I was glad to see that everything was what I needed and a little more. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The breakfast in the morning was a good start to our day and there was plenty of seating. We got lost going to our venue and called the hotel and they were gracious in giving us directions. Overall a nice stay.

This hotel is very nice and inexpensive. I have 2 children and the fact that it has 2 TV is great for both of us. Staff is nice and helpful. Overall a great hotel. We've stayed there twice this year.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and tidy...the room was perfect. This is a non-smoking hotel throughout so there was no worry about getting a room that smelled of stale smoke. They take pride in their hotel, you can tell by the state it was in. I will definitely stay there again!! It's right off the freeway, close to shopping and restaraunts. The only one down fall is there are train tracks near by so you will hear the occasional train, but it wasn't bad at all. Great hotel for the price.

The hotel was alright. Great breakfast and comfortable beds. Hope you like cold showers because the hot water didnt work at all. The latche that helps keep the room locked on the door that is supposed to keep you safe was broke by a 1 and a half year old. Not to safe in my opinion. Its a good room and all just the safety and the water was the only problems i had.

I really enjoyed the stay here with the whole family. The free breakfast was great. a full breakfast with eggs and everything else. I also enjoyed there pool because it has a cover and it keeps it cool, the water!!!!!!

the staff was very unhelpful. the sofa bed had no blankets and we were told some would be brought up just to have to go downstairs and get them- as the staff continued being rude. i stay in hotels quite a but and was shocked at the unfriendliness of the employees here. a cleaning woman almost ran over my daughter with her cart and didnt even apologize!! i would definately not bring my family here ever again.

I checked into the hotel around 12AM, and I had a meeting at at 8:30AM. Therefore, I was only going to technically get less than 8 hours at the hotel. The front desk person was very nice and polite. He could tell that I was exhausted, so it was appreciated that he kept the conversation to a polite minimum. Once I got the key and went upstairs to my room, I was astonished by the size. There was a separate living area with an additional TV, desk, couch, chairs, etc. Included was a coffee pot (made the worst coffee on earth, though), mini-fridge, and microwave. The bed was a king sized bed. Initially, they had the air turned up all the way on cold/high; thus, the room was like a meat locker. I usually like cold rooms, but wow, that was drafty to say the least. I decided to see what the vending machine had, and I went out. When I tried to get back in my room, though, my key wouldn't work. Thankfully, I had a robe on. SO I went down to the front desk. He stated that sometimes if the key is next to a cell phone, it will demagnetize it. I assumed this was the case since I had both up in the same hand (I sure wish he would have told me this earlier, though). Yet when I went back up, it still did not work. I came back down, he did some of magic song and dance. Apparently, that song and dance wasn't too magical because I still had to go back down again. I was so exhausted by this time, and starting to really get frustrated, but luckily for both him and me, third times a charm. I like to end on a plus, and their free hot breakfast hit the right spot! Sauage links, Eggs, Biscuits, Waffles....Not too mention I found out where they were keeping all the tasty coffee, which was definitly not in the rooms. All and all, good stay, wish I could have had more time to enjoy it.

every thing was ok i would say, we had to walk up and down stairs because the Elevator was broken, when they cam to clean the room instead of them taking the towls that belongs to the hotel they took ours.... other then that our stay was ok

Room was clean,location great, staff very helpful. The suite was laid out nicely, with a separate room with extra TV with a door so the kids could watch their own shows. Only con was the pool / jacuzzi was not clean (was green) for our entire 3 night stay.

Overall was not to our satisfaction. Will not stay again at this hotel. It needs to be completely updated.

Our stay here was great. Breakfast was included and it was also good because they do offer a full breakfast with eggs and sausage. Staff was excelent and the hotel is smoke free so there were no ugly smells. My family enjoyed it.

Everything about our stay was more than satisfactory. The hotel was clean and well maintained with a very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast bar was exceptional thanks to Sharon the "breakfast lady" who works very hard to satisfy everyone. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was clean & convenient, but did not live up to our expectations. Pillows were crummy & while bed was OK it wasn't comparable to Comfort Suites on Padre Island @ Corpus Christi. Bath too wasn't up to same level.

The location fit our needs, easy access from I-35 and next door to a Cracker Barrel.

We liked the hotel a lot, its very clean and nice. Very convenient for the price.

We loved our stay at Comfort Suites. The room was much larger than we thought it would be and was very comfortable - perfect for our family of 4. The waffles in the morning were excellent and our kids had a great time swimming in the pool. The staff was polite and helpful and even gave each of our boys a cookie!

The hotel rooms were in great condition. Nice suites to lounge in. Nice bed. Everything was clean. The hot breakfast was ok. Nothing spectacular, but it was a hot breakfast every morning. Was disappointed that the hot tub was STILl not fixed. Figured after reading the reviews that they would have had it fixed by now, but nope, no dice. Have to say I saw one of the Asst Managers do a fantastic job with a guest that was demanding a rate 'cause that's what I was told'. I'd of called the police on them and had them escorted out, she never lost her cool and was very polite.

I loved the breakfast!!! The rooms could have been cleaned better. Some of the light switches didn't work. The sink was filthy. But for the money, it was ok.

The staff was extremely courteous and helpful (all shifts). They wanted us to be satisfied with our stay. We extended our stay 2 days just because the value and quality of the hotel was so good. The decor is wonderful and the suite included a sitting room with a TV and desk. Perfect for our situation as I worked during the vacation and needed my own space. The full breakfast makes it an even better value. Highly recommended.

We stayed there for a night. The suite was clean and comfortable. It was quite spacious for two kids. The furniture was good and beds were very comfortable. There was small stain on one bedsheet and the sink was cracked. Other than that it was all nice. The staff was very courteous. The location was very good. It is right next to I-35. Lots of places to eat out. Downtown is just 7 miles south. We really liked the compilmentary BF. Lot of options - milk, juice, eggs, waffles, fruits, cereals.Overall we enjoyed our stay. Will stay there again.

Good location for those going to Fort Sam Houston and Brooks Army Medical Center. Good selection for breakfast.

Had a nice room. The staff was verry accomadating. It's not perfect , but it,s not $200.00 per night>

THIS HOTEL WAS NICE, THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD WAS THAT ROOM SERVICE STOPPED BY WHEN WE WERE STILL IN THE ROOM, AND ROOM SERVICE DIDN'T COME BACK. ALSO I CALLED THE FRONT DESK TO RECIEVE CLEAN TOWELS, AND THE TOWELS WEREN'T EVER BROUGHT TO THE ROOM. OTHER THAN THIS PROBLEM THE ROOMS WERE GOOD FOR THE MONEY. UNLESS YOU'RE THE FIRST PERSON IN LINE FOR BREAKFAST EXPECT TO WAIT IN LINE, AND THERE AREN'T MANY PLACES TO SIT IN THE DINING AREA.

I went here to spend a weekend getaway with my wife, and wanted something decent yet affordable that we can enjoy. One of the main reasons I picked it was the reviews, and the fact it had a jacuzzi. We were both looking forward to it, just to find out it doesn't work, and hasn't worked in awhile. The evening front desk lady didn't give us any apologies and acted like she didn't care that it wasn't working. The maintenance guy even said she was suspose to order it a long time ago. The breakfast has a lot to be desired but it was hot. I have paid less and got a lot better quality service. I will not be back.

The only good thing I have to say is that the room was clean, and spacious, with 2 TVs, and the breakfast was decent. The front desk lady at night was not helpful at all. Their own maintenance person complained about her while we were in the elevator. The jacuzzi outside didn't work, and they were susposedly have ordered a heater a long time ago. They didn't care that we were looking forward to that, and one of the reasons why we picked the hotel. We won't be back, and I have had nicer clean rooms with working ammenities for a cheaper price closer to downtown. You don't get what you pay for.. I picked this place because of pretty good reviews, we must have come at the wrong time.. as it was not what it was hyped up to be.

I was visiting my husband who is stationed at Fort Sam Houston. The hotel is very close to the base and other attractions. We stayed in the 2 queen suite. There is a Cracker Barrel next door, but the breakfast is good at the hotel they have a waffle bar, eggs, biscuits, and other continental breakfast items. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were much nicer then I expected. The only complaint I have is that we could not get the internet to work. The train tracks that run through the city are across the street but it isn’t that loud. I find it rather soothing but if it would bother you bring some ear plugs. I plan on staying here the next time I visit, which will be a lot being that my husband will be at Fort Sam Houston till the end of May.

I searched several hotels online before selecting Comfort Inn Suites on IH 35 @ Rittiman. I wasn't familiar with that part of San Antonio, so I was very happy to see that it was a great location! We were also happy to see that Cracker Barrel is right across the street, and we could just walk over for breakfast! We were the VIP Guests of the Day, which meant that we had our own front parking spot, and our room was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi (free of charge)!! We also had free coffee and a newspaper delivered the next morning...and there was a basket of goodies waiting for us in the room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, for a hotel bed---just like being in our own bed at home! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which is (unfortunately) quite an unusual "treat" in today's society! We have nothing but good things to say about our stay at this hotel, and we definitely plan to go back!!

Both the shower head and the tub plug were inoperable.

we had a great stay, the breakfast was always fresh and hot. The rooms were very spacious, didn't feel cramped like alot of hotels. Very much enjoyed the hot tub outside being kept clean and hot. We had airline ticket problems, and the staff went well beyond what they needed to do to help us clear up our mistake. We felt like family their. Thanks Tony and Mary.

You get what you pay for. I felt as if I never left home. The staff was helpful and the front desk always had a cheerful smile. The rooms where spacious, clean, the beds where comfortable. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Thank you Comfort Suites.

Our experience at the Comfort Suites was very enjoyable. We were greeted promptly and had the luck of being the VIP for the day. WE got a front row parking spot and got our room upgraded to a jacuzzi suite at no extra charge. The room was very spacious and met our needs perfectly. If I were to say there were some negatives it would be minimum. The front room was hard to keep cool because the ac unit was in the bedroom. The breakfast was okay. There was no meat which was a little disappointing, but who can argue with free. We would definetly go back if we were in San Antonio.

The staff was extremely helpful and considerate. I really liked the comforters on the beds - very cozy. The one drawback was the distance from downtown. It cost $20.00 each way by taxi.

We stayed in the two-room suite and loved it. Other than having a very roomy, comfortable, suite, the free breakfast was wonderful.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast was great with lots to choose from: scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal and sweet rolls, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable with the pillow top mattresses and super soft pillows. Our family loves to stay where there is two TV's: one for the parents and one for the kids. Also the wireless internet was a huge plus and easy to access. We wish we had more time there to use the great workout room and pool/hot tub. We had an event at the Alamodome one day and then did the riverwalk, Rivercenter Mall, etc. the next day and it was worth the short drive (10 min.)to those attractions than to pay the big bucks wanted for less of a room closer to town. We'll stay again for sure!

Pleasant to receive upgrade and VIP of the day on our arrival. Room clean, accomodations were good. Area not the best, but was ok. Most disappointing was the pool area, very small, not heated. Area not landscaped too well. Overall, staff was very courteous and the breakfasts were good. Adequate value for the cost.
