There was evidence of what appeared to be mold in the hems of the plastic curtain on the bathroom window. The mattress was very soft. The "breakfast" items were limited and may or may not have been frozen as they did not taste very fresh. On the other hand, the neighborhood is residential, quiet, but definitely walking distance to Dupont Circle, Woodley […] Park, Adams Morgan,and Metro stations as well as stops for several bus lines. This is a pleasant European-style hotel (i.e., rooms are small). It is a 15 minute walk to the subway. The neighborhood is up-scale, with many embassies close by. Our only complaint was that the heat was up to high, and we couldn't seem to regulate it. We would stay here again.

This hotel was substantially less than all the surrounding hotels. It is older and the rooms are fairly small but we had no complaints. Water pressure and temperature were good, didn't hear any of our neighbors, and was a nice walk to anywhere we needed to be around Dupont Circle. Will stay here again.

The room was small, clean, quiet, relatively comfortable. I can't say much about the 'continental breakfast'...it was uninspired. The local is excellent if you want to be close to DuPont Circle.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There is not much for amenities, (although the complimentary continental bkfst was nice; bagels, croissants and muffins with coffee, tea and juice ). An easy walk to the Adams Morgan area for eats and entertainment, and a few blocks walk from the Metro to get to central DC. We stayed two nights and for the price and location is was Okay. The hotel seems a bit too quiet/ dark. However, the bathroom appeared to be just re-done really really clean and the great thick towels. The bed was nice also. No insects or rodents. Nice hot coffee and muffins/bagels. Parking on the street was also not a problem - need to out by 9:00 […] a.m. but free - so great. Not the Ritz but for as quick stay it was okay. If you have $250 per night stay somewhere else. I am an independent consultant, traveling at my own expense. I won't stay at ths hotel again even though the price is very appealing. Too remote. Too old. Too small. Great location. Just a few minutes walk from the Hilton where the red and yellow hop-on bus stops. The restaurant around the corner was great value too. Bad experience:1. No parking at the hotel. You have to drive to the Hilton parking garage three blocks away and then carry your stuff back and forth to your car. 2. My room was very cold. I was told in the morning that the hotel has (a very old) central heating and cooling system and they have yet to switch to heat. Terrible.

I was only in my room at most any night 7 hrs only to sleep. I think if I was going to be in and out of my room or spending more time in my room I would have upgraded. But for a place to sleep, short walk to underground, it was clean, staff pleasant, and simple.

It was reasonably clean and comfortable. Great location and half the price of the surrounding hotels. Towel rack was broken. No place to put to toiletries except to balance on edge of sink and use top of toilet bowel. You get what you pay for.

When I booked, I was somehow under the impression that it had just been updated. It had not. The bathroom had been re-surfaced in the shower and on the walls. The bathroom was TINY, and there was no countertop for all of the stuff that we take along with us. Upon check-in, arrived a room to find that key did not open the door. After going back to the front desk, I learned that the desk clerk failed to tell me that a barely visible keyhole in the door handle was the appropriate place to insert the key, not the very prominent lock and keyhole above the door handle. Then, while settling in, I discovered that […] the TV did not work. Front desk sent someone to check on it and they finally decided to move me to a different room. Both rooms were very small, with very cramped bathrooms. Breakfast was very meager in a cramped and crowded small room, plus no other dining facility could be found anywhere in the hotel....hence no room service available. No parking lot. We were told to park at the side of the street along Kalorama Avenue until 9 am. We however got a ticket since the sign stated we cannot park along that road from 7 am to 6:30 pm.

Doors away from one of the best Restaurants in the city, Amada (jose Garces), a block from Independence Hall, B.
