"Great Place for Overnight Stay"
The hotel was satisfactory for a short stay. Pool was closed and there was no outside area for just sitting outside and reading or enjoying the beautiful weather. Small continental breakfast. The room and hotel were clean and quiet. Air conditioning wasn't the best and the rooms smelled musty. "Adequate for the price"
The Regency Inn is about average and adequate for one or two nights. We were disappointed that our request for early check in was not honored even though there were obviously vacant rooms. The continental breakfast was poor. The pastries, donuts & bagels appeared days old and the orange juice was watered down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fine for one night"
We needed a place to stay for one night between days of the New Bedford Folk Festival, and all of the close-in hotels were fully booked. So we tried the Regency, which was about 4 miles from the festival. It worked out very well. Very convenient location with good amenities nearby. Reasonable price for a high-demand weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I travel often for business and try to watch my expenses. My expectations are pretty low when it comes to value hotels. This hotel was an excellent value compared to most. I had some difficulties due to reservation issues, but the hotel staff worked everything out for me. The hotel has just been renovated and the rooms are clean and roomy. Great for […] a business traveler. I will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Solid place to stay in the New Bedford area."
This place, while not spectacular, was perfectly adequate for my one night stay. It also seemed quiet and is very conveniently located. Room was good sized, however I did find it a bit strange that the was not a single wall hanging in the room. I'm not expecting fine art, but a few framed, local posters might be nice. There also was no liner bag in […] the ice bucket, a minor omission. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine for a night"
Nothing to write home about with this place but it's fine for a night and is half the price of nearby options. The bathroom fan was wicked noisy, the wake up call I requested never happened and the clock radio alarm didn't work. On the upside, the shower was great and the location was super convenient for my early morning appointment. I skipped the […] continental breakfast (wasn't mentioned it when I checked in - I have no clue if it was complementary) and went to Panera, just up the road. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was horrible! My stay happened this past Saturday night. We checked in around 8:30pm. When I purchased the room I didn't realize I clicked queen bed. I asked if I could get a king bed. He refused and said it would be an extra. I would not have asked if I hadn't noticed there were only three other cars in the parking lot. With that many rooms open […] I didn't think it would be an issue to have that changed but I guess it was. I went to the room and the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had been freshly spackled and there was joint compound stuck to the toilet. The room was stuffy and the air was stAle, the sheets looked like they were worn thin and the bedspread had stains on it. After I showered and changed I went to meet some friends out for drinks. When I returned the door was locked and had a bell that said ring buzzer. When I rang the buzzer the same guy who gave me a hard time about the king bed came out from a door behind the desk and let us in. After he let us in he proceeded to let me know that I woke him up. And he wasn't happy. Not a pleasurable experience at all, not happy with service or the accommodations.. Neil Cabral Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This as a adequate place for a one night stay. I would not recommend it if you are planning to entertain clients or put up associates or clients for the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room smelled like a wet dog! Had a old tv. Remote didn't work and the heating system sucked. The parking lot is located in the cut and was very poorly lit and I was concerned for my safety. Price was reAsonable but I'd rather go to best western or spend a little more and stay at the marriott which is about 100ft away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spacious, clean room"
We stayed two nights and were very pleased with the cleanliness and large room. We walked to a wonderful restaurant that was less than two minutes away. The bed and pillows were a bit softer than I like, but overall, we were very comfortable. We were disappointed to find out that breakfast is not provided during the winter months, but there were other […] options very close by. The hotel is very convenient to the interstate. Overall, an excellent value for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It is what it is!"
I booked the room in order to attend a funeral in a nearby town, so I am not holding it to a higher standard which I would apply if I were on vacation. My sole criteria was (1) Price (which was reasonable) and (2) Proximity (to the event which I attended) I slept there one night, checked out , attended the funeral and returned home. The "staff " was […] un- frendly. No "Welcome to the Regency Inn, do you have a reservation etc." Despite having paid in full for the room via Expedia, the mgr. asked me for my credit card. I in turn, requested a wake up call for the next morning which I received one an hour and twenty minutes later than the time I specified the evening before. After packing and showering I passed an un-occupied front desk prior to exiting through the front door to buy a cup of coffee. Returning fifteen minutes later I was unable to re-enter the building and was redirected by a maintenance man to a side door. Leaving there was a small sign to put the room key in box on the unoccupied front desk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The Inn is receiving a facelift so the potential for a nice, decent accommodation is possible. The window heater/air conditioning unit took a long time to heat the very cold rood. It appears that housekeeping turn the unit off when they come in to clean the rooms. The room had adequate space, new carpets and barren walls, not a picture to be seen. Housekeeping […] must not have had soap, we only had one small bar of soap when we first arrived and did not see another for the duration of our 3 night stay. Fortunately we did bring soap. The place deserves a solid 2 and my have the possibility of being a 3 if the renovations are done correctly. The new owners (over the past 6 months) appear to be working in the right direction. We are a gay couple who have been together for many years, upon registering the desk clerk questioned our choice of one queen bed as opposed to two queen beds. He did make a point of asking a few times. He must have realized where this line of questioning would lead so he somewhat grudgingly gave us our room key. Thought MA was beyond this way of thinking. The hotel is basic, but clean, convenient, and very quiet on the night I stayed there. Well maintained and secure, it is near mall shopping and franchise restaurants. A good choice if you are passing through and need a handy place to spend the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dartmouth's serene Fall beauty"
We had not meant to stop at Dartmouth, but were pleased with it's charm, and the beauty of the foliage during this time of year--Fall. As to the hotel, the room was fresh, prepared, sufficiently clean, comfortable to take our rest at. The only unpleasant part of the experience was the front desk etiquette--perhaps the woman at the desk had had a difficult […] day. But we found her unfriendly, with less professional "attitude" than usual for hotel employees, & absent from the desk socializing with what appeared to be personal friends. But people at late hours can be fatigued and in need of company. We do not consider this a statement on the hotel's general quality. The woman was adequate within reason, just not "pleasant" in a "host-like" manner. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We left a bag there by accident and the staff was more than helpful getting it back to us. On the downside do not plan to swim there as the pool has absolutely no water. Breakfast was more than just a bagel and coffee there were multiple items to choose from .
"Dollar for Dollar, Best Deal in New England."

For my 4 nights in the beautiful city of North Dartmouth, I had the pleasure of staying at the Regency Inn. With its friendly staff, spacious rooms, and an easily accessible location right off the highway, I definitely know where I'll be staying if I ever am in the area again.
"Avoid this place like the plague"
07/22/14 Philips009 Carver
This place is filthy. We booked a room for two adults and baby. Their were cigarette butts on the corner of the carpet in the room. I saw mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. This place felt so unsanitary that we left after being there for only one half hour. The front desk clerk was rude and not accommodating at all. They even attempted to over charge my credit card and I had to fight to get the additional charges deleted. You're better off pitching a tent in the park then staying in this place.
"Friendly, Roadtrip Stop"
The Regency Inn & Suites is a step up from your average roadside motel when you require a night's respite from a long stretch of driving. The Inn is clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had two bicycles that we were reluctant to leave on the bike rack on our car, so the front desk attendant switched us to a room on the first floor unasked, so that we wouldn't need to navigate the stairs. They offer a free breakfast from 7-10am with basic things like danishes, coffee (piping hot but watery), apples, cereal (poured from large tupperware stationed beside a pitcher of milk), as well as the surprising addition of waffles (do-it-yourself with batter from a dispenser and a small waffle iron). The wifi is free and high-speed, and the rooms are equipped with large flatscreen televisions and cable. The bathroom in our room was clean with plenty of towels and a small kit of no-frills toiletries. The water temperature and pressure was excellent. The room came equipped with a small coffeepot and a mini-fridge/freezer that worked (a freezer that actually freezes is always a welcome surprise in any hotel). The beds were clean and firm with plenty of thick, cushy pillows. The sheets and blankets were crisp and fresh with no visible mystery stains or unpleasantness. The air conditioner was a small and not too noisy box unit by the window with good temperature control and a fan-only option. The room was furnished with a small dresser as well as a table and chairs for dining or playing cards. Our room was on the first floor, and although I could occasionally hear the people in the room above us parading around (I think young, rambunctious children), the walls are not so thin as to cause any discomfort or aggravation. The hotel is located far enough from a busy street to avoid undue noise pollution, and there are plenty of fast-food and casual dining options within walking distance or a short drive. All in all I'd say this is a very good option for anyone who needs a simple, clean place to spend a night before hitting the road anew.

Formerly a Comfort Inn,(Closed), then became the Comfort Lane Inn & now the Regency Inn & Suites. Hard to find. Take exit 12 off of 195 East, (Faunce Corner) bear right, then take the left at the first traffic Light look for sign reads Faunce Corner Crossings (Entrance to a small group of stores & a Kia dealership), go past McDonalds. then take left (You are now behind the 99 Restaurant) straight ahead will be the entrance to Residence Inn (Marriott) to the right of that will be the Regency Inn, (slightly remodeled) new paint job, carpet, beds, ac/heater unit, & thats all, Continental Breakfast the bare minimum, pastry stale, two choices of cereal, extremely watered down juices (fountain drink dispenser), coffe & tea is supposed to be available in this area 24-7 (No cups available), a computer is supposed to be availabe for guest use according to their guest book (GONE) . TV channel guide is correct for the most part There were 3 guides none were correct. There is an outside pool that may you not be able to use ever as I was informed by a staff member.
"decent no frills one night stay"

I think this place is under new management, and it definitely shows. I have to stay here frequently on business and this is the only place I get reimbursed for. The manager is great and helpful if you have a problem with your room. The building is old and could use some TLC, but you can tell the new owner/manager is trying to fix it up since they put new carpeting, TV, and counters in all the rooms. It's clean enough for a comfortable business trip, but keep in mind it's not a vacation hotel.
"Great price, Great service, Great location"
After staying here when it was under previous management i was pleasantly surprised to see such an improvement.checking in i was greeted by Christine a friendly, very helpful desk attendant.our room was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable.our room attendant, melissa was very friendly and accommodating.all in all our experience was great.management and staff have definitely got the definition of hospitality right.we will be returning on put next vacation and i definitely will recommend Comfort Lane Inn to my business colleagues.
"Disgusting!!! If I could give less than a one I would!!"
Checked in late last night. Room smelled bad but we went to bed anyway. Woke up around 10 am to take a shower and the shower curtain liner was disgusting however I took a shower because I am not one to complain over little things. Went to brush my teeth and the sink backs up. I immediately back my bags put my things in my car and walk to the front desk. My hair is wet and my teeth are unbrushed...it is more than obvious that I just walked out of the shower. The front attendant says to me sorry there is nothing I can do. I was carm at first. I then asked if there was someone else I can talk talk to. She tells me no. There are customer walking out and I proceed to share the picture. Someone else surprisingly appears. This man proceeds to tell me that if my car breaks down I would have to deal with it and that if this happened at my home I would have to deal with it. Really? I don't pay $160 a night to stay in my home. There was nothing he would do and walked away from me. WOW!!

Upon check-in, the desk person was ok; The room is standard, nothing to write home about; basically clean. After unpacking and getting settled, the TV conked out so I asked to move to another room. I unpacked and hauled everything to another room. That room smelled of smoke and the phone did not work. Had to move again but to the second floor with no elevator and dragging my belongings in the hot (non-air conditioned) halls to my new room. That room was ok. Went out in the hot hall to get some ice and no ice machine or any service machines on the second floor...only the first floor. Bathrooms are very small and narrow with just enough room to stand in the shower. No breakfast being served as they don't have a current permit. On check-out the next morning no one was at the desk. One cut above a Motel 6.
"What a great find in the North Dartmouth/New Bedford area!!"
I'm shocked to see so many poor to so-so reviews! The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. As for the person who referred to the manager as "abrasive", I think this person needs an attitude check! I have stayed here countless times and the manager has ALWAYS been 100% helpful, accommodating and extremely friendly... you never see him without a smile or asking how I'm doing and if there's anything he can do for me. I always ask for a microwave and mini-fridge. If there isn't one in the room, he stops what he's doing, finds them both and delivers and sets them up in my room right away! Without a doubt, the manager makes it a point to ensure everything is to his customer's satisfaction. Comfort Lane Inn is 5 stars across the board!!!
