"Pretty at holiday time, restaurants a B+"
The property is beautiful and we loved the holiday lights - illuminated decorations, e.g. candy canes, polar bears, even Snoopy - lined the paths. The staff was also very pleasant. We ate at the three restaurants: Litchfields's (sat on the lounge side, very cozy, great food, just a little surprised I was poured a double without being asked); Red's Grill (decent food, dim lighting, a little cavernous feeling - the dining room is huge and feels empty if only a few tables are seated); the Wigwam Bar (again, decent food, but drafty and feels more like a walk-through than a cozy eatery). The fitness center needs updating - lots of equipment, but no mats or stretching area. Rooms were comfortable but in all earthtones, so felt slightly dated.

"Nice stay"
Overall it was a very nice first stay at the property. We went specifically to play golf. The courses were in good condition. Gold course is the better and more challenging. All resort staff were very knowledgeable and customer focused. Rooms were nice, clean. Bathrooms definitely need updating. The plumbing is... lacking.

"Historical landmark and excellent family resort."
Large large rooms with maybe the most comfortable bed ever. EZ friendly check in, Bellman guided me to the room (needed guidance the place is huge). Room was nicely furnished, and bathroom (although dated tile and fixtures) was very nice. Really nice patio. Free Wireless, Great TV. Starbucks coffee in room, and refrigerator as well. I do wonder if they clean the glasses though as I saw a maid cart and did not notice clean glasses on the cart. Does that mean they just rinse used glasses out and put them back. (ugh).

"Love The Wigwam!!"
A great respite for all guests! We have stayed here twice and it is our favorite place in Phoenix. The guest rooms and casitas are rustic, but beautiful, very spacious and have all the normal amenities you would expect. Terrific value. Gracious staff everywhere.

"This hotel is a landmark."

Went there for the Seahawk vs Cardinal game on December 21st.. We loved it and the kids loved it...even in the winter time plenty for kids to do...just wish we had more time to enjoy the resort. We will definitely be back!

"Always a great stay"
This is my fourth or fifth time staying at the Wigwam, and there's no place I'd rather stay in the Greater Phoenix area. The staff is FANTASTIC, the resort is beautiful with plenty of amenities, and the on-site dining is wonderful.

"Beautiful resort in a great location"
Beautiful resort with an excellent staff and great amenities. The Wigwam has a wonderful history dating back to the 1920's and has been updated to include the history and motif of the Arizona dessert. We visited during December and enjoyed Christmas decorations, programs and even a visit from Santa. A very lively place.

"Beautiful resort close to shopping and restaurants"
Originally booked 3days but had so much fun extended one more day. Grounds are beautiful, pool is huge, also have a water play pad for the little ones. A water slide as well. Reds restaurant food was delicious. Plenty of activities for the whole family. Definately will come back

"Misrepresentation"
The pictures on expedia didn't match up with the room. I also booked a king size bed on expedia and when I got to the room there were two double beds. I called the front desk requesting a correction to what I ordered. The front desk told me they were over booked and didn't have any king bed rooms available and that expedia over sold the rooms. Not happy!!

stayed one night after a Nascar Race and the only thing we didn't like was the restaurant was so far from our room. once we arrived at the Red's bar and grill the staff didn't have a clue we were there for 10 minutes and it made us just leave. Loved the room and the grounds. just lovely.

"Our get away...."
We have been looking for a place to stay several weeks at a time...near Buckeye where my sister lives for some time. She suggested trying this place. We found the persons running it very nice and very helpful. Anytime we looked confused they stepped in. We were upstairs in the 632 (I think) We were not give an option but are 80s and stairs not good. Did not realize that till we got to the room so decided not to go back and see if we could change. Room nice but no better then a lot of the better motel rooms we have stayed in...Like LaFuente in Yuma for under 100 that has nice rooms with microwave, free evening drinks, free breakfast, and beautiful pool and ground ...with friends and relatives invited to share. Wondered if some of the little buildings had kitchen facilities etc. Not really interested in golf as we live on a golf course...Anyhow we did enjoy our stay but will probably be checking out other places to stay down there...Oh my wife said would be nice if you provided more then just two glasses in the room as we did have guests and had to run over to the bar and get some. Meals were excellent.....at the Red? and bar area...as were the pools.. Overall for just a quick visit was great...for staying any length like we want to does not fit in. Would not let me send..because had no rating for neighborhood...We did not go into the neighborhood so rated in middle...Not sure why that was even there.

Difficult to find the entrance to the resort; bell staff very courteous and helpful. room was spacious but smelled un-lived in. kitchenette had no utensils, no microwave; ice bucket but where were you supposed to get ice?? close to my conference area . dining experience was awful; might as well have eaten at olive garden it was so horribly noisey for such a pricey eatery.

We wanted a WOW factor to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary but it ended with BIG disappointment. 4.5 star rating is way to high. We got rooms with old dirty & stinky carpet. Bathroom in terrible condition! dirty & moldy! Not what we expected for this class resort. Wish I could add pictures...

"Beautiful resort- mediocre service"
Booked two rooms at the same time and exact same type. One was larger with a kitchenette. How does that happen?? I called to complain and I was moved to a comparable room. The customer service for that event was very good. However, that's where it ends......the guys played golf and felt like they were "bothering" the golf course employees, the pool was awesome, but, the poolside bar closed at 5p.......not very resort like, ......after making faces, the two female employees took our drink order but we had to go to the Grill Restaurant for food. It's worth mentioning that we stayed at the Wigwam after two nights in a Tuscon hotel, where the customer service was 110%. This may be why their mediocre customer service (in comparison) stands out.

"Nice resort with average customer service"
I booked and paid for two exact rooms at the same time. My friends end up getting a much nicer room with a kitchenette......how does that happen?? After calling the front desk to complain, we were moved to a comparable room.....the customer service(Linsay) for this exchange was very good. And folks, that's where it ends. The guys played golf and felt like the employees were bothered by them being there, same thing with the pool bar. The pool bar closes at 5, which for a resort is a bit ridiculous and not very resort like. There were a lot of kids at the pool, which we expected, but about 12 of them were in the jacuzzi, not cool. The grounds were beautiful but I would not stay there again. Because we all feel that the customer service should be better for a resort.

"Litchfield Park is paradise."
We had a wonderful time in Old Litchfield Park. The Wigwam had beautiful grounds. The room itself was nice but had few outlets in the room and unless you propped open the patio door, you would be locked out. There was no slot to use your door key to access the pool so you had to walk around the building from your front door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and parking lot was very crowded with a lot of locals, which was dissappointing especially since guests had to pay the resort fees for amenities. This is a great place for families with small children. They had a lot of activities for them at the time that I visited.

"Party Hotel"
My husband and I decided to try this place to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary. We had trouble finding a parking spot every night. There were drunks/party people everywhere which left their beer bottles on the railing for 2 days we were there. They were loud and swimming in the pool until midnight. We went across the street to eat; because the hotel restaurants were full which the rest of the hotel guest flooded this restaurant to. The poor manager had to find more help; because he didn't know the Wigwam sold out on rooms. We felt we were at a 2 star hotel than a 4 star resort. This hotel/resort needs more parking spots; especially when they sell out of rooms.

I guess because of the rate for a suite, or because it was booked thru Expedia, the attitude was a little cool. My room wasn't ready at noon so I went out to play golf. It was too hot so I quit after nine holes. It's now 3:00 pm and my room still isn't ready. They said the suite wasn't guaranteed until 4:00. Rooms are clean and spacious but are a little dated. Asked for a late check-out and was declined.(who didn't know that) Oh I almost forgot, the parking for my suite was about 100 yards from the front door.

We stayed the night for our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. The lobby is spectacular and nicely decorated. Our casita was larger than most apartments! The live music in the lounge was fun and the pool was nice. We were pleased with the entire stay.

There were so many things to do at the resort: huge swimming pool, kid activities, tennis, etc. It was very close to the Wild Animal Park and Aquarium too. Staff was very friendly and helpful! My husband and I are already talking about when we can return.

"nite getaway"
The two biggest downfalls were that the room was very warm at night. It just didn't seem to cool down like most hotels. Secondly, we got out to the pool and had to wait 30 minutes for a towel. It just didn't seem like management was on top of it.

Staff at this hotel were very accommodating. Service at the bar was very slow. Room upon arrival was not ready. Had to wait until after 3pm.
