Nice place to stay, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and very comfortable. We booked the hotel because it said there was a bar/lounge on the webpage. There is a bar - a breakfast bar - and a lounge. We wanted to just chill and have a drink later in the evening, however there was no bar. Great breakfast spread - we were in town for a basketball game - tough to get situated; called ahead to see when our room would be ready since we were on a tight time crunch, wasn't ready for when we were told it would be. Annoying, but not a biggie.

The Hampton Inn is a middle of the road hotel. For the money, it is an excellent choice. There was nothing wrong with this hotel except for noise. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors through the wall, even though they were speaking at normal sound levels, not shouting. Doors opening and closing were especially loud and disturbing. My husband had to go to the drugstore and buy earplugs so he could sleep.

We were dropping our daughter at Syracuse University so we went up the day before, stayed over and left in the morning. Everything was fine. The exercise room was lacking so I ran around the parking lot a few times.

I wasn't very satisfied with our stay. The location was great; close to restaurants and major highways, but the room was not at all satisfactory. There was dust covering and hanging from the ceiling fan in our room and our beds were small (full size). We are not big people and the full size bed was very uncomfortable to sleep 2 people. Breakfast was the best feature with hot oatmeal and toppings and egg omlet, etc. The door to the bathroom seemed warped and did not close completely and one bed appeared a little lumpy in comparison to other. Staff very friendly and the rates were great for 3 people.

Right off Route 81 North, it's very convenient to the Carousel Center and just a short distance from Downtown. If you're heading to Canada, this is the place. Beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Several decent places to eat within a block or two.

Our stay was brief but enjoyable. As a Thanksgiving Day holiday some of the area ammenities were not available but that is not the fault of the hotel. The place was bright and clean and fit our needs very well.

Hotel is what you expect for the price. Rooms are basic, beds are good, furniture is really cheap, but the rooms are clean. Our major problem is that they advertised WIFI in the rooms, and I was counting on it to prepare for a presentation the next day. The internet was so slow it took over 3 hours to download a 5MB presentation. I moved into the lobby […] to check the speed there and it was the slow speed I experienced in the room. I talked to the desk clerk, and she said that her computer was running really slow to, but she thought it restarted sometime in the night, but she could do nothing about it until maintenance got there in the morning. We stopped here as a halfway point between Maine and Chicago, and everything was great. Hotel staff helpful, everything perfect for this level of hotel. We could even walk to a mediocre restaurant with a bar for Mom and Dad and arcade games for the kids and we could keep an eye on each other.
