The location is excellent, just a couple of blocks from Grand Central, and there's excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and bars lining Second Ave two blocks away. But the odd complaints: incredibly, though the room was fine, there was no chest of draws for storing socks, T-shirts, underwear - whatever. There was no coffee machine in the room - a must for me. And the hotel bar was tiny with zero atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel - but with those reservations

This hotel is perfectly fine for a short visit, the rooms are clean and functional to a business chain standard, the location is convenient. It is not a destination hotel or a place for a charming weekend getaway. They know their niche, price the rooms accordingly and seem quite content with their business model.

When we got there we were surprised to learn that they don't have onsite parking (hotels.com doesn't specify that the parking is just nearby; not a part of the hotel and we had to pay an extra $35 for that, it just said that they had parking and that was also one of the reasons for us choosing the hotel; we were slightly disappointed with that) However, we were upgraded from a petite room with a double bed to a room with a queen bed and were pleasantly surprised to see that our room had a sleep number bed, it was very comfortable. Aside from the parking dilemma, it was a very enjoyable trip and I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good value, convenient to Grand Central. Lobby bar a bit pricey but hey, it's New York. Also, they automatically add a service charge at the bar and restaurant, with me they would have done better if they left the tipping to my discretion

I had a petite room, which is, well, petite. Fair price. Bathroom quite small, small bed, but comfortable. Bathroom trim damaged, chest of drawers had a drawer that would not close that opened in front of the door to the bathroom - quite interesting in the middle of the night. Could not turn off the heat and the room was too warm. Opened window, which was filthy. Room service server was quite nice, but the food was quite salty.

Great location. Staff was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. The one negative about our room was we could not adjust the heat and it got quite warm. Although we were there in April, it was a cold weekend so we were able to bear it but if it had been warmer, it would have been a real problem. Couldn't go wrong for the price.

Nice hotel, accessible by underground station nearby and within walking distance to Time Square/Broadway. We had an initial problem with check in when our room was not ready to check in at 8.15pm when we arrived!! After the first night, when we were allocated an alternative room next to the massive air conditioning units for the hotel (very noisy!), we were transferred to a lovely room on the 25th floor. The Duty manager was rather rude at first and could not understand our complaint that a pre-paid room was not available at such a late hour on our arrival, but then redeemed herself with the second room. All in all, we would return to this hotel!
