"Great place for family"
We had a wonderful stay here while looking for an apartment in the area and I worked in Manhattan. It greatly reduced the stress of our move to NY.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simply amazing service"
From the moment we arrived we could tell the service here would be great. The valet's insistence on carrying our two small overnight bags were the omen of that. We let the front desk know we were staying one night to attend a holiday party nearby and the young lady there promptly let us know that she could call us a cab if we called the front desk when […] we were ready, she even told us where there was a great nail salon nearby. We arrived in the room and after about 10 mins received a phone call to make sure the room was perfect, and it was. Very spacious and luxurious. We eventually did take her up on the offer of calling us a cab but the phone dropped the call to the front desk. Before we could dial again, there was a technician there to apologize and swap it out for us. No exaggeration. Eventually, they did attempt to call us a cab but could not get us one due to heavy demand, so, the hotel staff dropped us off at the party in the hotel shuttle so that we would not be late! Simply amazing service. This is our hotel of choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Every thing was great nice hotel, great food around the neighborhood, but it was very hot and the room a/c could not handle itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was a great find. The neighborhood is very nice, and the train/bus station is at the end of the block and across the street. Train takes you right into the city (Penn Station). The restaurant (The Giraffe?) was great. They had a Saturday night special that was great, and Fran at the bar was excellent (and I am a critical patron). Room was […] good, pillows were good, service was good. Would definitely stay again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff made it very comfortable and accommodating for us. Switched room to give us our expectations--divided rooms. Valet was there for our every need.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not far from Feinstein Inst where i do business"
Very nice hotel in nice area. Wish i could have stayed longer to do some shopping in nearby shops. Valet parking available and not expensive. Food good. Staff friendly. Will definately return in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
everything was really nice. The hotel is pretty and clean. I asked for late checkout and they were very willing to accomadate us. The only problem was that at 11:00 am..which was actually earlier than regular checkout i had housekeeping knocking at the door...and the do not disturb sign was on the door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to town center"
The hotel was very clean and attractive. It is down the street from the train station as well as down the street from the center of town. I went to the Thanksgiving banquet the hotel has which was excellent- good variety of food excellently prepared. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, clean, well-furnished and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Inn at Great Neck"
Spacious room and bathroom; reception desk friendly and efficient; parking valets very attentive and polite. Bed very comfortable, but need to change down pillows to firmer ones. Can walk to main shopping street in town with lots of restaurants, cafes, etc. and is short walk to LIRR train station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I recently stayed two nights at this hotel, on a business trip. The hotel property is very nice, decorated in a tasteful and classy art-deco style. The neighborhood is nice and convenient. I could walk to restaurants, and the train station. The rooms are modern. They remind me of a Marriott hotel room, with nice furnishings and comfortable beds, but with a few art-deco finishes. The bathrooms are very nice. But the reason I enjoyed my stay the most, was the staff! They were friendly and very helpful. Tanja, at the front desk helped me with local restaurant selection, and train schedules. Also.. the staff greeted me by name every time they saw me in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again!

Inn at Great Neck, N.Y. 30 Cutter Mill Road Tel: 001-516-773-2000 www.innatgreatneck.com Visited June 30, 2014 Good location: railroad very near hotel, as well as shopping, pharmacies, many restaurants, movie theater. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, with very polite, helpful staff, and a very good on-site restaurant. The room was well-equipped with all amenities, including an iron and ironing board, filter coffee machine, some free snacks and was well-equipped for business guests. Ask for room facing front. The back rooms are near the railroad. We had a good room facing the front on the 4th floor.

Once again my business brought me to Long Island and I had the opportunity to spend two nights at this property. The location is terrific and only one block from the LI RR station. The front desk was very friendly and efficient. My room was clean, fresh and of good size. Again I must comment on the beds and how comfortable they are. I had a really nice experience and look forward to returning next year.

Stayed three nights the end of June for my niece's wedding. I booked two rooms, both on the third floor rear overlooking the train tracks. The noise was nothing to speak of at all, and certainly not a reason to pass up this great hotel. Both rooms were clean, well appointed, and well maintained. The beds are fantastic, and just what was needed after flight delays on the way into town. Staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. Loved the easy one-block walk to the train station for our day trip into Manhattan. I would certainly stay here again and gladly recommend it to anyone.
"Great hotel and service"

We stayed here because of a friend's wedding at a nearby country club. The hotel is absolutely amazing in every sense. The rooms are clean and modern with free wi-fi and all of the staff, from the front desk to the concierge, were friendly and accommodating in every way. The breakfast buffet at the bar/restaurant inside the hotel was also incredible with amazing service. Whenever I give an overwhelmingly positive review I always like to mention the most negative part of the experience just to dispel any bias. In the case of the inn at great neck that was probably the elevators. There are only two and it seemed that during particularly busy times they could not handle the traffic in an efficient manner. But that is really nitpicky and it did not in any way diminish the otherwise stellar experience. I highly recommend this hotel for any kind of stay.
"Good location and polite service in Great Neck"

We chose this place for several nights of a business trip because it was one of a surprisingly small number of well-rated places to stay on Long Island. (Considering the remarkable amount of wealth represented on Long Island, and especially in the neighborhood of Great Neck, it's amazing how few well-rated hotels there are here!) The staff here are relatively young (with one exception, Paul, an older man who seemed a little uncomfortable). Nonetheless, they are not the awkward teenagers who seem to staff most American hotels and motels these days. Indeed, the politeness of the staff (another "un-American" feature) explains part of this hotel's high grades and SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) certification. The car valets are quick and do not expect tips. The front-desk staff are consistently polite and helpful. Large ice buckets appear promptly upon request to housekeeping! There are two computers and one printer in the Business Center. We had a suite on the top (i.e., 5th) floor. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, and we wanted to be as far from "bar noise" as possible. And indeed, there were several adult birthday parties there during our stay (Good Luck! to that fellow who turned 100), and guests for nearby weddings routinely stay here. Nonetheless, from our suite we heard no internal noise. The suite was well air-conditioned, but we decided to open the large bay-windows at night for fresh air. This allows a fair bit of street noise in. The hotel is just off the main road (which is Middle Neck Rd) and restaurant strip, and many restaurants, as well as a drugstore and large food mart, are a short walk away. In other words, the location is excellent for leaving your car in their garage and walking. The train station is also a short walk away. The room had a fridge and a microwave, which both proved helpful. The TV was limited to 40 channels, however, - the least useful 40 channels. We were on a semi-business trip, and found that a chair of appropriate height for tabletop computer-work (i.e., a standard adjustable business chair) was not available in the suite. This was one of the very few faults of this place. The staff made mighty efforts to find a chair of appropriate height, however, and we finally settled on a tall stool brought up from the bar! If you have business or leisure in Great Neck, then this is the place for a dignified and well-located stay. Better for couples and business travelers than for families or younger people. Take the kids somewhere else, and let the grownups stay here.

Rooms are very clean-we had jacuzzi and nice size bathrooms!Plenty products(shampoos, washes, etc) on hand.Close to train. Also had nice buffet breakfast in morning...and food was hot(sometimes cold when you go to some places)..Our room was in front and we didn't hear any noise-we were on fourth floor.Very accomodating staff-would stay again.
"Spent Two Nights for Wedding"

The Inn was the hotel selected for a wedding we were attending. The reservation agent was extremely helpful when we had to add additional people to our room. The room itself was spacious for four people and clean. My only negative would be housekeeping not providing additional paper products, coffee etc. on the second day. The bed was made but I had to request these items. We were at the front of the hotel and it is true you can hear the noise from the street.
"A really neat hotel"

I have stayed at this place twice in the last 3 months for 4 night stays. It is a great spot and the staff are first class. Front desk, bellmen, bar staff : all brilliant. Rooms are well appointed and it is a pity that the restaurant never appears to be busy during the week, the food is really good but there are plenty of other eating options in the town I guess. 20 minutes into Manhatten on the train is another huge plus. I highly recommend The Inn. I work near JFK when I am in New york (Jamaica) but the drive only takes 20 minutes and it feels like you are in another world
