Hotel Features.
Guests arrive into a New Orleans-style train depot, and are ushered into a 2-story inner courtyard with the reception desk. Buildings are bordered by gardens and cobblestone streets, and some offer views of the resort pool or the Sassagoula River. Mardi Gras prevails at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, where large replicas of floats are suspended from warehouse-like ceilings. Outdoor fun includes the Doubloon Lagoon, a water playground with alligator fountains and a colorful, Mardi Gras- inspired slide in the shape of a dragon. The resort also features a separate children's pool, playground, game arcade, bike rentals and watercraft rentals. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.
