The Front Desk Agent was nice. The room was good. The beachview was not very good due to low tide levels, but that's not the hotels's fault. Overall, very nice for a quick over-night.

This hotel has a great view of the lake. the location is not the best because the problem is all the shops are half a mile to a mile away. the hotel offered a fireplace on the sand which was nice but it did not offer firewood. A friend And i had to go to walking get firewood on the other side of the island.

Just 2 problems: Not all the maids showed up so the rooms were not cleaned or partially cleaned at 4 pm; Carpet in dog room stained. Other than that the propery is beautiful, right on the lake, and close to downtown. The bed is extremely comfortable.

For some reason we did not have a shower curtain. We needed to get up at 4 in the morning and had to talk to the front desk through an outdoor phone (instead of in person) who was not real friendly. The stay was OK. They did provide some useful coupons to local restaraunts. Parking was a problem. So many families driving large vehicles and the parking lot was tight. Had to back all of the way out no place to turn around. It would have been nice for the breakfast to last until noon. We were scared after we read the reviews on this hotel, but had already booked it. When we got there, our room was ready- it was clean and comfortable. We were offered free wristbands for 3 local indoor waterparks, which was a surprise because I didn't see anything about that when we booked. Again- Happy! Quiet night, peaceful morning. I guess the rates should have been a tip off, but I wasn't thinking and made a reservation. The room looked like it hadn't been updated since about 1930. Everything in the room looked grubby and dingy. We actually took the sheets off and checked for bed bugs before we went to bed. I'll give it this much, no bugs that we could see. This was the worst motel I ever stayed at. The room was so small I could hardly move. The people I booked a room for were so upset the payed an additional $100 dollars for a upgrade. I will never stay there again.

Even though the price was good for this popular tourist spot, I still expected a minimum quality level. The "hotel" (motel.) was old and in much need of updating. We had a one queen bed rom and in total. (including bathroom) it was probably 14x14. Very small. Given all the other hotels in this area I would not stay here again

The hotel was ok, but not as advertised. The hotel consists of several buildings. The older buildings need to be updated. The advertisments show the new building, thus giving the impression this is where you will be staying. The best part of the hotel is the view, it is excellent. So if the view is what you want then this hotel has it.

The rooms were clean, decently loaded with refrigerator, and an outstandinbg view. Upon check-in , the staff was courteous and helpful with a variety of subject about where to visit, eat, and party. The room did need an update, but everything was very satisfactory as is. We are looking forward to our next ststay in Mackinaw City, ichigan.

This was our fourth visit to The Quality Inn. It is beginning to show some wear and will need some perking up soon. The bed comforters need replacing and the sliding screen didn't work well at all. The location is good. Just outside of the city, quite. The breakfast is all you could ask for.

Based on the pictures from the website, we were eager to stay at this Quality Inn. Upon arrival, we were very upset with our room. Not only were we not in the main building with a view of the lake, but our room was disgusting! The room was tiny, the floor had not been swept, the comforter was stained, and was overall not a nice place.

Where shall we begin. When checking in and discovering that our room was part of a dingy 50's style motel, I asked about the new facility in the back of the property. "yeah, we got rooms, but they're waaay more expensive". This genius statement from the GM of the property should serve as a warning to prospective guests. We book the room online once we got there the room was AWFUL!!! The wallpapper was falling off the wall the seams were glue together with gaulking it looked like and it was smeared on with a finger, nasty not clean. We didn't spend much time at the hotel. Price of the hotel was descent an included a free breakfast wit plenty of choices. The hotel had a beach front, but it needed a lot of maintenance as compared to neighboring hotels. The pool is nice, but could be opened earlier nd close later (10 am to10 pm). We went to use the pool at 10:45 am and it was closed […] and we waited for someone to open it for good 15 minutes. That seemed to be the case for several days that we stayed. The pool guy was rude and made us clean our shoes before we walked into the pool area complaining that he didn't want to clea after us. However, it seemed OK for him to walk all over the property an the just mach into the pool area in his tennis shoes. I would most likely try a different hotel next time. When my friends arrived they were told that they owe for the room that I already paid for. The guy then started to back track after they questioned him 3 times. When we arrived we asked him about it and he played dumb about it. I feel like we totally got ripped off by the hotel. The room was a very small queen room which is not in the description. Then […] the bathroom had an old sink counter that couldn't fit your stuff. There was plenty of room to build more space but they never will. My friends room was not clean but were given their key anyway but not told it wasn't ready. On there floor was an iron print plus their floor didn't look like it has been clean for over 5 years. Beds were comfortable, however the room appeared run down and smelled musty. The wall paper was stained and peeling in areas. The bathroom floor was worn, damaged vinyl. The wood trim was also dated and the room looked as if it was last updated in the 1970's (furniture and Formica vanity) with decorations (bedspreads, carpeting) from the late 80's-early […] 90's. The air conditioner was also too loud and had to be turned off in order for us to sleep. Loud bathroom fans from your own and adjacent rooms will wake you up at night. The bedspreads were stained and had to be removed immediately. In contrast, our friends room was recently updated and seemed fine overall. Found this hotel for our last-minute quick trip to Mackinac Island. Convenient and right on the water. Good place to eat across the street which was also pet-friendly for patio seating; even brought water to our dog.
