My wife and I traveled to the Pittsburgh area for a visit with our son. I'm the kind of guy that wants nothing to due with cheap hotels run by somebody that you need the Rosetta Stone to communicate with. I don't want to stay at a hotel that I have to kiss my car goodbye every time I park it and have to run the gauntlet to get to the room. My health and well being is a priority. I found the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport hotel fit all of my requirements. The staff was courteous, the facilities appeared to have recently been renovated, the room was clean, fresh, and quiet and there was no riffraff loitering nearby. I've stayed at other hotels in the area that looked good from the curb but when you got to the room my thoughts would turn to "it's only for a week-end, its not that bad," type of justification. Not at this hotel! I have no problems recommending this hotel. The rates were excellent and its location to the airport and nearby malls is a plus. We will not hesitate to stay here again in our future visits to the Pittsburgh area.

The staff was terrific--friendly and professional. The hotel was very clean and bed was comfortable. Thought it was strange that they had an outdoor pool in Pittsburgh. The area surrounding the hotel was like an industrial park so there was not much around--but fortunately the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was good. We were there for its proximity to the airport which was very nearby. Appreciated the free shuttle service.

I was most appreciative of the Airport Shuttle...I arrived after midnight and was relieved to learn that the shuttle to the Sheraton ran until 1am. The staff were considerate and concerned, appropriately, given the poor weather conditions.

This was a beautiful hotel with a nice fitness center located next to the Pittsburgh Airport. It advertised a pool and had one--outdoors, which I never would have expected in Pittsburgh. The room was incredibly comfortable with big, fluffy pillows. It had a refrigerator, a large screen TV and a nice shower. I'd stay there again if I wanted convenience to the airport.

We spent a night in this hotel recently after getting a decent last minute deal from Expedia. We decided on this one since it comes from Sheraton brand and also close to Pittsburg airport. The hotel is nice and comfortable for an overnight stay. The staffs were friendly and room was clean. Also housekeeping was professional and on time next morning. It's a bit old building though and room doors and elevators are not fancy! I also found the shower cap little short in height and I am 5'11! We had little issues with the flush system of the toilet as well. Everything else including bed, sofa, TV and lightings were pretty good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pittsburg.

I loved my stay, simply because it was very convenient and accessible to everything me and my fiancée wanted to do while in Pittsburgh. The hotel was quiet, we never had a disturbance, and the room was always clean when we returned for the day. I loved the staff and everything about my stay.

I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was so comfortable; I never wanted to get up. Everyone was very friendly. The room was a perfect size for one person. Room service menu was large and all the food I tried was very tasty. If ever I go back to Pittsburgh, this is where I will stay.

It's actually about a 10 minute shuttle ride from the airport, but you don't hear planes flying overhead all night, which is great. Very clean, nicely updated hotel. The walls are a little thin (someone was watching The Voice at high volume next door), but at least they turned it off before 10.

I can imagine how upsetting to have an alarm go off so early in the morning was quite disturbing. We make every effort to keep our hotel safe and ensure that any alarm is fully inspected prior to silencing hte alarm. It is dissapointing to hear that this made for a less than enjoyable visit. Although the hotel is going through renovations, the room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel was under construction, so I will ignore that factor as it may not apply to your future stay. What will apply is the fact that you will be nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING. Wifi? extra charge for the night, telephone use? At least a dollar per call, breakfast? sure if 13 dollars for a breakfast burrito is ok with you... 10 bucks for 3 cups of plain coffee... Nothing comes for free, not even the small water bottle they put in your room with a 2.50 price tag.... As for comfort, the bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of space, and no complaints at all if you are just staying to sleep and leave. I would not stay again because for me the price they charge should have come with at least the wifi, especially considering the fact that the hotel was under construction during my stay. Nothing complimentary to excuse the mess and noise during my stay. A little bit can go a long way...

Hotel was under repair as was the parking lot. When checking in you were instantly coated with dry wall dust. When main lobbies are under construction it would make sense to shut the Hotel down for a few days. No apologies were made to guests who, like I, were shocked by the mess. The front desk swiped my card (room was prepaid) and I made my way through the demolition to the creeky elevator up to my room which was ok (except for a few hairs in the tub and sheets--yuck). I ordered dinner in and the food was good and room service was prompt. Went back downstairs and made my way through the demolition derby outside and made a few phone calls. Returned to my room and the front desk locked me out because my credit card wasn't processed for room service at check in. Back up to my room to get my card....back down to hand the front desk my card. "Thank you...have a good evening." Best part of the stay was checking out.

Hotel is under construction so the lobby looked to be in a temporary location. My room was right next to the generator so a humming noise was heard all night long. Hotel staff was extremely nice. Went out of their way when helping me print boarding pass. Shuttle driver was extremely nice and considerate.

They are in the midst of a renovation but it wasn't a big problem because I was only there overnight. The staff was terrific and very helpful. They were enthusiastic and very engaging. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet. It was awful and not kept. Eggs were way overcooked and dried out. The rest was ok. I should have just ordered off the menu.

The hotel gave me a key to my room, and after an hour after I settled in they gave another customer a key to the same room. When I expressed my outrage over this breech of security, they offered me a free breakfast. Everything about this hotel was just awful.

The hotel was in the middle of renovations in the entry, downstairs, dining, and elevators areas. Rooms had been completed and were nicely appointed. The rate was great for 2 rooms and they accomodated my request for adjoining rooms and the bed configuration in each.

The only problem I had with this hotel was that the beds were too high. I am only 4' 9" with two bad knees. Therefore, getting into the bed was a challange. But other than that I had a great experience with the facility and the staff.

Lots of pillows and a comfortable mattress with a wonderful decor. We asked for a roll a way bed which was better than the average 'sandwich style'. The only problem was that the outdoor pool was not available to our kids upon returning from our adventures in Pittsburgh.

This is NOT called Crowne Plaza anymore! They are now called Sheraton. So you can imagine we had trouble finding it even though the GPS took us to the right place. We checked in around 8 pm instead of the 3 pm check-in time and they told us they did not have the double room that we had booked and PAID FOR! They wanted us to stay at the Motel 6 across the street. I refused and they finally said they "found" a vacant double room. When we finally got our room key, we were pleased to find the room was very well appointed and we got a good night's rest.
