Took a mini vac for the French Quarter festival the hotel was only 2.5 miles from bourbon st. The only time I was in the room was 2 sleep the hotel was ok though. Their under renovation right now & the rate a night is cheap!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very run down no phone in the room no working icemachine hottub broke had to kick patio door to open. But with all this the staff was greatGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to attractions but..."
The hotel is okay for being old..or at least i would hope its old with the smell of place and its appearences. Its wifi wasn't really great at time and they do not have many things handy for guest such as a printer or snacks.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will be back"
The place was In a central place to where you can get to everything, I loved that the neighborhood was friendly ok. The hotel was under renovation, Slowly but surely. The service was great, happy people real welcoming and dwn2eth. I enjoyed my stay and can't wait to return and see the new look.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Aweful! Do not go to the Midtown Hotel!"
The place smelled like urine, the rooms were dirty, we walked in turned around and walked out without even putting our stuff down! The clerk at the counter didn't even offer to do anything to assist us. It was non-refundable. Horrible waste of money!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you just find a place to sleep this is not too bad but couldn't find pleasant here. When I was here, it was under construction. 10' drive to Borbon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad part of town"
This hotel is not in a good area. My family stayed at this hotel April 12, 2014. It was under renovation. The lobby was in shambles. The staff was unfriendly. The parking was limited to one very small lot and the rest was parking on the road. There is a nite club located right next door. The room had the appearance of being clean but there was a strong […] odor to it. The bathtub didn't look clean. I can only say that I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Yes, it's only 3 or so miles from the French Quarter but next time I will go with my gut and pay the extra to stay in the French Quarter area or the Garden District. I had my 11 year old with me and did not feel safe at all staying there. If I could have gotten a refund I would have and gone somewhere else to stay even if it meant staying further out of town. Recommended by a brother for an out-of-town minister. It was an awful experience for him and his wife. After stepping into the room, They turned around and went to New Orleans East to find something. $134.00 of the church funds down the drain. I wouldn't send an enemy there. They didn't even have a phone in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
I see so many comments bashing the place that I almost feel obligated to leave some positivity. This IS NOT the Hilton not even Motel 6 but I must say it served its purpose for my two night stay. In all I spent roughly 6 hours in room 202. Two showers and a nap or two and it was back to bourbon st for me. I was in town for wrestlemania 30 and lots of […] activity to keep me away from the room. If you just need to catch a quick rest or get a shower then you cant beat this place for the rate. Its a little ways from the french quarter but the public bus(39) out front gets you right to canal street or you can always catch a cab. All in All if I come back to New Orleans Midtown is not a bad stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff, but that's about it."
Sadly, the staff was the only highlight of this hotel. They were fun and friendly. Rooms were dirty, garbage wasn't changed, fridge didn't work, and a roach was found in the room. The hotel itself didn't appear to be kept up. I felt safer than expected, but the room itself was not very good. The room was cheap, and I guess I got what I paid for. It […] was a short bus ride away from downtown New Orleans, and that made it even better when I paid cheap. I warn all who think about staying here. You get what you pay for. It's up to you to decide how much room quality matters to you. Buyer beware. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel wasn't the Ritz Carlton but the staff was wonderful. Plus the location was perfect for all the events I attended that weekend. Will defiantly stay here again if the WWE has another event in New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It was great for what I needed it for. I needed to save money and be close to the French Quarter and it worked to be off of Canal StGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst hotel ever!"
This was the worst stay possible. Stained sheets, dripping ceiling, no deadbolt, dead bugs, and horrible neighborhood. If at all costs do not book and pay a little more to stay somewhere else. The front service clerk was the best part of the experience. She did what she could to help.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"On a budget traveling"
Rooms, furniture and hotel are not in the best condition but I had a comfortable stay. Rooms are sufficiently clean. Cab rides to the city are not too expensive. Overall, I was satisfied; and I saved a lot of money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I wasn't very pleased with this hotel but this was the last room left in the whole city due to a convention that was going on . Upon checkin we ended up changing rooms twice . The first room they gave us when we went to the room the door was wide open and the bed was messed up . So I'm guessing someone was already staying there . The second room we […] switched to was ok until we went out and came back to a leaking ceiling so the carpet was soaked ...so we switched again. Come the next morning we needed fresh towels and I'm guessing this hotel was low on towels because we ended up waiting 3 hrs for fresh towels . The only thing I liked about this hotel was that it was close to the area where I had to attend an event and the beds were comfortable. It was not worth the discounted rate of $80 that we paid .. I honestly felt like I should get some type of refund back . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not for the light of heart"
The area around this place is incredibly shady. You definitely don't want to be walking around at night by yourself or even with people. Just avoid it. The room smells like a 100 year old hotel that used to enforce smoking in the rooms. Even the sheets have the dingy old smell to them. You know that feeling when you spill juice or syrup and it gets […] kinda sticky? Thats how the carpet felt underneath my feet. Sheets weren't changed at all during my 5 day stay. Carpet definitely wasn't vacuumed either. The shower drain was almost completely clogged. I didnt get fresh towels for a day and a half. But, there was hot water and the lights worked and tge workers were very very nice. Its a great place to stay of your like me and really only need a place to keep your stuff in and go to sleep. Like I said, if your expecting prestine conditions, dont stay here kk? But I had a good experience. Wasnt all bad. And the hotel is very close to a bus ($3 for an all day bus pass) that takes you right by Bourbon st. That's a plus right there Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I wouldn't want to stay there again. For my room to be cleaned I found a bullet on my bed. When I left I left the same bullet on the night stand. The ice machine was broken and the receptionist on 3/11 wasn't that nice at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dangerous and extremely overpriced."
The midtown hotel was located in a very dangerous area. On one occasion the bus driver would not let us off the bus at the designated stop due to safety issues. On the second night we were there someone shot during the middle of the night across the road from the motel. We were able to hear the gunshots and the woman who was shot screaming which was […] very traumatic. The motel was essentially very dirty and grimy. The walls and carpet were obviously dirty and the shower curtain was moldy. The bathroom had no towel racks and we had to beg for towels every day. The ice machines did not work on any of the floors and we had to go downstairs for ice. There were no phones in the room so we could not call for assistance and had to use the very slow elevators to go downstairs to ask for things which like the towels we requested were often ignored. The three of us staying in the room had to split up to take our luggage up and down because we could not all fit in the elevator. We paid at least three times what this motel room was worth due to other events going on in the area. The only things we appreciated about the motel were the great water pressure in the shower, the beds were comfortable and did not have bedbugs and it was right on the bus line to downtown New Orleans so transportation was very inexpensive. went to check in and they told us our room was flooded so we had to move to a different location. Tried to make us stay in a run down motel that smelled weird and had dirty sheets. Went back to midtown and told them we refused to stay in that other place. They ended up finding us a room. It was dirty, had no vent, the floors were damp and dirty. There […] was old food particles and crust under the beds, no towels, and they shut the water off on us for 3 hours. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was ok. Was not bored. The workers was good to me. The price was little high. At least your place is cleaner than my place. If I go back to your city I will stay at your hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only down fall is that the room did not come with a microwave and refrigerator, we stayed for almost a week and had to to eat out most times due to that problem, they had an iron board that was broke, the service was great, the room was clean, everyone was friendly, just those few downfalls.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Worst hotel I ever stayed in."
Glad I had a gun with me, otherwise I couldn't have slept. I only gave "1" ratings to this place because there were no lower, nor negative numbers, available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
This hotel was a bargain, but that is the only good part. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. One room smelled like smoke and was next to the street with loud traffic noises all night and a bathroom where you would want to wear shoes in the shower. The other room had a newly remodeled bathroom. We didn't want to touch the coverlets in either room and the beds […] were hard with cheap pillows. There was a hot tub but it had cigarette butts in it. There also seemed to be some longer term residents to the hotel and some were pretty shady looking. The location is not bad- you can drive to the quarter and garden district easily, but nothing is in walking distance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Only if you are desparate !!"
This was a nice place in its day but is in disrepair and lacks infrastructure. Poor neighborhood but location gives driveable access to Tulane. Close to I-10 but is badly in need of maintenance. Doors lack beefy mechanical security device. Painfully slow internet connections that can't but it won't do a good stream low quality video—or worse. TV is […] simple cable thru an old CRT. There is a cute little kidney bean shaped pool in a courtyard in the center of this small hotel and parking is convenient behind the hotel--with video monitoring--by who?? Broken ice machines require the front desk. We were given two bath towels, but no bath mat or hand towels. There was no toilet paper roll holder--not to mention no toilet paper at all on DAY ONE--which I discovered at the worst possible time!!! If you are on a budget and it is a holiday weekend you can survive here for half of what it costs to stay anywhere else. No bed bugs--but we did witness at least one drug deal below our window. Beware of NOLA cabbies--they will take you for a ride. But DO visit NOLA to party--St. Patty's Day is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! My frat beast son and I were fine with staying there--but some people could not handle it because of the neighborhood, lack of maintenance and very sub-par amenities. Having said all that we had a GREAT TRIP. NOLA is truly unique and is a great place to party. I can not believe this hotel is on any web site. This hotel is a dive. We are a family with young children. I cannot believe we paid a hundred and forty dollars a night to stay here. "Decent hotel, needs a little work"
We enjoyed our experience overall. Helpful staff, beautiful courtyard, laid back guests. A bit disappointed at the lack of cleanliness (dirty carpet, sink handle felt greasy, doors were filthy around knobs), but the bed was comfy and had clean sheets so we were fine! Managers were great, called cabs, gave suggestions for travel and spots... but the room was AWFUL. The door to the room has a huge gap at the bottom (i could fit my foot underneath it), the toilet was broken (which made it run all night and leak all over the floor), the sheets were not clean and it was very dimly lit. There is no phone available to […] call the desk, or do not disturb sign to prevent staff from entering unannounced (which they did) and only two very thin towels to compliment the filthy shower. "Much better than expected"
We were in town for Mardi Gras so we didn't spend much time at the hotel but the time we did was pleasant. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside you could tell they are working hard to fix it up. Staff was very friendly & rooms were clean. The hotel is old and not kept up. It stunk in the hall and in the room. Best part of the whole hotel was the shower worked decent. Stains on carpet and every where you looked. Tiles coming up. "The not much choice hotel"
Hotel was much as expected, from the reviews. Made reservations in early January...nothing available for the weekend before Mardi Gras except rooms in the $500 plus range, in the "quarter".
