"Great value in Awesome Neighborhood!"
This location was perfect for my work-related visit, but would probably be less than ideal for a family visiting to see the sites since it's about a half mile from the metro. Walkable to Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, and Columbia Heights, this is nestled in a residential neighborhood. Basically appointed, but comfortable in size, the room was standard; […] bathroom was small-ish but has a new shower and plenty of hot water (sometimes a concern in older buildings like this one!). Overall recommended if the location suits your plans. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place for the price"
This is an older property. The rooms are OK. The bath in my room was updated and very nice. You could pay more but for me this was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel with good access to DC."
I planned this trip for my fiancée's birthday. I am in local law enforcement and my fiancée is a teacher, so it was very important to me that the hotel room was affordable. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble on this gem of a hotel. I was not expecting room service or a number of fancy guest services so I was not disappointed. The clerks at the desk […] were friendly and knowledgeable of the area, providing us with good information on nearby available parking and food. The hotel was in a very nice neighborhood, quite literally next door to the Algerian Embassy, they Royal Thai Embassy and the Portuguese Embassy. Walking to the Metro was quite easy with the Woodley Park Metro station being less than 1/2 a mile away. There were a number of very good restaurants close to the hotel as well. Parking was a bit of a bear, but I've come to expect that in DC and was not surprised by this. Although the hotel was aged, it appears to have been well maintained and everything in the room worked as expected. I am planning another trip in the near future and I have every intention of staying at this hotel as well as encouraging friends to stay there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"As if there were no walls"
I kept waking up thinking people were in the room, because there was no difference in the sound volume than if people had actually been in my room, instead of upstairs or next door or out in the hall. Creaky. No reading light. Felt like a YMCA back in the day.Genuine Expedia guest review

old hotel but nearby the downtown. the facilities is old. the free breakfast is good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Let the buyer beware! (Caveat Emptor)"
In all my years of travel, I have NEVER stayed at a place like this. My photos tell part of the story. Here is what else you need to know: -TV looks like it belongs on a set at a Walt Disney World "ride", where they are playing reruns from the Cosby Show and Cheers. -NO PARKING. If you were thinking (as was I) that you could leave your car in the lot […] overnight and during your business meeting, you are sadly mistaken. The ONLY place to park will be in front of one of the nearby Consulates....but you gotta move your car by 7AM!! -A room that took me back to when my family traveled cross country in the 70s, and stayed in Days Inn Motels ( $8 and Up!) in the middle of nowhere when local hotels were booked solid. -"Air conditioner" was one of those old fashioned units where the air come on and off sporadically through the night, and BOY was it loud. -Shower curtain had two long black hairs on it. I am used to Boy Scouts camp showers, so this was on par with that. - I feel sorry for the people in the room below me. Every step I took sounded like sound effects for a horror B movie. Creeeeeakkkk....crackkkk....creak... -Look at my photos for bathroom walls and toilet seats Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall good experience. The service was excellent.i liked the feel of the hotel. Mattress was not comfortable. I woke up with back pain every morning. Would stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable, Close, Clean"
The hotel is definitely on the older end, but has some modern touches. Primarily, I chose this hotel because others in the price range sounded like they had some cleanliness issues. Even though elements were older, the room was clean and had the essentials. For me I loved that I was a few minutes walk from woodley park and dupont circle. Perfect for […] me as I woke, ran around all day and night, and just need a crash pad. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"charming hotel and location"
I have been visiting the Windsor Park for ten years, and would not consider staying anywhere else. Love the international feel and the location.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is not fancy and there are very few amenities. However, it is clean and the people are friendly. The location and price are the best parts. The location is excellent. The rates are about $150-200 per night less than the surrounding hotels. Access to the Metro is very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst hotel I've ever stayed"
The location is convenient to transportation. However, the room is horrible. Humid, noisy, dirty carpet along with old furnitures! The bathroom sink is small. Breakfast is super simple. Besides, you have to park your car in a garage about 5 minutes walk and pay 25 dollars for one night and one day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant hotel in nice surroundings."
Nice hotel, with cosy rooms and OK breaksfast, but with not enough room to sit. There is a conference room that can be used but it is not very practical.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Vacation August 2013"
Hotel location was good and price reasonable. Didn't mind the age of the hotel but feel the room was a bit dingy. It was a clean and quiet place to lay our heads. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only real desire was that the hotel had parkingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good hotel for the money. Parking can be an issue so be prepared to pay for parking in a garage which is $18 a day so it's not bad. Older hotel so the rooms are smaller and the bathrooms are small also. Hotel was clean and I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location just north of Dupont Circle"
This is an older hotel - it had an actual key for the door - but it was in a great location, very clean, the front desk and cleaning staff were very helpful and polite. There is a free continental breakfast; cable is included; no other frills or amenities. Definitely worth the money!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Business Visit to Windsor Park Hotel"
My visit/stay at the Windor was excellent. My flight was delayed which made my arrival to DC at 2:00 in the morning; 2 hours later than anticipated. My rental car provider was closed and I was stuck at the airport. The gentleman on duty gave me very good advice on obtaining a cab to the hotel. Once there, my check in was speedy and proficient. I had […] a little trouble getting television to work and instead of just talking me through, he came up to my room and got it going and explained how it work. I thanked him and told him he could have talked me through it. He responded, "You have had a rough enough night. This is the least I could do" I was very impressed at his willingness to go out of his way to be off assistance with something that could have been perceived as a small issue. "A Hotel I Will Not Revisit"
This hotel has not been updated in the last 30 years. The rooms are dark, the TV's are from the 70's and the entire building is just depressing. We stayed for tow nights which in my opinion was two nights too long. In order to save money I assume the hotel management put in 25 watt bulbs, the place was like a dungeon.Genuine Expedia guest review
Equipment in room should be maintained better (iron leaked badly and some buttons on microwave didn't function), and staff wasn't very helpful, but included breakfast was very good and location was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and very friendly."
This hotel worked very well for us. Our room was good sized. It could have been improved with a little more/better furnishings, like an extra chair and larger table tops. The bathroom would be improved by putting in extra towel rods and shelves for storing ones toiletries.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"tired hotel in a location near but not close"
hotel was tired,... very tired. staff was friendly, location good. Place is just tired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little bit off of the beaten path"
Hotel was basically acceptable and staff was accommodating; but the room was very old, creaky floors, small elevator, tiny kitchen room for breakfast and the air conditioning barely worked. There is no hotel parking at all and the street parking in the surrounding (very nice residential neighborhood) was nearly impossible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel near Dulles airport"

"Great Hotel for a Family"
This is an older building in a beautiful part of the city. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We enjoyed our three day stay here.Genuine Expedia guest review

"excellent hotel and very reasonable priced"
The Windsor Park Hotel's staff is its first assest, because they are more than accomodating, friendly and willing to help with any matter. Second, the rooms are quite attractive and well kept up and are cleaned on a daily basis. Third breakfast is served each morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very old hotel but clean. No parking anywhere in area. Continental breakfast very basic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was dark, shoddy and not wel maintained. The staff gave horrible instructions on how to find parking in the area --which was very expensive. The lobby seemed to be under construction the whole time I was there. Really unattractive and disappointing overall. The only thing decent about it was the location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dated hotel ok if price LOW"
Good staff, great location - lots of restaurants and metro/ buses. Bed comfortable Very dated room, old furniture/tv. Good tv selection. Needs a real update. Price equaled room at 149$ definitely NOT an 800$ room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice Hotel.......well situated...........decent breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"pluses and minuses--you decide"
There was evidence of what appeared to be mold in the hems of the plastic curtain on the bathroom window. The mattress was very soft. The "breakfast" items were limited and may or may not have been frozen as they did not taste very fresh. On the other hand, the neighborhood is residential, quiet, but definitely walking distance to Dupont Circle, Woodley […] Park, Adams Morgan, and Metro stations as well as stops for several bus lines. And the rates are very reasonable for DC. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"pleasant hotel and good location"
This is a pleasant European-style hotel (i.e., rooms are small). It is a 15 minute walk to the subway. The neighborhood is up-scale, with many embassies close by. Our only complaint was that the heat was up to high, and we couldn't seem to regulate it. We would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very pleasant, unpretentious, quiet. Not fancy, but comfortable. A good place if you want to forgo elegance and save money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inexpensive and no-frills"
Nice place, clean, in need of an update. Good for budget minded travelers nots planning on spending a whole lot of time in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great bang for the buck"
This hotel was substantially less than all the surrounding hotels. It is older and the rooms are fairly small but we had no complaints. Water pressure and temperature were good, didn't hear any of our neighbors, and was a nice walk to anywhere we needed to be around Dupont Circle. Will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great price for a great stay"
Great hotel, well maintained and contrary to other reviewers issues I had no hot water issues.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay for small budgets"
The hotel is great for small budgets. If you keep this in mind you will enjoy your stay. It is in great neighborhood, close to the Metro and attractions. The rooms are on the smaller side. Decent breakfast and free WiFi. The hotel staff is really nice. I would come back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"no frills hotel in nice part of DC"
The room was small, clean, quiet, relatively comfortable. I can't say much about the 'continental breakfast'...it was uninspired. The local is excellent if you want to be close to DuPont Circle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay here again... good location, good price"
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There is not much for amenities, (although the complimentary continental bkfst was nice; bagels, croissants and muffins with coffee, tea and juice ). There is free wifi, although it didn't seem to work very well in our room. They have computers near the lobby - just ask the front desk for their password. The […] room was clean and the shower was VERY hot, although not much strength in the water flow. The bed was comfortable enough. The best part for us was the location. An easy walk to the Adams Morgan area for eats and entertainment, and a few blocks walk from the Metro to get to central DC. We would recommend this, and we would not think twice about staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It worked for Two Nights and Location"
We stayed two nights and for the price and location is was Okay. The hotel seems a bit too quiet/ dark. However, the bathroom appeared to be just re-done really really clean and the great thick towels. The bed was nice also. No insects or rodents. Nice hot coffee and muffins/bagels. Parking on the street was also not a problem - need to out by 9:00 […] a.m. but free - so great. Not the Ritz but for as quick stay it was okay. If you have $250 per night stay somewhere else. I will stay again given the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I was somewhat surprised to find out when I arrived to check in that they had no parking. All guests have to fight for spaces on the neighborhood streets. Perhaps this fact was in their literature, but I don't recall reading it. Hotel was not particularly modern but it was very convenient to where I was going in the area. It was old and appointed with […] the basics, but still nice and inexpensive for the area. Safe neighborhood, too. Surrounded by embassies and consulates. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Too Spartan even for a self-employed consultant"
I am an independent consultant, traveling at my own expense. I won't stay at ths hotel again even though the price is very appealing. Too remote. Too old. Too small. I didn't feel comfortable working in the room...it's just too small. TV made a very distracting electronic humming noise when on. Continental breakfast included the expected muffins and […] such, but only chemical cream for the coffee. No coffee available at night anywhere reasonably nearby (for a female travelling alone). Too far from the activity of Dupont Circle. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Passable low cost hotel"
This hotel is fine for someone looking for a decent low cost hotel. The hotel is old and the rooms have passable though limited comfort. The bathroom is small but clean. The temperature control in the rooms is no existent. I like my room cooler and the only way to do that was open the window but even then it was difficult to cool the room down. "Nice place good location"
Great location. Just a few minutes walk from the Hilton where the red and yellow hop-on bus stops. The restaurant around the corner was great value too. Walls were a bit thin and didn't take much noise next door to filter through. One night it was a bit loud with a few blokes getting back late and continuing to party- throw a set of earplugs into your […] luggage just in case. This could be a criticism of many hotels so wouldn't use it against this place. Taxi to the train station was $15. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Night Of Shivers"
Bad experience:1. No parking at the hotel. You have to drive to the Hilton parking garage three blocks away and then carry your stuff back and forth to your car. 2. My room was very cold. I was told in the morning that the hotel has (a very old) central heating and cooling system and they have yet to switch to heat. Terrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Efficient and fine for the short stay"
Clearly a business quick stay hotel; or a family vacation stop on way to other things; parking an issue; clean, efficient and a bit rudimentary. Limited coffee and toast breakfast which is fine, but not the spread offered by other chains. A but expensive for the overall stay, but it is Downtown Washington DC after all--nothing is cheap in Washington--just […] ask the lobbyists buying Congressmen! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
