"Best Deal In Mammoth"
This place is GREAT! we have stayed in lots of mammoth hotel (from nice... to not so nice) but continue to book here because the value is great and it is nice enough and clean. after boarding all day i really could care less about luxury or paying $400 a night for a hotel. there is a HUGE hot tub to soak in after you get off the mountain, the location […] is great and withing walking distance to food and drinks. AND there is a free breakfast in the morning complete with eggs sausage and you can make your own belgain waffle. great deal! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but very austere feeling."
We were very surprised to find the lobby under construction, as well as the floor around the eating area, which was worked on while we were there. However, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the room was large and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We had a refrigerator and a microwave to use, and got along fine. We were happy with […] the price, under the circumstances. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"avoid Quality Inn in Mammoth Lakes"
This motel appears to be in massive physical decline or in the stages before renovation. Do NOT stay here until it's renovated. They didn't have any room keys left for me when I checked in around 9 p.m. There were no bath towels in the room, and the room was musty/dusty. Lots of broken, in repair or missing issues all around the hotel. The wi-fi was […] incredibly slow. The staff appeared to be helpful but didn't seem to be very interested in their work. "Stay in Hell"
We arrived at midnight after a long drive, have stayed at Quality Inns in the past and they were nice, the check in clerk pleasant but when we asked for the room key they told us it was broken and would let us in our room. There were no numbers on the door and the room was dirty with exception of bed. We did not want to put anything on the floor and […] ended up putting our bads on counter. There was not another room, no apology given. We slept until early morning and checked out, we did not even want to use the bathroom. We will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone we know. We could not leave fast enough! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"It's not worth the low rate!"
Hotel is ugly, run-down, and understaffed. Our room was missing light bulbs and the hotel had no replacements -- they had to take a bulb from another use. Our room was also missing towels, and after waiting for replacments, we finally got a couple from a person at the front desk. The thermostat in the room was broken and it was much too hot. The walls […] are thin, and staff would have discussions in the hall. Overall, an unpleasant experience in an unappealing place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Pleasantly surprised to find everything we needed: CLEAN comfortable bed, wireless internet, refrigerator AND microwave, television, fresh towels, convenient location, and amenities such as free breakfast bar, covered parking, elevator and luggage cart. Also the staff is friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again and again! Highly recommend!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"very good values"
Staff and manger very friendly and nice. Was very helpful even though we arrived during government shutdown. Very good location close to park and lots s to do in the area. Honest and nice personelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is in midst major renovations"
Our room was clean and updated, except for an unfinished bathroom light and lack of A/C. A fan was provided. The hallways were still being remodeled (room numbers were written on paper taped to the doors), hall carpets were paint specked and base boards unfinished, spa was not updated but was large and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
If you are in Mammoth and need a room for an affordable price, this is your hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hot breakfast makes it worth it! The only minor suggestion is that the hotel buy less scratchy towels, other then that, it was good. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dirty, but good location."
I would recommend it only because it's cheap, and one of the hotels in town that's close enough to the mountain, and to walk to the village and other bars. But the room was horrible, the outlets didnt work, none of the lamps were plugged in, the light fixtures had been stuccoed over, the room numbers were paper taped to the walls... and the staff was... […] interesting. But breakfast was good, the location is good, and its one of the cheapest hotels in old mammoth... so whatever! I'd do it again! at least now I know what I'm getting myself into! First, i go to Mammoth to ski and party in town so all I need is a clean room, breakfast and hot tub to relax the body. Staff was helpful and no problems noted. Hot tub was large and clean. I stayed in one night and watched tv for a few hours, not a lot of good channel selections, mostly home shopping network stuff. Ended up turning the tv off and reading […] a book. "Good breakfast, easy access to skiing/boarding"
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were basically satisfied; just don't expect much as far as hotel condition. Parking was adequate at the hotel's basement. Come weekend, we had to park outside at the side of the hotel. But thats okay. Room was clean, but the place was apparently being renovated. It is very outdated and everything looked […] old. Other than that, we got what we needed. The room has a fridge and microwave, so that's good. I enjoyed the breakfast coz the sausage patties were juicy! Plenty of choices, including waffles, bagels, muffins, diff types of cereal, yogurt, fruits, even oatmeal. It's pretty close to the village, where you'd take a gondola to go up to canyon lodge. It would be far to walk to it wearing ski or boarding boots, so good thing there's a bus that stops across the street from the hotel every 15 mins. There's a liquor store close by if you need something. And the little outlet plaza mammoth has is also walking distance. So overall, despite the hotel being old, we were satisfied. "No No No No, Erase quality from the name."
Hmm where should I start. Dirty bathroom, holes in wall, broken toilet, trash left in room, found clothes in bathroom. Walls were not painted, only one sink worked. Only one plug in the wall worked so I had to alternate between the TV and the fridge. The towels smelled and the coffee maker was filthy!! This place was bad!! Never again! Im not exagg […] erating. This place is currently being renovated. It is long overdue. I stayed in a room with no baseboards, paint all over the carpets and it just felt dirty. I think it will be a great place to say once renovation complete but wouldn't go now.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall comfortable, many amenities, and really good continental breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs. Our floor was being renovated, but that just means it should get better. Convenient location and well priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Low-Quality Inn! Beware!"
Hotel was in horrible condition. I paid over $150/night for hotel and was totally disappointed. Toilet didn't flush, electrical outlets were missing covers, no screen on window, shower would just stop (no water), no room number on door, paper stuck in door peep hole, carpets were covered with paint, and they didn't even change the sheets. Free breakfast […] was gross. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Main Lodge"
They said they were renovating which is probably why the entire hotel smelled funny and had trash everywhere. Room was not fully cleaned either. Looked as if they did some renovations in it and left behind debris from painting and such. Continental breakfast was decent. Location is only 5 minutes from Mammoth main lodge. If all you are looking for is […] a spot to crash for a few hours before a day on the mountain then this is a good spot. "Very Convenient Close To All"
Great Breakfast! Well stocked and attended too by a great woman! We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms (at our request) that wasn't completely done but good enough. We had brand new comfy mattresses and brand new flat screen TV. Love the underground parking and easy access to the lobby. When the renovation is completely done I'm sure it will […] be a gem of a hotel. So for now I will give it 4 stars. Got a great tip that "Whiskey Creek" has a 1/2 price happy hour from 4-5:30 everyday on great entrees and appetizers! Will stay here again next time I visit Mammoth. "Worse hotel stay ever"
I was in Mammoth to conduct a training. This was not vacation, but work. My stay here was terrible and I will never return to this hotel again, in any city. I was not informed that the hotel was going through repair when I arrived at 11:00pm friday night. my allergies immediately flared up. The halls reeked of paint, there was paint all over the carpets […] in both the halls and in the room. There were holes in the walls in the room. There was no clock. The heater did not work. After the manager looked at it and assured me it was working, I went to sleep about 1am. The heater never came on. I woke up 2 hours later freezing. The toilet took 2 flushes everytime I used it. The front desk clerk spoke little English and did not know how to operate the phone system. My wife was hung up on numerous times before she finally got through. The only good thing I can say is that the cold water heated pretty quickly. . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Family had a Great Time in Mammoth!!!"
Excellent location. Mammoth shuttle stops are conveniently located near the hotel. Village and Mammoth outlets are walking distance from the hotel. Also, our favorite restuartant, John's Pizza Works, is next door to the hotel. The parking lot is conveniently underground with excellent access to/from the room. The breakfast was filling and well kept. […] The staff were attentive and supportive. I would have rated the overall a 5. However, during our stay, the Hotel was still undergoing renovations which were not complete. All in all, a great location in Mammoth. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worse place I ever stayed"
The room was a wreck, it was stinky, and very out dated, the beds were very uncomfortable. The hall ways were dirty. There was some construction going on and it was horrible. The walls were so thin you could hear everything going on outside the room. I would never go there again or recommend this to anyone. They should name it "NO Quality Inn"Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Should have mentioned that the hotel was under construction when booking! Rooms out dated, shower pressure horrible. The man at the front desk was very friendly even though he was working an 18 hr shift and looked like he was going to fall over at any second. Free breakfast was nice and close to the free shuttle to the mountain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Areas of the motel were under construction, notably the section I was in. My room was in the process of being remodeled (?). There were pieces of tape in places where painting was taking place. Some electrical outlets did not work, and there were light switches that had no purpose. The window did not have an adequate lock. Of the positives, there was […] a fridge and microwave. "Green Hair from Hot Tub"
We came into Mammoth and there was a car parked in front of the entrance, which wouldn't be a problem, except for the snow and the fact that the car was parked there both nights. After the day outside and enjoying Mammoth Mountain, we jumped into the hot tub. When we got out of the hot tub, my girlfriend noticed her hair tips had turned green. We googled […] why this happened and found out it wasn't due to chlorine but the amount of copper in the system, which could be treated. When we reported it to the hotel manager, he said it's not the hotel's fault and she should check with her hairdresser. The only thing the hotel did to remedy the issue was to call a few beauty supply stores to see if they'd be open for us to go too. It didn't seem like anything would happen to the tub or help us out too much. The manager, the next morning, did help us back out and get out from the snow, which was very helpful. However, we won't be returning to the Quality Inn in Mammoth. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the budget minded"
For the price, this hotel is okay. What constitutes "okay"? 1) The breakfast area is spacious and the food choice is very good (waffles, muffins, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juice, fruit). 2) The beds were clean. 3) The shower was great: high flow without piercing your skin. 4) The price met our need for a clean bed at an affordable rate. If that's […] all you need, then this place will not disappoint you. If you're pickier, then the following may sour your stay: The person who checked us in was a bit curt, however, she was the only person there answering telephones and running the front desk. They have a big jacuzzi spa. When I opened the door to the spa area I did not smell chlorine, which to me is suspicious since it's a jacuzzi. No water lounging for us. The carpets are absolutely dreary both in the hallways and rooms. Do not go barefoot. The rooms smell old. Not in a bad way; they didn't stink, just not fresh. Although this hotel's listing advertises air conditioning, guest rooms are NOT air-conditioned. Staff was friendly breakfast was fine but beds were hard and old. The rug in the room was a bit dirty to walk on by evidence of my socks but when I went down the hall for a peek at the hot tub and my socks were a disgusting black. "Where's the quality in Quality Inn?"
"Quality" Inn? More like "Bad Quality" Inn. Read my worst complaints (I'll keep them brief): Dirty across the board-- bathroom, beds, floor, fixtures, etc Ryan at the front desk complained that he can't help me because he's the only one on duty at the moment. I'll have to get the extra towels myself --in this case, a pool towel that's sitting by the […] front desk Ryan at the front desk again complained about not having enough help which gave me the impression that I will have to just live with the clogged tub since I'm checking out the next day anyway. He called minutes later and said he' ll get someone over. Drain cleared after 30 minutes. Room smelled rotten. No air conditioner. Only fan. Electrical outlets are loose so the fan kept turning off. Eventually it got hot and stuffy even with the window open. Only outlet working was by the blow dryer. Ceiling was cracked and had water stains and bumps from water damage. Door doesn't close well-- must slam. Bathroom floor tiles coming off. Sheets looked and smelled like they were just fluffed instead of washed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Convenient location in Mammoth Lakes. Ryan at the desk was so helpful! Room walls are thin and a lot of hall noise. Hotel was clean and free breakfast was good also. The room (non-smoking) had a musty odor, mostly a "this place is pretty old... and campy" kind of feel. It was definitely clean though.
