The hotel was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Everything was clean. The view from the balcony can't be beat!! We loved everything about it!

Absolutely flawless hotel experience. Great customer service, pampering, etc. Has sort of an urban flair and feel to it, so if you prefer a more "natural environment" may not be for you. It was wonderful. We watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks show from the display area one night. Transportation is great with the tram. We took the tram to transportation central once and took the boat to Magic Kingdom, my daughter and I enjoyed that. The staff was great and friendly. Great place and we will stay there next time.

Great hotel, very convenient to THE MAGIC KINGDON. Super expensive, and I am not sure the convenience is worth the high price. We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms as opposed to the main tower, and it was a loooong walk from the main lobby, restaurants, and monorail. I didn't realize how far this room was when I booked the reservation, it would have […] been better to stay in the main tower. The best part was that with small children, it was easy to take a quick break from The Magic Kingdom, and hop on the monorail to cool off and relax at the pool for a few hours. Read more

This is a great hotel with the amenties offered and the convenience to the Disney parks. The biggest downside to our stay was the noise level. We were on the 9th floor and could still hear the Chef Mickeys celebrations past 11 at night and they start again at 7 in the morning. I would request a room far from that end of the tower in the future.

We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the hotel was. Our room was in the garden side and quite a long walk but was very quiet and modern. You have to walk outside to get there, which gave us the opportunity to checkout the weather each morning on our way to breakfast. Service is terrible. Took 4 hours to get my room after checking in and my wife and I checked in at a time that was not busy at all. Guaranteed check in by 3pm turned out to be 5pm. Vending machines eat your money and we had to tell hotel a number of times to put an out of order sign on it. Everyone was losing their 3 dollars when trying to buy a coke. […] They didn't want to bring us a new coke, but instead, said we should come to the front desk and they would give us 3 dollars. People at front desk are always different so if you have a situation, you have to re-explain everything again and again and hope the new person understands. Room was dusty but clean other than that. Location is great. We could see the nightly fireworks and light shows on the water easily not just from our balcony, but from our bed too. Without this, overall rating would have been very negative. Convenient hotel with monorail going through it. Elevators are so slow and sometimes you have to wait a few different elevators before getting in. And like I said, this was the offseason! Overall, for the money, probably not worth it. Grand Floridian was so much nicer...the best! I also loved Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk area. So cool! People staying at the Contemporary were pushy and rude for the most part. No manners and selfish. Contemporary is expensive, so for the money, just stay somewhere else. Read more

We just returned from the most amazing Disney vacation! I remember staying at the Contemporary as a child and was so excited to give my children their own wonderful memories of the best family vacation ever. The monorail is so convenient with small children, when returning from the park with tired kids the Contemporary is the first stop on the way so […] you hop on and are at your hotel in minutes! While it is more costly to stay at a Deluxe Disney Resort, for your first time I would highly recommend it. Also, there are a few places that will deliver groceries to your hotel and the bell stand will refrigerate them until your arrival. I ordered groceries the week to arrive the same day we did and took bowls, spoons, cups and we were able to eat in our room, save time and money and be out the door in no time. Read more

Very convenient to Magic Kingdom, Monorail to Epcot. Should be more Disney-like Contemporary and less business room decor. Hated the sinks - too big and no bathroom counter space except low shelf. I hadn't stayed in the Contemporary since I was a kid myself. We stayed in the new garden wing and I was very happy with the size of the room, the comfort of the beds and the layout. This was our first time staying at a Disney resort and we found the whole experience to be very pleasant and satisfying. The Contemporary is a very friendly, clean and modern resort. The staff were always helpful and we couldn't believe how organized our arrival and departures were! Great location as we were able to just walk from the Magic Kingdom […] and skip the crowded buses at the end of the evening. The monorail going throught the hotel was an added bonus. We bought refillable cups and thought that was a great value...the food in the Contempo Cafe was average but much better than some places in the Parks. We booked a last minute Disney weekend for a three night stay at Disney's Contemporary in what was supposed to be the garden wing. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival that "Tinkerbell" had upgraded us to the club level which was in the tower on the top floor. We had key card only access to our floor, free continental breakfast, snacks and beverages […] all day and happy hour in our lounge on the floor. It was a nice treat. My only complaint about the room was the wonderful Florida water that smells like sulphur. ( I have stayed at other resorts in Orlando that filter the water.) Additionally, the shower head was covered in lime-scale. Other than that everything was great! Our room was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel based on convenience alone. You definitely can't beat jumping on the monorail and being at the parks in less than 10 minutes! I will definitely be staying again! Read more

The hotel itself was nice. I wasn't amazed by any means, but it was clean and newer looking. The reason I rated the hotel low, which is probably no fault of the hotel itself, was due to the system being down for almost 2 days straight. I landed in Orlando at 10:30am and got to the hotel at 11:30am. The system was down and there was no way to check me […] in. I wasn't allowed into a room or see my bags until 7:00pm when I came back from the park. The call I was promised when the systems came back up never happened. The following day, I wanted to bypass the lines at the park and purchase tickets in my hotel (one of the benfits of staying in a Disney Resort), but the system was down again. Again the hotel doesn't control system outages. Coming from a Technology back ground I know they are a necessary evil, however an operation like Disnet resorts should have a manual way to check in guest to a room. They have photocopy machines and paper, all you need to get the guest information. Read more

We were very excited for this Disney trip to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday and my parents' milestone anniversary, but we won't return to this resort. The quality of customer service from the front desk staff at this resort was dismal. Not only did it take them 45 minutes to check us in, the staff lost our park entry tickets, (resulting in another […] wasted 45 minutes at the Magic Kingdom will call window in 95F heat with a small child to sort out matters that were even further complicated by the uncooperative resort staff), the front desk mixed up our room reservations, our names, and did not apologize for any of the hassle. Great experience. Check in was easy and fast, everyone was super friendly and looking to help when needed. Need twice as many chairs for the evening outside movies. Need more loungers at the pool. The existing loungers are older and some were ripped. Lifeguards great and had to jump in daily to help little kids. Hire a pool attendant to watch when families […] leave and pick up towels so new families can use the chairs. Check out was a bit of a problem since the hotel did not have a record of our departure flight and all of the family members names, although we had registered on line through Disney's website with all of the information. For being advertised as Class Hotel not impressed.with this particular one. Would not spend the money again on this. People were great that worked their but did feel the room could have been cleaner, especially bathroom. The carpet was stained. Was just not overly impressed.
