Nice hotel for the price and location. Rooms were worn but well kept, clean and comfortable. Lobby was nice, staff was accommodating, and place appeared... clean. Walls were a bit thin and there were some noisy children running around but it was just during one of the 3 nights we were there. Will stay at again for the convenience and price! Bathrooms had spiderwebs coffee pot was rusted and there were bugs in the room, I will never stay there again I hated it. I felt dirty the whole time there.

It seems like this hotel needs a make over. It's old and musty smelling. My first room was a smokers room and it sure smelled like smoke. I had to plead for another room. The second room was better, but it was musty covered by air freshner. For the price they charged, it was not a good value at all.

Chalmette is a short drive to French Quarter and Central Business District without the high city prices. The best by far was the very excellent line kitchen and the wonderful staff there. The hotel is pretty run down, but shows an attempt to keep it up. I felt it was clean. We had a few occasions when we needed help and the front desk was either absent or unhelpful. My friend became trapped in her room when the lock on her door stuck. The desk clerk told her there wasn't anything she could do to help. My friend demanded a screw driver […] so she could take the lock off. The desk clerk then sent a maintenance man who was very capable and handled everything quickly. They clear out the hotel keys every day at noon (they told us when we checked out), which meant we had to go to the desk at night to have the keys recoded. At that time the clerk lied and said we probably had our keys next to a cell phone or something that erased it. The hotel location is very good. They have a nice little beach that looks at a small marina. They also have a nice pool and are close to Pensecola Beach and Navarre. We never ate at their restaurant but others said it was good. I would stay there again for a few nights. For a longer stay, I would like to have something a little nicer. Read more

The staff was very friendly and exceedingly helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. would definitively stay here again. The only thing against it is if you are planning on spending a lot of time in the French Quarter it's a bit far out.

We had an overall general feeling that the place was NOT as clean as it could be. It was OK for what we used it for (overnight stay while fishing), but, I certainly would NOT recommend this motel to anyone. I do not want to be TOO hard on them because the staff was more than helpful.........they could spend a little more for cleaning........

Hotel was suppose to have non-smoking rooms. We were told our room was non-smoking but had stench of cigarette oder and even a couple of ashtrays in the room. Others in line ahead of me were complaining about the same, but the management could not do anything about it.
