Reception staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to book a tour of the city with the front desk. The food was a bit over priced, but we did splurge and order room service one night. Our kids loved it there and the pool was fun for them. It was only a 20 minute walk to the downtown area, which was great because parking in the city is a nightmare! […] The only negative thing that I can say is that their parking rates are OUTRAGEOUS! The hotel is near by from all the attractions. You will need to take a cab but they are very cheap to go around the city. The hotel is safe and truly a 5 star hotel. I recently rented a room for 5 days so I could celebrate the New Year in Prague. When I got to the hotel, I was happy with the service, and cleanliness of the room. However, the quality of the room, for the amount I paid wasn't up to my standard. There was just nothing special about this hotel that justified the cost. I got little more than a 3 star […] hotel with the Hilton name brand. The Hilton was hosting it's own New Years celebration, which I thought was awesome until I asked how much it was to attend. The ticket price was well over $500 a person for one night. I walked past the party on New Years, and again, I wasn't impressed... We stayed in an executive room 7th floor , the rooms are large, comfortable, our room was facing outwards - it is to be said that there are two types of romms , part are facing towards outside and part towards the inner court of the hotel - in my opinion the first type is better (especially as it was with the preparations for the New Year - a bit noisy […] in the inner part). The advantage of the executive is access to the executive lounge untill evening without surcharge, food and beverages served there -changes depending hours. Also breakfast can be served there a la carte. At the same level there is the Internet room with enough computers all day long. The service in the hotel was excellent during all our staying in all the areas. The problem reported by several persons regarding the distance from the center - I think it is not crucial as by foot you get to the center in 10-15 minutes, there is also metro and tram at 2 minutes distance. The Sky Lounge at 9th floor is something special - the quality of the cocktails , the atmosphere and the view on Prague - not to be missed!!! (reserve in advance). I think the hotel is suitable for most of the persons coming to Prague , even families with children (there were a lot there during Christmas). Read more

Not too far to walk to the old town square and the hop on-hop off bus stop was just around the corner. My room was very comfortable and having a separate toilet room was quite a luxury. Cloud 9 bar on the 9th floor provided a wonderful view of the city at night :-)

This huge Hilton caters a lot to tour groups. I found check-in during early evening and check-out around noon to be very slow. It seems that staff-to-guest ratio to be rather low. As compare to other hotels I stayed in the same league, the staff in this hotel are green. The front desk staff seems like on job training at my check-in. She could not find me in the system. Then decided to check me in anyway. While I was about to sign the paper, I noticed nothing on the form was correct, wrong name, wrong adress, etc... and the explaination […] is someone spelled my name wrong... The male conceierge could be more cordial regading my reqest for a postage stamp. Instead of stating "I don't have stamps, I am responsible for transportation only..." he could have offered more help telling me it's her colleague who takes care of postage. Read more

The hotel is very good for a vacation and within walking distance of the old town and transport The front desk however is very poor. They are under staffed and the staff who are scheduled are more interested in talking with each other and how they look than for example checking someone in. 3 of our party of 4 individually checked into 2 separate rooms. […] The FASTEST check in was 35 minutes..... One morning I had the audacity to ask if they had a weather forecast. While she twirled her hair she told me she didn't know but would guess 20c. I asked if it was a forecast or her opinion. She said 'it's what I think'. The weather had been poor so I said I actually wanted a forecast... Is rain predicted today? Could she check the web please? This was one of the best stays in terms of comfort, facilities and value deals. Reception was very courteous, no waiting time and promptly guided to the room. Room were well maintained and stocked. The only thing missing was a map of Prague or Prague inside which you would have expected at the Hilton's. The general service level was very high at all […] the interactions be at Spa, Restaurant, all around - barring a very unfortunate incident where we found the chef in the breakfast service preparing the Omeletes extremely rude, impolite and insensitive to cultural differences. In addition, this Chef was using the same instruments and apparatus to prepare Omeletes with / without meats. The dinner service in the restaurant was extremely courteous and polite. The breakfast did have a vast range of options. The concierge was also very useful with infomation on where to go and how. The lHotel ocation itself is not bang in the old town but it is 2 tram stops away and tram stop is like a 5 mt walk but it helps to buy the ticket at the Hotel via concierge, the ticket counter at the tram stop is very slow. The cloud 9 bar offers a nice view of Prague at night with a drink to go with it. All in All, would recommend this as a value deal. Go for it!! Read more
