"Port Orleans Riverside"
The rooms and the grounds at Port Orleans Riverside were beautiful, charming and well maintained. We stayed in the Royal Guest rooms and the only downside was the rooms were very small. We didn't spend much time in our room but when we were there to shower and rest we felt crammed. The property itself is large so expect long lines/waits at all the theme […] park bus stops coming back to the hotel from the parks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautifully themed retreat from parks"
6 night stay in the "mansion" section, staff was very friendly, nice pools, my 2 year old loved the playground, pleasant boat ride to Downtown Disney,Genuine Expedia guest review
Good choice for a moderate resort. I liked the fact that we had the option of taking a ferry to downtown Disney; we used that most days. We were in building 16 which was pretty close to the lobby area. This resort is very big and some buildings are quite a walk from the lobby and restaurants. The room had kind of a rustic look, nothing fancy, small […] bathroom with sink area outside tub area. Housekeeping service was a little sketchy some days, but at least the beds were made. We only dined in the restaurant once and it was very good, do make a reservation. We had a light breakfast in the food court each day, I liked the chocolate croissant. They have a large general store that sells much of the Disney merchandise you see at the park stores as well as food items for snacks in the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not my favorite Disney hotel."
The hotel grounds are massive so plan on speed walking all the time or giving yourself plenty of time to get around. Also be prepared to dodge around and weave in between morbidly obese people on scooters. They are EVERYWHERE and it gets super annoying. Do not use the Magic Bands. They do not work properly yet and caused me a lot of stress and too many […] headaches for vacation. When I made my reservations, I booked two rooms and requested that they be joining. Upon arrival I was told that my request confused them, but they never bothered to call me and ask questions. What's confusing about booking two rooms and having them be joining? Seems about as simple as it can get. Anyway, my mother was not anywhere near my room. We were in the Alligator Bayou section and she was in one of the mansion homes. Our room did not have a refrigerator as promised, the TV was broken, the air vents were extremely dusty, there was food stuck to one of our chairs, and the bedspread had a small stain on it. "Disney truly is magical!"
The grounds were beautiful, the room was immaculate and the atmosphere exactly what you would expect from a Disney Resort. However, I was not pleased with level of friendliness of the staff. Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone going on a Disney World vacation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel has no elevators"
We stayed at the Port Orlenes Riverside Hotel for a week. The rooms were very small, dirty and dark. There was hardley any storage for clothes! Hotel was way too big and very much sprawled out. It took us 10 minutes to walk to the lobby for food, transportation ect. Add that up three times a day for a week its alot of walking on top of the walking in […] the parks. There were four bus stops at the resort. If your room wasn't close to the first or second stop you didn't get a seat on the bus. With small children this was not the best way to travel. WE HAD NO ELEVATORS!!! Our building had no elevators (only a select few do)!! With two strollers and two young children this was a huge problem. The pool area was ok but the perimeter had a concrete step leading into the pool which was dangerous for little kids. Long lines in the cafeteria. If you wanted a coffee you had to wait in a huge line. The food was less the acceptable. The kids hardley had any healthy options. High chairs were dirty and gross. We just returned from a quick trip to Orlando to visit Epcot and Disneyworld. We decided to stay at a moderate level Disney hotel and picked the Port of Orleans Riverside. We loved every second. The hotel it beautiful and the staff are very gracious. We stayed in a Magnolia Room, Princess Tiana themed. The room was very spacious, the beds were very […] comfortable and the bathroom with double sinks was perfect. We dined at the food court for breakfast on 2 of the mornings and enjoyed the Mickey waffles as well as the cinnamon roll. On the 3rd morning we walked over to the Port of Orleans French Quarter and had a similar breakfast there but were able to purchase beignets as well. The waffles were great but the beignets could use some work. They were hollow inside but tasty. We took the boat to Downtown Disney on our first night and it was really wonderful. We took the conveniently located buses to both Disney and Epcot and found it to be easy and very helpful. We did not want to leave but we will definitely be back. "Overpriced and limited"
Bad experience at checkin, waited over an hour in line only to be told that I'd have to wait several hours for available room. Front desk staff not very nice. Bus rides to/from attractions were brutal - 45 min waits, full buses. Location a bit isolated, only one restaurant and central pool overcrowded. Remote pools better. Rooms a step up from a Holiday […] Inn, clean but limited. With the exception of housekeeping and the curbside staff, most employees were pretty miserable (have to believe it was the chaotic lobby/checkin). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disney Does It Right"
Many years ago we had a wonderful experience staying at Disney's Dixie Landings which is now Port Orleans Riverside. From that initial experience we had no trouble deciding which resort we wanted to stay at on this much belated return to Disney. Although the name has changed the relaxing atmosphere remains untouched. The walk from our room to the dining […] hall was always a pleasant trip and our path took us past the poolside bar and patio where we found ourselves spending several afternoons. You would never guess that the complex itself is very large - the rooms are very quiet as are the grounds and walking paths, and transportation to/from parks is readily available and easy to use. We're already planning our next visit back to Riverside, this time without so many many years in between! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, polite, and my children were very happy"
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly, my children were happy, and the room was clean. My daughter loved the character towel shapes at the end of the bed. I would stay again. I am a pretty picky person when it comes to hotels. I do not like to spend my life savings, but I won't stay in an unclean place either. The swimming pool was great also. […] There was a playground near the pool and they had movie nights also. Lots of kid interaction near the pool (games, quizes, etc). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

[…] Also they had rapid refill n we bought 4 at 14.99 a cup and they obviously purposely shut down soda dispensers and was told could get drinks til 1am! Get there at 8pm n dispensers shutdown only leaving 1 for all to use n only 3 kinds to pick from others were out! "Nice hotel near all Disney parks"
We had a good experience overall at the Riverside. Upon checking in, the staff was terrific and we were very pleased with how smoothly everything went to get to our room, etc. Our only gripe was one day our room was not cleaned. We returned from a long day at the parks. We all wanted showers, etc and we had no clean towels. We called to let housekeeping […] know, left our room for another hour in hopes that the room would be ready by the time we returned and they still had not arrived with the towels. This was very frustrating as our 3 year old daughter was exhausted and we wanted to get her cleaned up and put to bed. Other than this, our stay was really nice. "Okay, but not "magical"."
The ceiling fan had cobwebs and dust on it. We called mousekeeping to have it cleaned. After waiting about 30 minutes (we were tired!), my husband cleaned it so we could turn it on and go to sleep. The room furnishings were tacky. Our building was very close to a parking lot, but there was not a sidewalk directly to the building, so you had to cut through […] bushes or take a very long walk on the sidewalk. "Great time, great hotel!"
What's not to love about Disney, but this time was better. The staff seems to have improved. I've never had a better experience at a Disney hotel. I don't know if it was just at the Port Orleans Riverside or Disney overall, but the staff seemed more helpful. We asked to have our rooms, we had two, moved closer together and we were moved next door to […] each other. The rooms were clean and the personnel friendly. We've visited Disney almost every year for 30 years and the staff was the best ever this time. It was one of my better experiences. The transportation system was great too from beginning to end. Amenities, Food Court, and resort was nice. We were very disappointed int he condition of the room. Refrigerator was broke. Showers were filthy. Room keys did not work after a couple days. And size of the room was campy. We also book a king size and received 2 queens.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
almost perfect. the cafeteria was over crowded between the hours of 8:30-10:30 and due to the number of patrons the service was effected. also, kids meal selection is very limited but the food is good. Boatwright's is a better choice for dinner, great food and v. good service. it's worth the extra.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for $ with nice amenities/friendly staff"
This hotel, on the Disney Property, was a really nice value for the price. Rooms were nicely appointed and beds quite comfortable. We went at a slower time, and were upgraded to a royal room - nice perk! The check-in process was effortless - we did on-line check-in and our room was waiting for us when we got there. It literally took less than 5 minutes […] to check-in - something very much appreciated after the trip down! The property is quite spread out, but is nicely maintained. Despite the large number of rooms on the property, there was very little noise from others when we were inside of our room. Buses ran pretty smoothly - we never waited more than 30 minutes and usually about 15 for a bus mostly from the south depot. The staff was friendly and attentive. Body lotion was not a "stocked" item in the rooms, but when I called it was brought in less than 5 minutes. The same when we requested extra towels. The front desk and concierge were very helpful with any requests. My one complaint was that they are in the process of replacing all of the room refrigerators for a manufacturer's issue. They did make their larger refrigerators nearly the lobby available to all guests, though, if needed. We had brought an insulated cooler bag and were able to get by without during our stay. We did NOT do the Disney dining plan. Food was reasonably priced at the resort, as compared to the parks. Good pizza :)! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"This was our first time stay at a Disney Resort."
Port Orleans was an excellent hotel. The staff was friendly; the rooms were very nice; the pool area was great for both kids and adults. Food at the food court was very good but a bit pricey and nothing is included in the price of the room. The only glitch we had was related to their computer system which just couldn't keep us straight. We had 6 adults […] and 1 child in 3 rooms and I booked and paid for all 3. For some reason that fact messed them up. Especially at Disney where there are regularly groups of people, I would think this shouldn't cause a problem. My son's reservation was particularly messed up and he spent quite a bit of time getting a valid room key. On the plus side, they gave him a $100 credit for his time. Also, the resort is quite large and I had requested a central location before we went and were given a perfect spot! We were very happy that we could walk to the pool, the lobby, the bus and the food court within 2-3 minutes. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very happy! Especially for the price."
I really enjoyed our 3 night stay there. Room was clean, themed, and had everything we wanted (coffee maker, fridge, comfy beds). The property had lots to offer - great food, fun activities (playground, many pools, horse cariages, fishing), gift shops, and I am sure even more that we missed. Also there is great transportation options with the bus service […] and the boat that travels to the french quarter and downtown disney. Only complaint is that the toilet paper in the hotel is the cheapest possible. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for adding some relaxation to a Disney trip"
Great location if you will actually be spending any time at your hotel, rather than at the parks. Only issue was no mini-fridge in room, but apparently there was a Disney-wide recall on certain models of fridges, so this shouldn't be the norm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff are very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was too small with little room to utilize comfortably. The shuttle services around the area were great, the shuttle drivers were all very friendly and professional making the rides to and from activities a joyride.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun, clean, convenient, & supprisingly affordable."
The title says it all. Honestly no complaints. It would be awesome if the onsite ferry took you to one of the theme parks instead of just to Downtown Disney (which is pretty lame now that they ruined Pleasure Island), but logisitically it's seems impossible. Still a very nice ferry ride.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is our second time at Port Orleans RIverside and we LOVE it. The staff are VERY accomodating and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Grounds are nicely landscaped and beautiful. We did not have time to try the pool as we spent most of the time in the parks, but it looked like everyone was having a great time there and had a lot of staff […] there for safety and to proivde games and entertainment. There is a boat next door that can take you to Downtown Disney which is convenient. All buildings have easy access to a bus stop to all the parks. We didn't wait very long for a bus at any time. The store located in the hotel is well stocked with items in case you forget to pack something as well as a lot of Disney items and souveniers. We did not eat in the restaurants so I cannot say anything about them. We will be returning :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Booked this hotel for the last leg of my honeymoon. We were greeted in typical Disney fashion as we got off the shuttle from our 4 day cruise. Everyone was very helpful, especially the front desk clerk, Bobert! He spent at least 10 minutes telling us all the things to do and how to get to and from the parks and Downtown Disney! Our room was awesome! […] Very clean and modern. If you are a Disney person, like my wife, you will appreciate the details in your room! The pillows had Louise on them! (from Princess and the Frog) The property is immaculate and huge! It was very impressive to see the size of the property and the entire Disney World! Mind-blowing, actually! Transportation to and from the hotel was good. Our room was a short walk to the complementary shuttle to the Magic Kingdom or the other Disney properties. It was actually cool to take the boats to Downtown Disney! At the end of our stay we took the complementary shuttle to the airport. Our flight left at 730am so we had to be out in front at 430am. A little early but better safe than sorry! Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend the hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Loved this resort!"
We spent the night prior to leaving on a Disney cruise. Please give yourself almost a full day if you stay here. It's a great value considering all the extra stuff you get to see and experience compared to a regular hotel. We got in around 6:00 pm and had to leave that morning - not enough time to enjoy all the resort and Downtown Disney. It was crowded […] but the resort is very large and we only noticed the crowd when we were in line to catch a boat to Downtown Disney for dinner - the line was long and we decided to just eat at Riverside, which we enjoyed - the restaurants and buildings are really neat. In the morning we made the short walk down the river to Port Orleans for breakfast. Between the two, I like the Riverside better and you can always walk down Port Orleans - 5 min walk. Riverside's grounds were beautiful!!! Our kids loved our room - we were in a King's Suite at LaPartalier Place (sp?) - it's just a regular room w/ 2 queen beds w/ a fancy name - BUT there is a button on each headboard and when you push it your headboard illuminates into a short fireworks show - VERY COOL! We'd definitely do again and give ourselves a whole day to enjoy everything. Adults would love this place - very romantic. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
