When we arrived we were quite surprised to see how big the resort was,we were greeted with friendly hellos and given water to refresh ourselves Everything at the resort was clean and well taken care of Room was very nice and big My family lives in Arizona and they too will stay for family get togethers We are looking forward to going again thank you for the opportunity for having such a wonderful time

Booked two rooms at the same time and exact same type. One was larger with a kitchenette. How does that happen?? I called to complain and I was moved to a comparable room. The customer service for that event was very good. However, that's where it ends......the guys played golf and felt like they were "bothering" the golf course employees, the pool was awesome, but, the poolside bar closed at 5p.......not very resort like, ......after making faces, the two female employees took our drink order but we had to go to the Grill Restaurant for food. It's worth mentioning that we stayed at the Wigwam after two nights in a Tuscon hotel, where the customer service was 110%. This may be why their mediocre customer service (in comparison) stands out.

I booked and paid for two exact rooms at the same time. My friends end up getting a much nicer room with a kitchenette......how does that happen?? After calling the front desk to complain, we were moved to a comparable room.....the customer service(Linsay) for this exchange was very good. And folks, that's where it ends. The guys played golf and felt like the employees were bothered by them being there, same thing with the pool bar. The pool bar closes at 5, which for a resort is a bit ridiculous and not very resort like. There were a lot of kids at the pool, which we expected, but about 12 of them were in the jacuzzi, not cool. The grounds were beautiful but I would not stay there again. Because we all feel that the customer service should be better for a resort.

We had a wonderful time in Old Litchfield Park. The Wigwam had beautiful grounds. The room itself was nice but had few outlets in the room and unless you propped open the patio door, you would be locked out. There was no slot to use your door key to access the pool so you had to walk around the building from your front door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and parking lot was very crowded with a lot of locals, which was dissappointing especially since guests had to pay the resort fees for amenities. This is a great place for families with small children. They had a lot of activities for them at the time that I visited.

My husband and I decided to try this place to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary. We had trouble finding a parking spot every night. There were drunks/party people everywhere which left their beer bottles on the railing for 2 days we were there. They were loud and swimming in the pool until midnight. We went across the street to eat; because the hotel restaurants were full which the rest of the hotel guest flooded this restaurant to. The poor manager had to find more help; because he didn't know the Wigwam sold out on rooms. We felt we were at a 2 star hotel than a 4 star resort. This hotel/resort needs more parking spots; especially when they sell out of rooms.

It is an older hotel, especially the bath and shower. Glad I had a discount. The room and bathroom were spacious, bigger than most hotel rooms. Had a little patio that was nice.

I guess because of the rate for a suite, or because it was booked thru Expedia, the attitude was a little cool. My room wasn't ready at noon so I went out to play golf. It was too hot so I quit after nine holes. It's now 3:00 pm and my room still isn't ready. They said the suite wasn't guaranteed until 4:00. Rooms are clean and spacious but are a little dated. Asked for a late check-out and was declined.(who didn't know that) Oh I almost forgot, the parking for my suite was about 100 yards from the front door.

We stayed the night for our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. The lobby is spectacular and nicely decorated. Our casita was larger than most apartments! The live music in the lounge was fun and the pool was nice. We were pleased with the entire stay.

I came to the Wigwam with a group of girl scouts. I wish we had planned more time. There were so many things to do at the resort: huge swimming pool, kid activities, tennis, etc. It was very close to the Wild Animal Park and Aquarium too. Staff was very friendly and helpful! My husband and I are already talking about when we can return.

The two biggest downfalls were that the room was very warm at night. It just didn't seem to cool down like most hotels. Secondly, we got out to the pool and had to wait 30 minutes for a towel. It just didn't seem like management was on top of it.

This hotel may be 2 star at best. The buildings have wear and tear like unrepaired water damage in hallway ceilings with drywall falling down; our room carpet was stained and the room was musty. Awnings were missing from many of the rooms. The landscape looked seedy, overgrown and untrimmed. The room key didnt work and we had to wait 20 min on the west side of the complex in 109 degrees at 4pm for someone to come. Parking is far from the rooms. The main pool had music so loud we had to carry our food across the resort to the Oasis pool. We asked for late checkout and were told that was fine. The housekeeping person came banging on the doir at 9am and woke us!! Totally would not recommend this place. The only high marks are for great service from Daniel at the main pool bar/restaurant and the man who checked us in. The extra $20 resort fee is an insult. Comfort Inn would have been far better, especially at $150 for the summer discounted fee we paid. Just awful.i really want my money back

The hotel served its purposes for our trip which was for business. I would not select this hotel for a vacation. The swimming area was for more of the partier type versus relaxation. There really weren't any good restaurants close by and the main restaurant at the hotel was closed on the days we wanted to go. The only option was to order off of the bar menu. The lack of updated internet capability in the rooms impacted our stay as well.

So much to do even in the AZ summer heat. $-5 pools, 3 golf courses, tennis, world class spa. great restaurants, awesome staff. We spent lots of time in the pools and walking around the beautifully maintained grounds (almost 500 acres) Learn the long history of The Wigwam- a Mission style resort that made us feel at home and in great comfort.

Staff was top-notch, friendly, efficient, great. Bars and restaurants were what you would expect from an upscale resort - again, staff was great, service quick, food excellent. I did have a chance to see three different rooms while there, everyone had a similar rate, but some had walk-in showers, others had a shower/tub combo. Some had a small bar area with counter for drink/food prep while others had no such feature. Not a problem, just be aware that the next time you stay, the room might be very different.

I stayed at the Wigwam July 4 - 9, 2014. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The resort has alot to offer the traveller, with 3 restaurants, 3 or 4 pools, and a day spa. Great experience. I had the best rack of lamb I've ever eaten at Litchfields. However, the resort is so big I kept getting lost.

This was our 1st time there. Our experience was amazing! The staff was kind, helpful, and always willing to accommodate our needs! We felt like we were treated exceptionally well. I do think our experience in the Wigwam restaurant was not stellar though. We tried it twice. Service was incredibly slow and the food was so-so. However, at Red's Bar and Grill, after golfing we had a wonderful experience! Great food and great service!! The golfing is absolutely stunning too! The pools were great! So beautiful! We had exceptional service there as well. THANK YOU Kayla!!!! She was a Rock Star! We would definitely stay here again. The 4th of July activities were incredibly fun! My family and I had the best time together. Our room was huge and so "home-like" meaning there was plenty of room for everyone. :-) And for those of you that enjoy Gift Shops; their shop is small but has many wonderful things and the girls that work there are genuinely kind & helpful. My first trip to the WigWam a year ago was magical...unfortunately that is where the good news for them ends this time. I booked with high expectations and felt cheated by treatment by staff and accommodations. When we first arrived, the room was awkwardly spacious for a king room and actually there were some questions for cleanliness. We were told we could go to the WigWam bar, sit anywhere and we'd be served. We waited for 15 to 20 minutes for a drink order, which didn't come for another 10 minutes. The food actually did not taste as good as I remember and the server was missing for most of our visit, as we only received one refill. We attempted to look past this and went to the pool, which was crowded with a lot of noise. In previous experience, it was more relaxing, quiet and calm. So, we wanted to take the high road and enjoy LItchfield's which online said it was open until 11 p.m. When I called to verify a reservation, the woman stated we close at 9 (it was 8:45 p.m.) and then hung up. I understand having a lot of phone calls, but a recommendation about where to go next would have been nice, or even an apology for any confusion. We played golf, which was actually really wonderful and I enjoy their golf courses. I am so disappointed in the treatment by staff and the cleanliness of our room. I would love to go back, but I don't think I can be set up for that disappointing of a trip again.

On my 2nd day at the Wigwam we left to explore Phoenix. Upon returning our door was left open by housekeeping. I have no idea how long it was open. Anyone could have strolled in the side gate and taken all of my stuff. Was very angry and called the front desk and they didn't seem very concerned. Have had better service at a fraction of the cost. Ridiculous.

Our room was ultra-comfortable and cool and clean...the linens were fabulously soft, and the pillows a delight. The pools were beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly. We enjoyed two days at the spa, which was also very beautiful and filled with lovely friendly people. My only complaint was that food was so expensive: $2.15 for a plain cup of coffee...a piece of crumb cake for $3.50, and humus and veggies cost $13.00. We had to eat off-premises to keep within our budget...but otherwise, we LOVED it here!

This hotel is spread out with lots of open green spaces. Great pool with a slide. They have ping pong tables, bicycles you can rent, fabulous restaurant on site. Rooms are huge. Only draw back is beds are old and you slide to the middle. Bathrooms could be cleaner. We have been here twice already and will definitely go back.

The hotel itself was very nice, we had stayed there before and really liked it. The staff at the front desk was rather rude when we checked in. We had reserved 2 rooms, one with 2 queen beds. We we arrived we were told that the 2 queen beds were simply a request and not a guarantee, and that they were not able to accommodate us without charging to upgrade the room. We asked for a cot and they said they had none available.

Grounds at the Wigwam was nice, customer service was excellent! They let us check in early and let us check out late. The negatives were, the air conditioning didn't work well in 104 degree weather and my son found a roach in the pool.

My siblings and I treated my parents to a 3 day getaway for their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed champagne and strawberries upon arrival, a couples massage and dinner at Litchfields Steakhouse. They had such an amazing time they stayed an extra night. The funny thing is that they are locals but loved it so much they want to go back again for fun some other time. Thank Wig Wam for giving them a memorable weekend.

Our stay was absolutely stupendous. The housekeeper was great. I really appreciated the security. The beds were extremely comfortable. I am old and when my daughter and I went into the pool the children automatically moved to the sides so to leave us room to wade. This was my second time at Wig Wam and I cry when I think of the patience, the care, the understanding you all have, oh and the breakfast the family had on Mother's Day was lovely. Thank you. My wife always insists that we stay at the Wigwam whenever we are in the Phoenix area. It is very serene here and far removed from the noise (and most of the traffic) of downtown Phoenix. It is in a quiet suburb West of downtown and is very close to several unique restaurants. The resort has recently undergone a significant renovation and the pool and outdoor area are especially nice. As usual, I would appreciate if Hotels.com would make it known if a property charges a "resort fee." Why not just add it to the price?

This was the BEST conference hotel I have ever stayed in. It is on the historic register because the resort is over 100 years old, but you wouldn't know it by how well kept the property is. I was thoroughly impressed. They have the best hotel pool, water park, and spa area around. For cheap family entertainment while you are on business, this is the place for sure.
