and last night on my trips at airport hotels when in Pittsburgh..and stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of this trip & on the last night of the 24th Spt...it being my 5th visit, but am thinking about signing up with the brand to take advantage of offers for advance bookings.. Many thanks for a great stay

"Coffee in room is a tease!"
09/02/14 geebeemarie Boulder, Colorado
I was in town for a week on business in July 2014. I had never been to Pennsylvania and found locating the hotel pretty darn easy with the help of google. I arrived around 8ish pm. Staff were incredibly friendly, that evening and throughout my week’s trip. My room was on the second floor next to the main elevators, gym, and laundry room; I was concerned with traffic-noise but, no such thing ever occurred. I had mixed feelings about the room. It was neat however; the mixture of air conditioning and carpet sometimes left the room smelling like ‘mold’. There was no way to avoid AC since it was mid-July. The bathroom is spacious; a HUGE plus in my book and filled with plenty of towels (I was able to go the entire week without room cleaning service). I found the décor updated and modern however; I was shocked to discover that there was no iphone dock charger, stained carpets, holes behind the bathroom door and $2.50 charge per cup for Starbucks coffee which sat like a tease in the room. To add insult to injury, only two outlets were within view. One outlet was used for charging my mini fridge and the other for my laptop. I would like to see each room accommodated with more outlet power given today’s travels with technology devices. The bar, dining and foyer were gorgeous! I was told by some of the locals that the hotel had a recent renovation and besides the carpet and iphone deck charger, you could tell. What was disappointing about the renovation was NO continental breakfast or happy hour! What a shame! I would like to note that the staff was awesome! They provided me with a mini fridge and microwave immediately upon request and they always asked me how my day was upon returning from work. I didn’t hate my stay but, would like to see minor changes given that there’s really no night life or social venues nearby. As for that coffee…what a tease!
"Love this hotel"
09/01/14 Mary Beth S Morgantown, West Virginia
I stayed here on both ends of any flying travel. It is easy to get to off I79. The staff is very friendly. You can leave your car here and shuttle to the airport. The rooms are nice. There is only an outside pool which is too bad. I like swimming when I travel.
"Great Overnight Stay"
08/26/14 vmheights Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania
Our stay was for overnight before flying out of Pittsburgh Int. Airport the next day. The hotel was very clean and the staff personnel were very polite and helpful. They even informed us of an excellent place to eat supper that night. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very punctual and the drivers were very polite. Will probably stay there in the future, when traveling from the airport.

My family stayed there for 5 days in June while visiting relatives in the area. This renovated hotel was wonderful in every way!! Rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable, and very clean! Location is great and the dining/lounge is very nice with friendly, helpful staff!! We will definitely be back!!
"Perfect for a weekend or overnight stay."
08/08/14 N3YND Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
We stayed at this Sheraton for just one night in July. This is a newly remodeled property that used to be a Crowne Plaza Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel is. They did a great job with all of the remodeling and I just can't say enough how much of an improvement this hotel is over the old Airport Four Points. Check in was easy and we were upgraded to the top floor Club Level room and given vouchers for a free buffet breakfast. The room was a good size, very clean and you could tell everything was new. No problems at all. Perfect for a weekend or overnight stay. Once settled into our room we checked out the Club Lounge. Wow! This lounge is the nicest we have seen in a hotel this size. Kudos! Check out my photos. We had some wine and snacks at their free happy hour in the lounge. Very good selection of wines and the attendant was very nice and easy to talk to. Later on we had drinks at the bar downstairs while enjoying the company of my son and his girlfriend. Lots of seating around the bar and Sheraton Link area. In the morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast downstairs instead of the free continental breakfast in the lounge. Very tasty and a good selection of hot breakfast foods, fruit, juice, cereal etc. This was a much nicer than expected stay and we may use them when we fly out of Pittsburgh International Airport as they run specials to stay overnight and then leave your car at the hotel while using their shuttles to the airport.
"Very Pleasant Stay"
08/02/14 ithappenedonenight Williamsport, Pennsylvania
We spend around a dozen nights a year in various hotels across the country and we found this one to be a very good hotel. The staff was amazing (very friendly and no pushy valets, etc.), the bed was extremely comfortable, peace and quiet were the norm and we felt reasonably safe and secure during our stay. Keep in mind that this is an older hotel which has been nicely remodeled. Therefore, the rooms have modern amenities but the ceilings are low. All and all a very pleasant stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
