"Wont stay again"
I was most disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel room, it disgusted me and the maid service was awful, I was standing there in my underwear and the maid just walked in and didn't even knock and left the door open. I spoke to the front desk about it and they simply said "oh she must be new". I actually checked out earlyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Satying in DC"
This hotel as a place to stay is okay. Nothing special. It was clean, but the overall appearance and upkeep is worn. I will say that the staff was outstanding and very pleasant, but for the cost I would have liked to see the physical condition better. That being said, They did offer the best rate compared to other hotels in the area for the weekend […] I stayed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shabby older hotel - but does the job."
When I booked, I was somehow under the impression that it had just been updated. It had not. The bathroom had been re-surfaced in the shower and on the walls. The bathroom was TINY, and there was no countertop for all of the stuff that we take along with us. There was a medicine cabinet that, had it not been so dirty inside, would have helped with the […] space problem. The bed was fine. The carpet was in need of a stretch. The room was TINY. But we didn't go to DC to stay in the room all the time, so it provided a place to lay our heads and wash up. Compared to the nearby hotels, the price was much better. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Short safe 7 minute walk to many restaurants. Simple clean room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Upon check-in, arrived a room to find that key did not open the door. After going back to the front desk, I learned that the desk clerk failed to tell me that a barely visible keyhole in the door handle was the appropriate place to insert the key, not the very prominent lock and keyhole above the door handle. Then, while settling in, I discovered that […] the TV did not work. Front desk sent someone to check on it and they finally decided to move me to a different room. Both rooms were very small, with very cramped bathrooms. Breakfast was very meager in a cramped and crowded small room, plus no other dining facility could be found anywhere in the hotel....hence no room service available. Free wireless computers in small room just off the small lobby was a plus. Quite pricey for what you get. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff was most helpful; the hotel was clean. I wish the windows would have opened since I like fresh air. Next time you renovate, please use different color for the carpeting to make it less dingy looking. There was definitely not enough light in the room to work with. I liked the big table in the business center a lot specially that I could not […] work in my room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convert this to a dormitory"
No parking lot. We were told to park at the side of the street along Kalorama Avenue until 9 am. We however got a ticket since the sign stated we cannot park along that road from 7 am to 6:30 pm.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quite good for the price"
Very nice little hotel, not fancy but for the price and location it's a good choice. Room was bigger than expected. Close to Dupont Circle, very nice neighborhood. Hilton and Marriott just a few yards away. Close to many attractions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Heaven on Earth . BEST LOCATION!"
After a not so great stay in DC, this was a surprise gift from the heavens! Beautiful, comfortable, extremely nice and helpful staff. Doors away from one of the best Restaurants in the city, Amada (jose Garces), a block from Independence Hall, B. Franklin, Liberty Bell etc. Rooms were high end but in period style, lobby had tea and snacks in the PM. […] Breakfast was serve yourself Waffles, cereals, toasts, etc etc. Parking a block away. "Serviceable and economical"
The lower rate clearly makes this hotel appealing, and you get what you pay for--a serviceable, slightly worn, but tidy hotel. With a total makeover, it would be able to charge much higher rates given its good location, but for now, it's a good choice, if you don't require the latest in decor and amenities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, quaint hotel"
It was very easy and inexpensive to get into DC - bus or metro lines. Hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable, and in an excellent neighborhood. The breakfast was no frills (just bagels, muffins, juice, and coffee), but better than nothing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A big NO"
Ugh.. don't stay here unless you absolutely have to. The beds are really uncomfortable, and the room is straight out of the 50's. The mattress felt like I was sleeping on plastic - it made noise whenever I moved! I was here on business and the only thing I needed from the staff was to call me a cab each morning, which they couldn't do. They were VERY […] nice about it, but I had to walk to the Hilton down the road with my computer, luggage etc because their cab company "wasn't answering the phone." I didn't really understand what the problem was, as they told me both nights that they could get me a cab in the AM. The entire hotel smells very musty, moldy and stale with old smoke. My room was clean though, and the bathroom lokos like it had been redone. This could be such a cute boutique hotel if they cared enough to renovate. It's certainly a good value, but thats about it. "Ok, i guess......"
The room was very warm and I could not turn on the AC because it was controlled by the building. To get the room to cool, I had to open the window. I wasn't a huge deal because I was only staying for one night. I would not reccommend this hotel for more than one night.Genuine Expedia guest review

"great location no parking needs better breakfast"
hotel is in a great location, there is no parking and the themostat in rooms don't work, we tried to turn down but nothing happened. the bathrooms have been updated but above shower was mold on ceiling, and floor was dirty in corners. beds were comfortable. breakfast is small selection for price...bagel,muffin or croissant is what is offered no butter […] for croissants...they do offer coffee and apple and orange juice. the staff were very nice and very helpful with direction etc.... the area is very safe and we walked everywhere. i would suggest switching computer room and food room and offer a few more items and finish the bathrooms off by deep cleaning them and taking down rusty tissue holder. btw i stayed in room 385. thanks Brian Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"March 2012 Stay"
The Windsor Park Hotel was in a nice area of DC, just a few blocks from multiple Metro stops. Our room felt small, outdated, and poorly lit, but it was clean and relatively quiet. All appliances worked without issue. The Windsor Park's staff was rather misleading with regard to some things before we arrived. I was told that there would be some overnight […] street parking available. The only legitimate street parking anywhere near the hotel happened to be two-hour parking; the desk attendant told us that the only way we could park overnight on the street was by finding a place nearby where the "NO PARKING" sign had fallen down and was not yet replaced. I called well ahead and asked if I may check into my room early; the attendant said that would not be a problem. However, when we arrived, I was told that the room with a queen bed we had reserved was not yet available, and that the only room we could check into at that time had a much smaller bed. That said, taking price into consideration, the Windsor Park Hotel is perfectly fine. It's nothing special, but it is safe and clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for business travelers"
Great for someone who wants a bed for the night without paying a fortune, as long as sleep time is limited to before 8 a.m. when the housekeeping starts vacuuming. If you need to sleep in due to late hours the night before, choose somewhere else. Breakfast consisted largely of pastries, with a few nice "heavy duty" muffins in the lot. Delicious pumpkin-bran […] muffin. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was a good price and walking distance to downtown and Dupont Circle. The rooms are a little tired but the location is also good for walking around that part of town which is a little leafier than a lot of downtown areas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, Comfortable, and Affordable"
What a great deal for the price! This hotel was incredibly affordable, and offered clean rooms & bathrooms, friendly staff, continental breakfast, and was in walking distance to public transportation. The fact is that many of us are not looking for a resort style everywhere we go, especially if we are spending most of our time out and about in a city. With that in mind, there is nothing overly fancy about this hotel. However, there is nothing overly bad either. "good experience but no parking"
We chose this hotel because of the location. The area is great and the hotel was accommodating for location. It was really hard to find parking after 4:30/5:00pm in the area. After driving a long way, the people at the front desk had no suggestions or recommendations. I wish they would have helped us out a little, as it took us over an hour to find […] parking that was not close. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Had a really great experience here. Friendly staff, clean room, great rate, convenient location (lots of food just north of the hotel, plus the zoo and DuPont Circle within walking distance). Would definitely recommend and return again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good price for the location"
The hotel was a little dated. Everything seemed to pop out of a 1970's sitcom but beyond that they hotel was great. The staff were very nice, the breakfast was what you'd expect, and the surrounding neighborhood is awesome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DC's Hidden Gem"
Located on a beautiful, quiet tree-lined street with foreign embassies for neighbors, this hotel is a gem. It's small, no food service, but a kitchen with microwave is available on the lobby floor. Just steps away from Connecticut Ave. this hotel affords guests an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the Metro. The nightly rate is quite reasonable for […] the Washington, DC area. Nearby hotels charge 3 or 4 times more--granted for more luxurious rooms; however, if you don't plan to spend your day in a hotel room, the Windsor Park is an outstanding bargain. "Nice little hotel."
This is a nice little hotel I stay when I visit my child studying at American University. It's in a pleasant walking distance from the metro red line, Woodland Park - Zoo station. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Very easy access to AU (Tenleytown), Dupont Circle, Union Station, the Mall, etc. via metro and bus. Numerous restaurants […] between the metro station and the hotel along Connecticut Avenue. Yet, it's in a quiet residential neighborhood. "Excellent Service - Andre was very accommodating"
I stayed here to study and prepare for an interview. Andre was very helpful, even let me take a chair from the conference room up into my room so I can study. I didnt know they served breakfast, but after it was too late the staff told me about it, and actually went to the back and came back with a bagel, glass of orange juice and cream cheese. Thing […] was I didnt even ask! Another staff member got off the elevator and took the stairs so I could get on it with my bicycle! The room was in great condition despite the age of this hotel. The bathroom was very nice and recently remodeled. The cable had all the music channels. I was able to find on street parking when I needed it so did not have to pay parking. I used a bicycle as well, and it's close to everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again! Excellent Value and service. Terence Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Off Street Parking-YUK!"
The off-street parking was very inconvenient. After circling the surrounding blocks several times, we finally found a parking space 4 blocks away and parked right at the space opposite the arrow on the no-parking side of the pole. The bumper of my SUV and back tire were within the no-parking space though. I prayed I wouldn't have a ticket in the morning. […] I didn't. It is an no smoking hotel. But as always you're going to have some people who know this, but don't care about other people rights when it comes to getting a good deal. We only endure the smoke smell on the 1st night stay. As for the dirty curtains it wasn't so bad to know that after I turned away. The daybed and master bed squeaked. The bathroom smell of slight mildew coming from the floor under the sink. I brought a can of Glade air freshener for the second day stay. For a quick in/out stay and your expectations are not high-I was not to disappointed only because it was not far from the college dorm my child moved into. But the hotel clerks behind the desk were very nice and courteous. P.S. My adult said she liked the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
