DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront - Indialantic

After extensive researching of hotels along the coastline, we chose this hotel based on location, price range & ratings, for my family to stay at for a weekend during our Florida vacation. The location couldn't be better. There's absolutely no doubt about that. The hotel staff were also very friendly & helpful, from the front desk clerks & waitresses […] to the maintenance staff who offered to fill our cooler up with one rather than tell us where the ice machine was, which I thought was very nice. The rooms, however, were a bit disappointing. They had been updated, but the sofa had stains on it, there was accumulative hair & dirt on the edges of the tiled floor, which indicates they aren't cleaned very well & I ended up wiping down the toilet & counter around the sink with disinfecting wipes as they didnt appear to very clean. The outdoor pool, hot tub & bar were very nice. All around it would be a really nice place if they put more effort into the cleanliness of the rooms. Read more

We stayed at this hotel for one week, me and my husband and 3 kids. First the check in didn't even took 5 minutes. The hotel manager Carlos helped us carry our luggage himself into the room. The room had 2 twin beds and a pullout sofa, 2 tvs and a wall divider between both rooms. The view was to die for from the balcony. Oceanfront beautiful. The pool […] was very big and food awesome. Service was outstanding. We were so sad to leave, but we will be back. My kids had a blast. The last day we saw 4 dolphins from our balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A very comfortable hotel where all the rooms are beachfront. Access to the beach is easy and the restaurant has an exceptional penne pasta dish. Employees are first rate and very helpful. I will definitely stay again.

Very nice location and beautiful ocean view in every room. Was nice to fall asleep with the sound of the ocean each night. Rooms and hotel do need some updating, still good value for the money. Breakfast buffet was pretty good too.

Flew down to see my little brother graduate...room provided an excellent 'base of operations' for us all, with the suite space providing ample room to gather up for a movie or a board game and the beach literally a stones throw away. Clean space, friendly staff, nice grounds.

We are disappointed with the hotel. Upon checking in, we were told their phones did not work and to use our cell phones if we needed anything. they hoped to have them working with the next couple of days. Our first room the sliding door did not function and the shower curtain was covered with mold. I went to the front desk to complain. First the lady […] told me that they would look at the door, but it was probably just the fact that it is a hurricane door. She also offered to change the shower curtain. I requested a new room. She assigned us a new room but as I went to check it out before moving my family's belongings there were two ladies walking out of it. I proceeded back down to the front desk to tell her. She acted like I was crazy. Fortunetly the ladies were checking out and standing behind me. After trying to figure out what went wrong I finally got another room. Amazingly the sliding door worked just fine and there was no mold this time. Although the one light above the sink did not work. Also during our stay we had the need to use the business center. Their printer was broke so we had to use a computer at the front desk to conduct our business. The next time we visit the area we will not stay at the DoubleTree. Read more

The hotel was very nice. The front desk had delicious, warm cookies every day for their guests. The only thing that could be better was their housekeeping schedule. We stayed 6 nights and one night they never even cleaned our room until 8:00 pm when we complained at the front desk. All in all, I would stay there again.

The hotel had a graduation party going on from the local college and they were out of hand!!! Up most of the night with the yelling and screaming of the new adults to the world. The staff did not quiet them down so that the paying customers could enjoy their stay. The Hotel had a nice suite setup, but the shower/Bath area was very dark and gave you the feeling of a old/damp condition. We also had one day where they had to shut down the entire AC for service/repair. When we returned to our room that evening, we had no AC. I know special requests are not guaranteed however I asked for a higher level floor and I was there an hour prior to check in just to make sure I could get this and they give me 1st floor. I again ask for higher I had to wait until 530pm just to get 3rd floor. Only to hear them check people in as late as midnight into rooms on the 5th floor. I think […] it's crazy. The hotel itself was fine. The hotel was well-kept. The comfort of the room was nice; the door between the bedroom, bath, and living room was nice. All of the rooms are ocean-front. The walls were paper thin. You could easily hear the tv next door and the arguments in the next room.

I had an oceanside room and it was absolutely wonderful. The Front desk, F/B and management staff were very courteous. The shuttle service was a great plus. I was not pleased with the shower in my room. The grout was in need of serious cleaning. I left a tip for my housekeeper the first night I stayed. I intended to do so each night. Beautiful view of ocean from balcony, restaurant was great, shuttle available to run you to wherever, we went to Walmart, Lous Blues Club, shopping is a good mile walk away. The view above the 3rd floor is terrific as all the rooms look out on the ocean. The rooms are a little small for a suite, but it was nice to have two rooms in the suite as my wife is a late night person and I'm an early morning person. I would definately go back and recommend it to others.

Everything was pretty good. It's an older hotel that has been updated. Reminds me of the 70's a bit,but was clean and the staff was good. Some relatively minor complaints. The bar is tiny and could use an update. (the bartender , to be fair , was very good about info on local restaurants and bars) My room key (card) needed to be changed 3 times as it […] kept failing to open the door to my room. There is nothing walkable in terms of restaurants or bars. They have a guy with a leaf blower out every morning blowing off the walkways which are not exactly in need of it and the noise at 8am is obnoxious...but the price was good and overall a very good value.
