"Ramada Toledo Conference Center"
We chose this hotel because the price was right and it was convenient to where we needed to be. If you were going there for a conference or wedding I imagine it would be wonderful - however the rooms are lacking in many ways. They have signs stating there is renovation going on, although we saw no evidence of work, just peeling wallpaper, worn and disgusting […] carpets etc. The first room we were given was on the first floor and we could hear the conversation of the couple in the next room WORD for WORD, along with their music. We asked to be moved and were accommodated after being told that all first floor rooms would be "the same" The room we were being moved to would have a microwave and minifridge we were told. What we had was the space for them, but neither in the room. The towels were frayed, there were stains in the tub. For what we paid per night I think we should be able to expect a clean room with walls that were not paper thin. We'd never stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good hotel to stay in"
this hotel is good and everything in it is good i like it and i recommend my friend to live inGenuine Expedia guest review
"Loved the staff, flexible check-in/out timing"
The staff was VERY friendly. The room were very-clean, not super clean. It was like couple year old room, not like the feeling of brand new room as in Westin or such hotels. BUT the staff was super friendly, helpful and flexible with my check-in time and checkout time. I checked into room at 11am, (and they said I could have checked in even at 9am. […] :) ) Checked out at 1am without giving them advanced notice about late checkout. Really liked that they were flexible with such things... Standard, two sets of 5 towels and decent/good level of small toiletries. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"DO NOT STAY AT THIS CREEPY HOTEL"
This place is so weird uncomfortable and dingy! Its not even that its old, it's dark and scary and creepy!Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed here because it was hosting my sister-in-law's wedding reception, so it was convenient. Although the bedding was comfortable, and the service was fast and friendly, the walls were paper thin, the tub drain was incredibly slow and we went through two non-working remotes for the television. I would NOT stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Conveniently located to our destination and several restaurants. The walls were a little thin though (noise). The bed was comfy and the front desk was friendly. A great place for a single nights stay which was what we were looking for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Hotel Ramada in Toledo"
The water had to be ran for several minutes in order to get warm or hot in order to take a shower. When we turned the air or fan on in the room it had a odor in which was barely tolerable. The overall room quality was poor, we picked the hotel for being able to use the pool area in which shut down for 2 hours in the afternoon for a wedding in which […] we were not aware of and having two small children who wanted to swim was alittle furstrating to say the least. Room was clean. Location to Toledo U was great. One elevated that only held 6 people for three floors was a little inconvenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location but has seen better days"
Hotel is in a good location but the condition of the elevators and carpets in the hallways needs updating. The room was clean but again updating is in serious need. Old carpet, holes in the blankets and out of date TV. Not worth the price regardless of the location. Next time I will stay 2 miles west of the Ramada in any number of newer and updated […] hotels. Wonderful staff, clean room, comfy bed. Old TV, loud AC unit, poor water pressure in bath/shower. My room was apparently updated recently. But would not know it by tv and shower fixtures and doors. They were replacing ac units all week on my floor. Complimentary breakfast ok, but took longer than anticipated. Asked front desk to have a burned out bulb replaced, never did during 4 night stay. Guess I should have asked a second time.
"Where's the WIFI"

WIFI was advertised to be available in all rooms. My room was on the 3rd floor and there was no WIFI. I called the provider and learned their were insuficient anteneas at the facility. The hotel staff, was ordering more I was tolod by the front desk. But...when I spoke to a maintence man who was on the 3rd floor, he told me there has never been WIFI on 3. The hotel mgr. offered to move me to another room. Had I known that I may have considered it. But I was in a handicapped room and no one said if I got moved it would be to a handicapped room. The message I got was that the hotel had ordered more antenas and the problem would remided quickly. It never was and I didn't appreciate it. Lying is a poor business practice.
"great service, greater meals!"

We held a conference here for 145 participants. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and the banquet meals they provided were absolutely great!
"Weekend at Toledo Ramada"
08/27/14 David Z Toledo
This particular hotel has seen better days. Carpeting in hallways soiled and hallway had a lived-in odor. We wanted to be closer to the ballroom where our function was going to be so they moved us from the second floor room that was a good distance away to a first floor room that was closer. We attended the Ohio AA Roundup. I have been in excellent suites in Las Vegas, and I have been in suites I would have rated poor in out of the way places in W. Virginia. This was a nice Ramada, but it was showing signs of wear. The wallpaper was peeling at the seams, and amenities were scarce compared to newer hotels. For instance, no room safe, room could have been bigger, etc. Carpeting was showing signs of wear in most hallways. These kinds of things don't bother me, the room was clean, etc. What I found most wonderful was the staff. They were excellent. They made the minor inconveniences just that....minor. The bedding seemed clean, I say seemed, only because of all the horror reports you see on TV these days. I have never been to a hotel that made me ill, so enough said. 6 stars to the staff. Front desk, banquet people, security....all super nice. That is what makes a visit to me.
"Poor to Average"

When booking I was informed the room had a sofa pull-out thus could sleep 3 adults. Upon arrival in room there was no sofa - I requested a roll-a-way, which I was charged an additional $15. Also, did not receive same rate as other's attending the wedding event.

I was here for a conference. The rooms are a little outdated, but the staff was friendly and the banquet food was better than I've ever had at a hotel.
"August 2014 stay in Toledo"
08/26/14 David D Columbus
Restaurant experience was outstanding. Tasty, hot breakfast served to our table, not a buffet. Denise the waitress was wonderful! Housekeeping could stand a little improvement, as we were given no towels or soap at all one day and had to ask the front desk to have them delivered to our room at night when we returned. Overall, however, this hotel is a good value, and the location was perfect for our activities.

First we where required a $250 deposit. No toilet paper in lobby stalls. Then get to the room and the tv was an old school big black box. HBO or other extended cable channels not available. Tub took forever to drain. Also killed silverfish in bathroom. The bed was a very old firm mattress. Internet was down the whole first night but was up and running the next two days :(

The carpet in the entire hotel was dirty including the room. There were also carpet bunches as if the room flooded. There was a dark and mustyt smell to the rooms and the bed spreads were also dingy. The bathroom was horrible you cannot close the bathroom door without it rubbing against the toilet... Which made it difficult any time utilizing restroom or shower
"Very good stay!"

Actually I stayed at this hotel twice within the period of a week and a bit. The first time with my son's baseball team (3 nights) and the second time as an overnight stop. This is a fair size hotel that must have been in it's glory in the lat 70's early 80's . Having said that the hotel was still very good for what we needed. Rooms were OK but a little on the small size. One complaint about the room my lids had was that on our first stay the TV in the room was old and they were not able to hook up their play-station. On our second stay we had a room with a new TV that was mounted to the wall but we were only staying the night. It seems there are some room that have been updated. The staff especially the front desk staff were very nice and accommodating especially when we were in a large group during the evening looking for a place congregate and socialize. The breakfast was OK and nothing better then OK one (small) step up from hospital food. There was one very nice staff working the breakfast who really seemed to care about the guests and that was nice. The hotel is also located next to a small park with BBQ's and benches should you wish to indulge. If I could make one suggestion tone down the strawberry deodorant being used in the stairways. I used the stairways often because the elevators are slow. The stairways were hot, the heat combined with the deodorant made the experience nauseating. However all of the negative things were outweighed by the good things and I would stay here again.
