""Too busy to be accommodating""
This is a fantastic Disney Hotel. With that said, there are some issues which stopped me from rating the Hotel a 5. First, the pool is awesome BUT the food there is AWEFUL, $8.99 for 4 chicken nuggets and fries? The Shrimp and Lobster is nothing but a huge roll filled with lettuce with shrimp and scallop sprinkled on top. You cant even take a bite unless […] you totally remake the sandwich. The kids 83 year old Grandmother drove 60 minutes to see her grand kids and they would not let her in the pool area because she wasn't staying in the room and they were "too busy" to accommodate her. They told her to leave, i'm not kidding! Thank goodness someone in concierge saw this and helped her (told us not to tell), how sad is that! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel for families. 5 minute walk to back of Epcot and Main Street boardwalk. Movies on beach and several pools were terrific for kids and adults alike. Room not as requested from Hotels.com - the room we got was on a lower floor and had a day bed, rather than a sofa bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to Epcot, Clean&Quiet, Fabu Pool"
The rooms are very nice, very clean and the location can't be beat for access to Epcot. The staff is very very nice and helpful. The pool is so great for kids - it has slides and a beach type walk in for little ones.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful Hotel, Fabulous Pools"
We had 14 family members stay here and we all agreed it was a terrific experience. The rooms are quiet and well appointed. The resort is convenient to walk to Epcot so you avoid waiting for the bus. The restaurant and coffee bar and great. The breakfast buffet was terrific and the Steakhouse was beyond words great. We would definitely stay there again. "Overpriced rooms great pool"
Disney is known for it's attention to detail but these rooms need to be updated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great and very upscale. Would reccommend it to families that are rich and want to get away from the lower classGenuine Expedia guest review
Was extremely disappointed in our stay. Too many personal questions were required at check-in. Decking around pool (adult) did not have cool decking, which then burned the soles of our feet. Adult pool had young children, whereas sign stated under 12 needed supervision. Price was very high considering no continental breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good Disney location"
hotel location is ideal for walking to EPCOT and either walking or taking a boat to Hollywood Studios. Room is comfortable but simple.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It's Disney World"
Great place to hang out in the sun and relax with the kids by the pools and hot tubs. Super convenient to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Great dining there or walking distance. Ready to make it one of our new favorite places to stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to all Disney attractions."
Excellent location. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping was the best we experienced in a long time. Also stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and would highly recommend either hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not What It Used To Be"
The hotel itself is still very very pretty but the rooms are aging badly. Our room had peeling wallpaper, a TV that was set in a frame on the wall that was far to big so it seemed to hang in the middle with all the wires hanging out and the bathroom had peeling paint. Not really what you would expect from a "luxury" hotel or Disney for that matter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Yacht Club vs. Wilderness Lodge"
We've stayed many times at the Wilderness Lodge, and wanted to try something different this trip. Since we tend to spend lots of our time at restaurants in the World Showcase, we chose the Yacht Club. Check-in was quick, room was clean, and the location was great! Our room at the Yacht Club was brighter than those we've stayed at in Wilderness, not […] only because of the white furniture vs. mission-style wood, but also, there are literally MORE LIGHTS in the room! (is it strange that I noticed that?) We stayed during a busy time in April, but our room was super-quiet and the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the restaurant and lounge options within our hotel, though you have to head to the nearby Beach Club to get a counter service meal...and that was frustrating when you just want a quick snack. We've always enjoyed the convenience of Roaring Fork at Wilderness for a quick breakfast or late-night treat. The pool area at Wilderness is also a favorite. At the Yacht Club, you get the unique sand-bottom pool, along with a lazy river, but again, you're sharing with the Beach Club next door, so you have double the crowd. While I would stay here again, I can't say I preferred it to Wilderness. I feel like the Wilderness experience is a little more upscale, while the Yacht Club was a little more old-school retro. My husband - an outdoorsy guy who loves mission-style decor, preferred the Yacht Club! I really don't think you can go wrong with either resort - seriously, it's Disney! Great hotel very convenient to amusements. Ate at the hotel twice a little disappointing. Just because you pay a Lot for food doesn't always mean it' superb. Very nice staff treat you very well. There was mold around the sink stopper and they need to take a tooth brush to that area. For what I paid everything should be over the top. Had a nice time […] and transportation was great. "Overall Wonderful Experience, Needs Fine Tuning"
The staff is wonderful. Thank you Chip for giving us great recommendations and helping us navigate all that is Disney. The location is perfect for going to Epcot and the pool is wonderful. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. It was delightful. My only issue is with the little finishing touches within the room itself. My husband calls me a hotel […] snob, and he is right. I enjoy staying at the Four Seasons, Ritz, etc. So, I notice when there is rust on the sprinkler system, door handles that are very old and dated, and clumps of dust in the air/fan systems. These are simply fixes that don't cost much and should be done, especially for what you are paying per night. Come on Disney, you are better than that. Overall, however, I would definitely recommend and will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location and Pool"
We stayed at Disney a decade ago at the Port Orleans and took a boat ride to the Board Walk and passed this hotel/pirate ship. I've wanted to stay there ever since.... the pirate ship with water slide looked so cool. Also the sand in the pool and beach front were great. We had a ground floor room which was very comfortable for our family. We were able […] to view the fireworks at Epcot from our patio every night, a fun perk. The location of this property is ideal. You could walk to Epcot (France) each morning for pastries and coffee each day. I was fun to walk to the Board Walk and watch the performers in the evening. The magic bands are AWESOME! loved the ability to book fast passes, lunch/dinner reservation, charge everything to a secured card. Great way to keep track of expenses, we didn't buy a meal plan this time. I took the advise of a friend and placed a grocery order that was delivered to our hotel the day of our arrival. It worked very well, and was worth the effort. There is a small refrig in the room. If you ask for a microwave they will bring one down to your room. It was great to be able to buy apples, oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice, coke zero, gatorade, granola bars, etc waiting for us. Staff was very helpful, Amanda was able to arrange for us to stay in the same room after I figured out we arrived a day earlier than my original reservation. Huge help not to transfer rooms. WE loved our stay at the Disney Yacht Club. Though we had a couple of glitches with concierge and the t.v., the staff and hotel made sure we where taken care of promptly. The pool area was the best! "Good place to stay for EPCOT and HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS"
The Hotel staff was wonderful including the boat transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood studios. It took 1.5 hours to get to the Luau at the Polynesian. You have to take the bus to Downtown Disney, switch to another to the resort. The Boardwalk has a great bakery, salads, desserts, croissants. The ESPN restaurant was nice for a beer and appetizer. The Yacht Club is still the best property on site for adults although it is starting to show its age and needs some room upgrades for the décor and bathroom fixtures. "Pricey but nice"
Glad I did not pay full price, not worth $500 a night. Location and pools were great. Enjoyed the cocktails and breakfast but that is only available to select guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location for Epcot. You can walk to the entrance if you wish or take a short boat ride. Smaller venue for Disney but very elegant. Our room was on the concierge floor, overlooking the lake. Great! Highly recommend this hotel. Only negative (a small one for us) is that if you are into fine dining Disney is not the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"I've found my forever Disney home!"
The Yacht Club was first rate. The rooms are beautiful and quiet, which is a big deal for people that are light sleepers and don't sleep well in noisy hotels. There were times I thought I was the only person there so it is nice that there are 20 million kids running around (sorry parents!!) The walk to EPCOT is great and you can hit the Disney Boardwalk […] when the fireworks are done. But the best part is the staff. From the check in folks to the concierge, they took care of a glitch with my Disney bracelet linking to my mydisneyexperience account. Even comped me some fast passes for the time it took to fix it. "Great sand bottom pool and great location"
The Yacht Club Resort is a great place to stay for foodies like us. The onsite restaurants are good and you can take a stroll over to the Boardwalk or into EPCOT(assuming you have passes) for a variety of great foods. You don't have to leave the hotel to relax and enjoy yourself. If you're looking for the perfect easy going experience, grab a drink […] and truffle fries at the Crew's Cup. "Beautiful, clean, pool crowded, needs more maids"
The front desk & concierge staff were AWESOME! Rooms clean, beds ok, pool nice but too crowded. Couldnt go in the pool, there really wasn't any room so we just went down the slide a couple of times. People put towels on the chairs to reserve them so in the afternoon it is impossible to get a chair. I heard that they do a sweep of the chairs if they […] don't think they were being used for a period of time, but i didn't see that. There were so many chairs with only hotel towels on them, no shoes or other belongings. I feel that if there are no belongings but only a hotel towel, the pool staff should clear the chairs. One of the reasons we chose this hotel is because of the pool & we didnt even get to use it. The rooms were very clean but our room wasnt done till aprx 4pm each day. We left every day 1st thing in the a.m, came back at noon & again at 4pm & still wasnt done. We spoke to a manager & she noted to have our room done in the a.m. & after that it was done in the a.m. Its not the maid that was the problem, its a huge hotel & I don't think there is enough maid staff. Disney should have a sufficient amount of maids to have the rooms done in a reasonable amount of time. They should update the safe to keyless. We had the trial magical bracelets which were great & so convenient, you dont have to carry anything when you wear the bracelet but the safe still NEEDS A KEY. I hope they change the fastpass to more than 3 fastpasses & doesn't limit it to 1park. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Charming and convenient for Disney trip"
My friend and I stayed at the yacht club for a quick three day trip to Orlando at the end of August. We didn't want to be bothered renting a car, and with the Disney magic express and resort-wide transportation, we didn't need to. The yacht club itself was very quaint and charming, and the concierge couldn't have been more helpful- they gave us magic […] bands that allowed us to set up four fast passes in advance, enabling us to get all of the major attractions in the magic kingdom done in the course of a few hours. There were cabs lined up outside the hotel in the morning, which made it easy to get to universal studios. The pool was fun and the hotels proximity to the boardwalk and world showcase at epcot made it a great location for young-adults. Cant beat staying on premises at Disney, and I'd definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Top Notch with a few reservations"
I have stayed in the Epcot resort area several times, but this was our first stay at the Yacht Club. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area is very convenient for the Boardwalk, Epcot, Fantasia golf, and Hollywood Studios. My cautions for others- I marked I wanted two rooms with a king bed in each. We received a handicap accessible one queen […] bed room and a two queen bed rooms. If you are bringing children which we were not--it isn't "Disney"-like. It could have been any very nice hotel in any place. Last point- Buses to Downtown Disney included four resort stops. They are crowded and the rides are longer than you might be expecting. "Comfortable but appalling Internet"
This is a comfortable hotel well situated for Epcot and conferences at it and adjacent Disney hotels. I was there for a conference, and paying almost $500 a night. I've spent hundreds of nights in hotels, and this was the worst Internet access I've ever encountered. The connection to the wireless router was strong, but the bandwidth available from […] the router to the Internet was almost nonexistent. Most of the time, webpages failed to load at all because the browser timed out waiting for an Internet connection that was beyond awful. The front desk referred me to a support team, which told me that this is normal and that if I want useful connectivity I need to go to the lobby because the room connectivity is shared widely. I called back to the front desk, explained the situation, and asked to speak to a manager about the Internet connectivity. I never got a call back from the manager. One time room service, which was wuoted as taking 35 minutes, took an hour 15 minutes to arrive. Given the lack of Internet connectivity, this is a wholly inappropriate place to stay on business. For a family vacation where you want it to be impossible to go online, I'm sure it's fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Antonio at check in was (as was all the Yacht Club staff we dealt with) so friendly . He knows his Disney and helped get our vacation started on the right track. He was awesome. "very relaxing and memorable stay"
Really can't complain about service and hospitality, exactly what you would expect from Disney, and is why we always come back!! The grounds were beautiful and the lobby was very inviting and attractive. However, for a 4 diamond facility I found it rather tired in several areas. The rooms decor needs updating badly, however the vanity area and bathroom […] (minus the wallpaper) are classic and really don't date themselves. The towels although plentiful and clean are worn, beat-up, and rough. The bed linens are very simple (that's ok) but the quality is very poor and the beds are very hard. I have stayed at chain hotels with much better beds (sleep number beds) and higher thread count sheets. My only reason for saying this is because it is DISNEY and a 4 diamond resort and I know Disney takes every criticism to heart and uses them for improvement. We had a great time and would do it all over again for the experience. Also, the food was really good and consistent, but you better have reservations or you are not eating.... A little side note; Beaches and Cream is a great little ice cream parlor, but unfortunately could not eat there on this vacation (tried three different times) because it was so very busy. Maybe Disney should open up a separate location (for just the summer months) for quick order items and ice cream selections so they don't lose customers? Maybe pool-side? "Disney losing it's magic touch!"
Hotel was fantastic as always. We used to stay at the Grand Floridian at least once per year but disliked how far away it was from everything when using Disney transportation. The Yacht Club is in such a great spot. You can see Epcot AND Hollywood Studios fireworks each night from the property. The steakhouse on property is also one of the best. I only […] rated the property three stars because my check-in experience was poor at best. They insisted on taking our bags at valet but then told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait to get them to our room. Come to find out the bags were literally sitting on the curb the whole time. Unneccessary delay and hassle. The front desk took SO long to get us checked in. There were several mistakes made with our room keys so the gentleman had to keep doing it over and over. At concierge, when we were picking up our park tickets the desk clerk was unable to put the tickets on our room card which meant we had to carry around a pocketful of keys and cards. I was told it was a computer glitch. I have stayed at Disney alot and have to say this my all time worst experience in terms of customer service. Not only at the hotel but throughout the parks the attitude of the staff is just not so Disney anymore. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel within walking distance to Epcot"
The thing I like the most about staying at Disney resorts is the ease of getting everywhere. Epcot is a short walk (about 5 min.) or you can take a boat which also goes to Hollywood Studios. The food at the hotel was excellent and there is 24 hour room service. The pool area and grounds of the hotel are very nice. We had a basic garden view room which […] overlooked an area with trees and water where we saw a family of ducks from our balcony. We couldn't have asked for better service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the Yacht Club is a bit more relaxed than at the Beach Club. There seemed to be less young children there. Our stay was on the club level. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel itself was very clean, and our room was beautiful.
