Nice proximity to the Ferry building, heart of the SF financial district. Good breakfast place across the street (Elephant Bar) and the Tadich Restaurant is a classic dating back to 1849. Lots of walking required.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great stay in SF"
Best vacation in 7 years. Rode bicycles over Golden gate bridge, took harbor tour, rode the cable cars, went to the Academy of Science in golden gate park, and did LOTS of walking. Weather was near perfect everyday, with high around 70 and lows about 60. Found some very nice places to eat, too. John's Grill was excellent. Last day we rented car and […] drove along US 1. Looking forward to coming back someday soon. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Everything was great, we suggest parking across the street at a rate of 33 dollars per day. Skip bar 333 if you're hungry though, the food is terrible and drinks are overpriced for their quality. Other than the bar, the place is perfect! Head to Specialty's for excellent Intelligencia coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. This hotel is a great […] deal. The hotel was perfect. We got a luxury suite. It was a great size with a balcony that had a table and chairs. We wanted a bucket of ice and champagne flutes when we arrived they apologized and said it would take a little bit, it only took 30minutes. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The view was breath taking. A block away from safeway and we walked […] to fishermans wharf. Again the service was outstanding Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice business location"
Hotel is conveniently located in business district. Informal meeting facilities are wonderful as is the outdoor spaces.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel Convenient Location"
I loved the hotel. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only complaint I have is that the valet parking is $55 per day, which is insane coming from Las Vegas where we have free valet parking as a standard accommodation. I was just a bit taken back, but I guess that's how it is in SF.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of this hotel was good. Close to Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39. Hotel was comfortable. Parking pricy $61 per night, we did it for the ease and convenience.Genuine Expedia guest review
Love the modern décor. Incredibly spacious for a city!Genuine Expedia guest review

This is a great hotel, staff was amazing, room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Close to China Town and union square which was nice. The dessert menu is epic. Would go back for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very pleasant hotel. I wish the work out room was on an upper floor with windows though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't Stay Here"
I had multiple issues while at this hotel for 2 nights. Sliding bathroom door was off the track and was very difficult to move. No one attempted to fix it until day 2 when I requested it be repaired. Maintenance man tried to fix it while I held a flashlight for him for over 40 minutes because the hall light didn't work. After the 40 minutes, I told […] him I was going to request another room. I went downstairs and the front desk staff were talking to guests so i approached the Concierge. She looked quite annoyed with me and said I had to wait and speak to the front desk staff and she couldn't help me. I did get a new room but this process wasted over an hour of my day and then I had to change rooms. Night 1 - Stain on comforter. Went to call housekeeping, but the phone didn't work. Front desk staff was very rude when we arrived to check in. I overheard another staff member ask for a telephone number so they could call her when her room was ready. I asked to give my number for the same service and was told "We don't do that. Just come back after 3" I spoke to the manager when I checked out to discuss the issues we encountered. She credited my Starwoods Membership account with some points, but definitely didn't get much value at this hotel and would not stay here again. Best part of the hotel was the wonderful doormen like Eric! Jenna at the Front Desk was very hepful. That's about it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Le Meridien San Francisco Thank you for writing. We appreciate the feedback and take it very seriously. Please accept our apology for the bathroom door and the way the repair was handled. I can completely understand your frustration with the process. We are sorry that you had to wait for it to be repaired and that you even had to help. I understand how valuable time is to you. We will use your feedback on the attitude of the staff and the cleanliness of the room to help us in our training. Your comments help us to improve. Thank you for sharing it with us. Finally, we will share your kind comments about Eric and Jenna.

"weekends closed! ?!?!?"
everything about this hotel is excellent staff, location, service A+ but plan accordingly because we arrived on Saturday and the whole neighborhood was closed. What's up with that restaurants, bars, businesses. We found out later that weekends were closed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was not cleaned properly prior to my arrival. The room furniture and furnishing seemed quite old and outdatedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Le Meridien San Francisco I am sorry that the room was not cleaned well and that the room seemed outdated. We will address the cleaning issue with the staff. Also, we are currently working on the details for a room refresh in the near future. We hope you have an opportunity to stay with us again when it is completed. I am sure you will be pleased with the results.
"An Immense Pleasure"
I had never stayed at a Le Meridien before, and all I can say after this experience is that I can't wait to do it again. Everything was pitch perfect, from door to room and all the wonderful details in between. Bravo, Le Meridien San Francisco!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was excellent. Bath towels were kinda chintzy for such a place & there was no top sheet on the - just the duvet, kinda weird.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for our weekend getaway"
Room was really nice and clean. We liked the cool playlist that was playing in the elevator and lobby. Breakfast at the restaurant was the most expensive breakfast I've ever paid for but it was really good!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A really underwhelming hotel at a really high price.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Le Meridien San Francisco Thank you for writing to us about your recent stay. I am sorry that your stay left you feeling under whelmed. That is really is disappointing for me to hear. We hope you have an another opportunity to stay with us so we can change your opinion and leave you with a much better impression. I hope you got to experience many of the local attractions as there are so many great things to do around us and our concierge team would be more than happy to help organize a memorable trip for you. We hope to see you again in the future.
"Great business hotel"
Stayed for one night. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is was a bit small and outdated. Staff was very friendly at the check in. Great location and walking distance to embarcadero, ferry marketplace and restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
Considering the price, I was very disappointed in this hotel. For $300 plus a night, I think you could do much better in SF. My stay was not remotely close the standard I've come to expect from Le Meridien. Aside from the lobby, this facility could do with some updating. There was no coffee-tea setup in the rooms. Complimentary coffee and tea was available […] mornings in the restaurant; however, on two occasions all of the large coffee dispensers were empty and no one in the restaurant could be found to refill them. Our room was tidied up only partially daily. Topping it all, we were woken daily at 7AM by union protesters. Seems Le Meridien has let its labor contract lapse. Not even a partial effort was made to accommodate us and the other guests for the inconvenience. The hotel was, however, more than happy to charge us for incredibly slow and unreliable wi-fi access. On the bright side, I found the valet parking staff and the doormen to be top notch. The concierge staff, on the other hand, while generally helpful, seemed more or less resigned. Response by Le Meridien San Francisco Thank you for writing about your recent stay. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to improve. I am sorry you were disappointed in the rooms. We are in the process of planning a guest room renovation right now and I am sure you will be pleased with the results when it is completed. We do offer great complimentary coffee but that does not help you if the dispensers are empty. There is also no excuse for the room not being cleaned properly. All of this feedback is helpful and we will discuss it as a team during our frequent and ongoing training sessions. We will review our procedures on how both of these are serviced and fix this for the future. We absolutely sympathize with you for the early-morning disturbance caused by the protestors during your last stay with us. Unfortunately, as the protestors have no affiliation with the hotel, we have no control over their actions. The protest was carefully carried out within the letter of the law as set down by both Federal and City ordinances, and we are unable to interfere with the protestors’ legal rights. We are a non-union hotel and we are sorry that you were led to believe that we had a contract that lapsed. None of the protestors are our associates and we cannot approach them or intervene in their legal right to protest. We do sincerely wish there was more we could to support our guests and associates but our hands are unfortunately tied. Thank you again for staying with us. We are truly sorry that you were disappointed in your stay.
Overall good experience. They upgraded us to a top floor and gave us a free drink for my boyfriend's birthday. Only real downside is their parking is $60 a day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Expensive, but worth it!"
I have stayed at Le Meridien San Francisco several times now. From my point of view, it is perfectly located for a number of reasons. If you are lucky enough to get a higher floor with a view of the Bay, you are in for a visual treat. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds, and the staff with whom I dealt with at every level were efficient, […] friendly, and really seemed to be glad to work at the hotel and assist guests. "Friendly and helpful staff"
We chose this hotel for its close location to the start line of the S.F. Marathon which my daughter ran. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We were always greeted with a hello and "welcome back" by the doorman. The concierge provided us with helpful information about places to eat and how to get around. Only 5 minutes from the start line. Comfortable! Understanding staff regarding shabbat access, thankful for that.Genuine Expedia guest review
Was a nice hotel. In the financial district, so hardly any restaurants open nearby... Place across the street (elephant & castle) was TERRIBLE. Service was awful and we walked out the second time. Pretty close to the usual areas, but cans can be expensive... The hotel reaturant is even more expensive. The parking fee is ridiculous.... The Le Meridien is in a perfect location to walk safely up to North Beach restaurants, ( 10 minutes ) and, to the Ferry Building. My 18th floor room was fine, great view and quiet. A C worked well. Large private balcony is wonderful. All good, other than the Lobby layout...re locate the check in desk and Concierge across the Lobby so that its a short […] walk to the Elevators. And guests checking in will not have to wheel their bags through those circulating into the Lounge area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, very clean hotel, responsive staff"
It was a nice stay. Although the hotel is trying to look more like for rich people and all visitors and the staff tried to keep standoffish look, at the end of all everyone was very kind and responsive, so I'd rather treat this as a tribute to European style than a real wish to show their superiority. Room was clean, calm, ample, and had a very nice […] view at the city center. The furniture is modern, new, the bath is roomy, comfortable... the bed? the bed was too big and too cozy for one :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Hotel in San Francisco"
Loved our stay at Le Meridien. Hotel was priced appropriately and was clean and very modern. The only "deficiency" in my mind was that the workout facility had a couple of tread mills that were not working and there was no sauna or steam room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Tried this hotel because they had a promotional rate going on. As this was my first experience with this hotel, I had no expectations except seeing the rating on expedia; for which I have booked many hotels and flights. Staff was great. The room was great. "Hotel staff was great. Valet is aweful"
Hotel staff was amazing this entire trip and the rooms were wonderful. Unfortunately the valet was a different story. I was forced to pay $120 in valet fees even after they curbed my car wheels right in front of me. They used it as a bribe. "We will pay for your parking if you don't have us file a claim." Obviously the wheel was going to need replacement […] and the whole situation was not handled professionally Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
