At the desk, I was asked for my credit card and that I would have to pay a "gratuity fee" which was more than I paid for the room through hotels.com. This is fundamentally deceptive and, in my opinion, earns them a bad review. At the desk, I also saw a sign that said guests would be charged a gratuity fee. Per the rules of this site, I cannot mention the specific fees charged (they are higher on weekends). Let it be known, however, that tacking on this fee allows them to offer low-ball rates on sites such as hotels.com. Because of this fee, he actual cost could easily be twice as much as the advertised rate.

My stay there was very good I enjoyed myself the customer service was excellent.the only problem that I had was I was told that my card would be charged $35 because he was a weekday and it was charged $100.and the sign on the counter when you come in to check in at $35 also.

Doubletree was okay. The rooms were clean however the heating system was very warm and you could not control the temperature. It was 84 degrees in the room the whole night. I turned the thermostat down to 70 degrees,however it stayed at 84 all night. I prefer it's a little cooler for sleeping!I asked at the front desk if another room was available and was told none were available. Check in is 4:00 pm we arrived at 4:45pm and they told us that our room was not ready yet. So finally around 6:15 we were able to check in. The staff at front desk apologized about the situation and did give us a good discount on the room,so I can't really complain about that. It's not a bad hotel just a few minor details need worked on.

We stayed at this hotel in the past & we re-booked here since we were satisfied with our stay. My disgust began with the front desk clerk upon check-in who was mumbling things I couldn't understand and was far from professional and welcoming. She forgot to give us our breakfast vouchers also. We came as a quick overnight stay to visit family in the area & thought it would be a fun treat for our kids to go swimming in the indoor pool. Pool closes at 11PM, we arrived at 9PM & no towels were left, so we had to leave with the kids totally disappointed. We tried again the following morning, but the pool AND the pool room were FREEZING! Once again, our kids were disappointed. I feel sick to my stomach when I think about the brown scum at the bottom of the hot tub & am thankful we didn't go in it the night before. The furniture in our room was beat up & the sofa, carpet & drapes all had stains on them. Out of 4 elevators only 1 was working during our stay causing crowds & long waits. We were on the 7th floor, so climbing that many flights of stairs was a treat with 2 small children! We also stayed here because we recalled the delicious breakfast, which is now disgusting and the options are scarce compared to what it was. I definitely felt grossed out staying here and feel disappointed in the fact that the quality and cleanliness had fallen so much. We will never be back here.

It was 9 degrees outside and the check in is 10' from the front door and it's only one staff person checking people. The breakfast area is freezing inside because there's no door to block the wind that is coming from the front door. Children were running the hall's until midnight. It was not a good stay for my family and I rarely give bad reviews for hotel stays.

I got a really great deal for a two room suite at this hotel that included a free breakfast. I will say that I got my money's worth, but would not have been as pleased if I had payed the typical cost of a room at a 3 star hotel. The staff/service was adequate, but the hotel would definitely benefit from some updates. The room was spacious, but not any nicer than a room at a 2 star hotel. The pool area was clean, but they kept running out of towels even though it wasn't particularly busy. The jets in the hot tub were not working correctly, and it had a peculiar odor. The sauna in the men's locker room was not in working order. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, it just was not on par with a typical Hilton experience. The free breakfast we got was a nice perk, but I cannot recommend that anyone actually pay for it. If you stay here and don't get breakfast included, you would pay $15/person. I have stayed at lower ranked hotels that provided a similarly stocked breakfast that was available for free to all guests. The food was just not very good. I would strongly advise against paying for it. Also, the hostess was dressed in an old sweat suit which seems a bit unprofessional for a Hilton hotel. My 3 star rating is based on the price, and trying to ignore the fact that it it supposed to be a Hilton. As a whole I think this hotel would be more appropriately rated a 2.5 star hotel.

Hotel was very clean, Staff and restaurant food was great too, however, clientelle coming in-and-out of hotel was not good at all. In fact, while we were eating dinner in the lounge, 4 or 5 police officers came in, marched up the stairs with the manager, and began looking for someone. Made us very uneasy!

Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk continued to answer telephone calls while we were waiting to check in. We had requested a dolly so that we could take our luggage up to our room. We were told they were taken earlier for hockey players and they still had them in their rooms. At which time I had informed the receptionist that my husband had open heart surgery the past year and it would help if we could have a dolly for our luggage. She informed us that she might be able to get a bell boy to help. We declined out of frustration. The rest of our family had already checked in earlier that afternoon and were told the pool area would not be opened until 8:30 or 9:00 pm that night due to someone getting sick in the pool. We had 10 couples plus children staying at your hotel that evening and we came there expecting to go swimming. After everyone was requesting a refund they had the pool opened up sooner. Imagine that!! Also the showers were made level with the bathroom floor so when running it the bathroom floor would get soaked. On a lighter note, the food and food service was excellent!!!

Hotel was great for a quick overnight before visiting Philly. My son loves to swim. It was extremely cold out so, unfortunately, the area surrounding pool was cold. All of the kids got in the hot tub instead! The restaurant and bar look cozy. Again, due to the extreme cold, the overall temp inside was also low. The room was described as nonsmoking but the bathroom wreaked of cigarette smoke. We had already settled in when we noticed this, so we kept the door closed to keep the smell contained. If you're a smoker, please don't smoke int he bathroom of a nonsmoking room. It penetrates everything and affects those who stay once you're gone. Finally, the heating system was very loud but was glad to have heat. Would love to return in warmer weather to fully enjoy amenities and Philly too!

I was in awe at how nice the lobby was. There are decorative plants that giving a tropical resort feeling. I was handed a cookie (longish wait in line) and given the room key. After getting over the awe of the lobby that's when awful things about this place began to surface... The setup is ugly once you get up to the floors where the rooms are. It's like they took a motel then encased it in walls. Each room has a window on the outside; it looks weird for indoor hotel rooms. That turned me off after remembering the lobby. However, the pictures of the rooms online had to be accurate, right? Excited to get out of the weird looking outdoor setup, I opened my room and was stunned to see how utterly outdated everything looked. The chair and the couch you'd find in a thrift store and the coffee table was wobbly. The carpet looked like it had seen better days but it was passable. The door to the bedroom wouldn't close all the way because the frame was too small. My immediate thought was "this is a Hilton??" The real kicker was the check out time. I usually ask at the front desk when the checkout time is but completely forgot to since I had stood in line so long and just wanted to get to my room to rest. Usually it's 11am but I opened up their room guide and was happy to see that they had a 12pm. I called the front desk to confirm the next morning and lo and behold it's 11am checkout. So not only is the room outdated but so are the guides. Staff is kind of snippy too. Won't repeat.

After checking in and being in my room I realized (without prior notification or front desk notification ) that I would be charged extra for incidentals but then to top it off they didn't serve complimentary breakfast if your gonna change me extra for something it would at least be courtesy to provide that. that was my biggest disappointment

I was impressed with the speed of check-in, friendliness of staff and generous room/suite size. On check-in, I was quickly informed of the range of amenities should I choose to use any and even told how to find the elevators. They were behind the center lobby area and were the only things in the hotel that operated slowly. It was a good stay. Sorry it wasn't longer.

I was placed in a room off the atrium and down an isolated hallway. The room had 2 entrance doors which was kind of creepy and the door lock was loose on the hinges. Also, after the first night, the TV did not work. After waiting over 40 minutes in the room, I ultimately just switched rooms rather than wait for the hotel maintenance person who was taking their time to come to the room.

I've stayed in this hotel several times when in the Philly area. It's convenient from the PA turnpike and since it's across the street from the Plymouth Meeting Mall there is dining and shopping in walking distance. I'll continue to use this hotel whenever I have need to be in the Philadelphia area.

I'm in transition between homes, so needed a hotel for a few weeks. Last week I stayed at the Extended Stay and didnt sleep well plus a few other things (it was cheaper though). I chose this hotel as it was close to work in Philly and was reasonably price when compared to other hotels in the area. The wifi is a bit slow and the toliet flush sometimes the paper would come back up... These two things actually didn't bother me. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were comfy ( Extended Stay has the thinnest sheets and hard beds). The central heater was nice! I had my room cleaned everyday. I like how the bedroom is separated from the living space. I like the open inside layout of the hotel. It felt safe and nice. I used the gym daily. I didn't use the pool. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the location was great. I actually booked another week so will stay here again.

It was non-descript. Disappointed with the restaurant-specifically, the lack of one that was open. Only burgers with 10 different toppings seemed to be the preferred fare.

The hotel was old and raggedy. We had to hit the door with my hip for it to open. The bathroom door didn't close and the shower nob was broke

Close proximity to mall, movies and other stores. Check in and check out staff was very nice and courteous. Manager however was a little "short" and curt in his communication. Furniture in the room and in the lobby was old.

We were visiting our daughter who attends Arcadia University in Glenside PA and booked this hotel from Thursday evening till Sunday morning. Although it's a bit of a drive to the college it was a lot less expensive than those in Ft. Washington and not really much further than Willow Grove where we usually stay. Room was clean, very comfortable. The few small glitches we had on arrival (noisy heater, alarm clock didn't work, phone in bedroom didn't work) were fixed right away. We didn't eat at the hotel, but there is a mall right at the bottom of the hill with restaurants and also a sports bar a mile or so away (Dawson's). The hotel staff was extremely pleasant at all times. The bath towels were big, very thick and soft :) We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel had a heated pool a spa and even a sauna. The room was excellent, and had everything I needed. A refrigerator and microwave. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

We booked thru expedia and got this fabulous 2 room suite for dirt cheap! The living room had a pull out sofa bed (which we never used) and the bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. It every bit of 4-5 star. It had It was an amazing weekend. The warm chocolate chip cookie with walnuts is AMAZING and a very welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. Everything in the room was clean and cozy. I do not have not one bad thing to say except that I wish I could have more cookies lol. You can purchase thru room service for a hefty price of $12.95 for only 6!!

My husband and I were just wanted to get away for the night, not far away. We were both very happy with our stay. The staff was great. When we came down for our included breakfast our waitress asked if we had the vouchers which were not given to us when we arrived. I told her I would check after eating, she said to take our time. Not 2 minutes later she returned with our vouchers from the front desk. We both thought that was so nice for her to do. The hotel was located quietly across from the mall which was nice.The room was clean. We just didn't care for the pillows. Too soft and thinner so it was like not having one at all and we each used 2. Other than the pillow would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Our room was very nice and clean. Smelled good like febreeze or something. Check in was super fast. They staff were very nice too. We asked for more towels and got them instantly. Indoor pool is open from 5am until 11pm but we didn't end up going because it was too crowded. Otherwise we had a very good time and would go back again.
