The keys would not work 2 hours after we checked in. The room was nice clean and the AC was fair. The room was stuffy. I wanted a coffee around 10 o clock after we had returned from dinner out. The man working in the food shop said come back in 10 minutes after the shift change. I didn't go back and felt this was customer service failure. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again even with a few hiccups.

"Mass confusion!"
They tried to cancel my reservation. Said they had no rooms available. I had already paid and could not get a refund so I refused to leave. After waiting an hour. They found me a room. Not very professional!!

"Slow elevators and A/C didn't work"
I attend a lot of events at this hotel. They've got great conference facilities and a neat little coffee shop up front by the main lobby. The elevators are slow as molasses, though, and the A/C in the room couldn't be turned up or down. All in all I enjoy attending events but prefer not to stay there.

"Great food at Nicolinis."
an overnight stay to see the Rolling Stones.The hotel was very nice but the restaurant was exceptional.We all had something different and every meal was first class.I'd go there again just to eat.

"Bad experience"
For the amount of money paid it is not a good place. The lobby looks great but the rooms are drab. Also, we woke up to ants crawling all over the sink area outside the bathroom and in the bathroom on the toilet and up the wall. They were all over my personal toiletry items, including my son and my toothbrushes. I called downstairs, they apologized and sent up two tiny little toothbrushes that looked like play toys. I asked to be compensated someway for the cost of the room for the inconvenience of the ants and the lady at the desk said "since you booked online, the room is already paid for and we cannot adjust the price, but we can offer you a few cup of coffee". I just left. No continental breakfast - just a HUGE overpriced little store that offers "Starbucks" coffee! Whatever. Never staying there again.

"Sones Concert"

"Room nice, but damp"
Room was damp, woke with a headache next morning probably from mold in carpet. AC didn't help, a piece of paper left out was slightly warped from dampness after a day.

Worst Starbucks (24hour cafe) I have ever had, and way over priced. Room was nice, and clean. Extra towels were requested and provided. Overall, okay for the price, and good location.

"Let me sleep in ..."
Everything was great ! The stay was fantastic , the only negitive is that house keeping was knocking at 9:30 when we were trying to sleep in , kept coming backing and knocking more ... So we checked out before 10:30 . Other than that things were great ...

"Terrible air conditioning!"
Hotel was clean and close to airport. Hotel bar and restaurant was nice. However, the air conditioning was terrible. Did not cool well and very humid in both rooms we had. Although listed as a non smoking hotel. Rooms smelled of smoke really bad. Would not stay again.

"Old hotel needs major ypdates"
Clean but no indoor pool/spa. "Health Club" minimal but adequate. Food was very good and wait staff friendly but $30-40 light meal plus drinks seems pricy. Wheelchair access & roll-in shower good.

"Nice hotel, close to the airport."
Spent the night to be closer to the airport without worrying about car parking. They shuttle you to and from airport without charging for parking up to 14 days. All in all its a money saver and way more convinet.

"A Wonderful Hotel"
For the first time in a long time, after many stays at other hotels, I had a very pleasurable experience. I loved everything about my stay, especially for the money. My ONLY knock about the hotel was the location. There just isn't anything near it. Aside from that, I loved my room! The cleanliness, the comfort, the person at the front desk...everything was spot on for me. I would have expected to pay more than I did for a room like this! If/when I go back to Indy, I will stay here again. Heck, there is even a Starbucks inside :)

"Surprised it was rated 4.0"
I expected a lot more from my room at the Wyndham West based on the 4.0 reviews. Benefits: - Comfortable bed - Thermostat control - Quiet Reasons I am disappointed: - I found "private" hairs in the bathroom when we arrived - Poor security--there were many drunk people wandering the halls all weekend because the bar is open late - Room service woke us up at 8AM on both Saturday and Sunday to clean, too early for most people - Many light fixtures in the room didn't work - The shower nozzle was broken and would give the wrong temperature water in the middle of a shower/the nozzle would fall off in the middle of a shower or bath - The entrance door to our room was flimsy and difficult to shut and lock - The closet was broken - Our eggs from the breakfast room service gave us both upset stomachs - The parking lot was poorly lit and vast - No mini fridge - Furniture was old and some of it was taped together / in disrepair - All of the papers provided were crumpled and/or in scratched up and ugly books

"Very convenient to downtown"
We made reservations for weekend travel to Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium. Our selection of the Wyndham was based on ratings and great price (least expensive). Amenities such as on-site restaurant, lounge and coffee shop were very nice. Unfortunately, we both had a disagreeing dinner experience on Friday evening, which kept us in our hotel room until mid afternoon Saturday, but the manager was very courteous and accommodating. We were still able to make our event Saturday evening, and it took no longer than 10 minutes each way to and from the Stadium. We come to Indianapolis each year for the races, and will definitely book with the Wyndham again!

The lobby looks fancy, but the rooms (bathroom) were not as clean as they should be. The first room we were in the bathroom wasn't even cleaned at all, still shampoo or conditioner gunk on the ledge in the shower... They were very nice and quickly moved us to another room. After that I really questioned the cleanliness of the every room. After washing my face in the sink I wiped off the counter and dirt/dark spot showed up on my dry wash cloth. Plus, the restaurant in the lobby is expensive!! We just ordered Dominos delivery (that worked out great).

"More Good than Bad"
The hotel was very well located for where I needed to be for business. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. In terms of condition, the TV remote was a little unresponsive, the shower drained slow, and one of the two treadmills in the gym was out of order during my three day stay.

"Not Again"
Hotel and location were fine for my business purpose. After the first night's experience in the restaurant, would have liked that there other options around. Service was very slow and food was cold, even the soup. Second night decided to order room service since my experience the night before not pleasant. Well, tat was just as bad, there wasn't even a lid on the food when brought up to my room so of course, the food was cold again! Even asked for some crackers or roll, said he would bring it up, never showed up again. Also, because I am a single women traveling, always feel like they put me in the furthest room available to the elevators, etc., almost like a punishment@

"Nice property, but room not serviced during stay"
The hotel is nice as far as property location, restaurant and bar service, and sleep comfort, but housekeeping did not come at all during our two night stay. We really could have used some towel service and soap refresh. For such a nice hotel, this is the most basic of hospitality services that was neglected. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I would have rated it higher if the room had been cleaned.

"Very Disappointed"
The walls were paper thin. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The room was cold even with the heat on. The fire alarm went off 3 times in 8 hours which was in the middle of the night. The hotel overserved alcohol to the people staying there for the convention being held and drunk people were up and down the hall all night screaming and yelling. Stayed 2 nights got no sleep

"Frustrating"
Lengthy check in time, 45 minutes or so. 2 fire alarms went off. Rowdy convention with pot smoke in the air. Water in the shower barely got warm enough not to freeze to death.

"Front desk is a problem"
Front desk people were not very helpful or friendly. I found them to be a bit rude! One example: I called 5 times to tell them that my tv wasn't working and each time the front desk worker informed me that I was wrong. I finally found a member of housekeeping and he sent up a member of maintainance and it ws discovered that there was a problem with the tv's on our side of the building. Maintainance fixed it and it was fine. The other employees were very nice!

If you are looking for a hotel within downtown Indianapolis, this one is not it. However, it is cheap and close to downtown so it isn't much of a drive. The staff was friendly and the room was what you expect for the amount that you pay.
