Great location just off of 8th and 51stW. Very close to everything we wanted to see and visit. Hotel rooms are small but clean and do the trick. If you're planning on staying in the room often or have a ton of stuff you might want bigger rooms, but otherwise this is as good as you might expect from a hotel in this range. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were on our way home and stayed at this hotel because it was close to the airport and it provided a free shuttle. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even provided us with a morning snack as our flight left very early. The only negative was that the hotel did not have a restaurant and there did not appear to be any restaurants in the area. We had to walk to another hotel fairly close by for supper.

This being my first trip to NYC, I wasn't sure where to even begin looking for hotels. My friends and I were looking for a nice hotel, with a good price point, in a central part of town. Wow did we ever pick the right choice with the Hilton on 35th. The check in process was quick and easy, and the service was fantastic. The employee's remembered us by name for the whole weekend, and provided excellent recommendations on restaurants and shopping locations. Speaking of shopping; what a fantastic area! There was shopping in any direction, lots of food, and right next to the subway if you want to take a hop to any other areas. The room itself was nice; nothing outrageous, but very clean and large for a hotel room in NYC. We were three people and there was plenty of room for our luggage and room to move around. We would 100% go back!

"Insenstive Staff"
After my stay at the Raddison over the New Years holiday I would not reccommend this hotel to someone else. At first the stay was going great but nothing to call home about. Staff customer service was average and they did a basic job of covering our needs. However, I got sick during this trip with an Ear infection. I called the customer service desk […] at 6 a.m. in the hopes to have them direct me to an appropriate health care facility. i just needed a walk in clinic. The hotel staff did not seem to hear my concerns and asked me to call back if I needed an ambulance called. I was in pain and was very frustrated by this behavoiur. I have since learned that many hotels have medical staff present and are able to help their customers at a moments notice which would have been helpful. I found my own doctor and ended up paying $200.00 for a simple presciption for an ear infection. Prior to leaving for my appointment with the doctor I approached the staff again and they asked me again if I needed an ambulance. The woman then returned to her work at a computer and seemed to be dismissive of my issues. I was in alot of pain and the doctor said it was good that I came in when I did as flying back home would have been impossible in my given condition. I left the hotel soon after this experience to go to another hotel where we were treated very well. They quickly and sympathetically helped me feel better. I think that the posh and snobby attitude of this hotel will ruin its otherwise great location. Read more

"Great hotel"
When we arrived the hotel upgraded us and gave us a bigger room. It was within walking distance to just about everything. Only bad experience was one of the front desk staff was a little rude and not very helpful when trying to book a shuttle back to the airport.

Our first night was sleepless because we were put in a room with a creaking bed near an elevator. The next two nights were better, but not by much. It was very difficult to get another room, the staff had to be pleaded with to help and the room had an uncomfortable bed not much better than the first one albeit did not creak. The restaurants were expensive […] although there was a Starbucks off the lobby that was great. I would not stay in this hotel again unless I was desperate and you have to be desperate to stay there. Only if they are looking for a good location, Hotel Radisson Lexinton, needs an update!! The room was old, the bathroom older, no coffee maker machine in bedroom, parking was very expensive too!! I preffered Club quarters Hotel!!
"Excellent Hotel to stay"
Very happy & pleased about the Radisson Hotel excellent service specially from the front desk to the hotel restaurant Ruffles Cafe to the housekeeping...the only disappointment was when I booked the room I was told the executive room has 2 queen side beds but there is only a bed-a king size which is not a big deal-:)))

Booked this hotel online and the price was right! Was a little apprehensive about the place after reading reviews of previous customers, but upon arrival any and all negative rumours were dispelled. Room was clean and quiet, however quite warm. Without turning on the heat the inside temp of the room averaged 77F. (Outside going down to 27F at night, […] up to 40F during day.) The air-conditioner did little to cool the room and was quite noisy, enough so that it had to be turned off at night. Overall, I recommend and will stay at thie hotel again when I go to New York. "Surpassed My Expectations"
This hotel is highly UNDERRATED on this and other websites. I was very happy with my experience at the Radisson Lexington. I happen to stay there over the Labor Day week-end , which also was the US Open week-end and even though the hotel was completely booked up , when I arrived to check in I was given an upgraded room right away.... I didn't even ask […] for one ! Nora at the front desk was such a delight . She took such good care of me. Thanks again Nora , you're terrific ! I must admit that when I read some of the other reviews about this hotel , I was not expecting much for my money. BUT , whoever those people are that posted the poor reviews , I would strongly reccomend they go back to this hotel and take another look. They will quickly change their reviews and rave about the Radisson Lexington. In fact there was one review from someone who complained about how difficult it was to get any hotel staff to meet their requests, but believe me when I say that there wasn't a single time when I walked through the lobby when I wasn't approached by a hotel staff member and asked if there was anything they could do for me. They made me feel like a real VIP. And this was at a time that they were really busy with the US Open people staying there. I'm lucky enough to go to the great city of New York a couple times a year and I would be very happy to spend each visit at the Radisson Lexington. Let's hope they'll have a room available for me. "The Radisson at Lexington"
The rooms were small but clean and the beds were comfortables. The service good and the rates were right. The only issue was the parking. Close by but costly. The hotel location is at walking distance from several attractions.
Very short next time going to request a room away from elevators very noisy at night when trying to sleep

"Tub clogged, very tiny room"
The location is great and the staff was fine. The bar was insanely expensive, my roomed smelled like cigarettes, the tub was clogged and the room was exceptionally tiny.

My room was a little noisy due a broken window. They claimed to not have another room. I dealt with it. I probably won't be back.

I LOVED my PURE room, which had an air purifier in it, and had special accommodations made to make it odor and scent free. The entire room smelled so much different from any other room I've ever stayed in, and I adored it.

Every interaction with staff has been helpful, prompt, and courteous. The room was small, cozy, and neat, despite obvious signs of structural age. However, the walls are thin. "Bad Customer Service"
I've stayed here a couple of times, mostly because of price and location. However, there is always an issue. This time I stayed, the front desk clerk charged me twice for the room and when I spoke to them about they simply stated "It's okay, it will go back into your account in a couple of days." No apologies until I spoke to a manager.
"Raddisson New York - Midtown"
Good and efficient check in. Cleaning and services where ok. The Hotel situated near fifth avenue and all shopping stores. Near to Central Park. Traditional american breakfeast at nearby restaurang. (Raffles) Rather expensive for breakfeast, but good service.

The employees are great - extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant, which also provides room service, is very good. I will definitely stay here again. The only negative thing that I have to say is when I first checked in, the bathroom could have been a little cleaner... but it wasn't too bad, and after that everything was great!

Confortable and clean for the short stay. I had one problem with room service, the menu was not accurate and the food appeared too cool for being freshly prepared.
"Radisson NYC 48th & Lex"
The hotel was comfortable, clean, quiet and convenient - and the price was right. When I asked if I could check out at 1 rather than 12, they were totally fine with it. And though they didn't have a room ready for me when I arrived at 1pm, they had one at 2 - even though check-in time was officially 3. And there's even a Starbuck's in the lobby!

"Easter weekend stay in NY"
we booked 2 rooms at this hotel during Easter weekend time 2012. I was completely satisfied with the customer service I received from the doorman to the receptionist. Everything was clean and acceptable from the lobby perspective. however, once I walked into our single full size bedroom I realized how small the room was. i guess for the price i paid […] i should have expected it. I would stay at this hotel again in the future however I'll be booking a much larger room even if i have to pay a higher rate. Read more

Even with a discounted price, it was too much for an old walk-in closet size room. Could not recommend to a friend.

Rooms in New York are never a value for the price but this very samll room was far below the three and half star rating as advertised. I was given a room on the forth floor beside a hugh A/C blower which came on loadly every half hour. Since I was tired from only four hours sleep the night before and an early morning flight I went straight to bed. I […] was awaked repeatedly by the blower. Therefore, it wasn't until the next morning that I saw all the trash left by the previous lodger that hadn't been cleaned up. I also found the complementary ear plugs on the floor. Read more

This was the third time I stayed in this hotel in the last two months. It is reasonably priced for my business trips. The last two times I visited, the hotel staff "upgraded" my room. I would have liked more desk space for my laptop and printer but, the accomodations were sufficient. I chose this hotel because it was a 5 minute walk to the office where […] I met clients. This is a great hotel. The service was very considerate and upgraded my room based on their excess availability and because my room wasn't ready when I arrived to check-in, even though I arrived hours before scheduled check-in time. The quality of the room was very clean and modern. The only drawback is that the wifi is relatively expensive.

This hotel was in a neighborhood of hotels in Midtown. It is within one block of 5 other hotels, so this is a very busy tourist area in midtown. Liked: Great location; 3 blocks from 6 train, 4 blocks from Grand Central and 4,5,6 S, 7 and Metro North trains. Staff was great, room was 140 sq feet, but comfortable and you get to control the temperature […] through the thermostat, a huge plus for me. Disliked: Not much. Pretty good experience. "Slow Internet was an issue but otherwise good stay"
My colleagues and I were very satisfied with our stay for the most part but the internet hindered our ability to get some work done. A very important presentation took hours to upload. It was problematic. Otherwise, we were happy with the convenience for our meetings, cleanliness, service, sushi, and more. "Extremely RUDE - Unbelievable"
On our last day we were accosted in the hallway outside our room by two maids yelling at us saying "You are nasty people, nasty nasty. You have no respect" because there was trash on the floor in our room. It was nothing that was a big deal and our room wasn't cleaned for 4 days prior. A representative at the hotel told us that the maids could not […] be disciplined in any way because they are union workers. So I guess that means the maids can do ANYTHING. They can steal my things or be rude because since they are union workers there are no consequences. I am not comfortable in a hotel that allows employees to have no consequence for their actions. I am on the road about 90 days per year and have NEVER been treated this way in a hotel. I spoke with the general manager of the hotel and he was nice and apologized, but there is still no excuse for any hotel employee to act the way they did. Read more
