Carpet was filthy. Leaking ceiling tile. Counter top was glued back together. Toilet tank cover was not the correct cover. Ok for a man by himself but will not take wife and children there again. Staff was very friendly though.

The room was clean and well-maintained; the beds were okay; there was a refrigerator and microwave (very useful); and the TV and internet service worked well. View was of the parking lot; there was no room for an extra bed or couch; lights were hard to turn on, bathtub drain was slow; continental breakfast was cheap and unappetizing; and the swimming […] pool was not operational (big disappointment in the heat of August). The location of hotel was easy to find however the room itself was a huge disappointment after a long day of driving. First of all the bathroom was dirty. There was black mold on the rubber bath mat.There were whiskers and soap scum in the sink. The sheets were so stained we got blankets from our car and slept on top of the bedspread.In one of the stairways […] there was an old toilet with a for sale sign on it and the room had a very acrid smell. We normally stay closer to the highway at the other hotels that a GPS will show, but this time venured over to the Econolodge on Main Street. Loved the price, the room was clean and tidy, the breakfast assortment included fruit coctail, for me a real bonus!! The front desk staff were so kind and helpful, we wont look anywhere else to stay next time […] we are in Sweetwater. Yes there were some things that were not perfect, but they were minor and hardly kept us from a great nights sleep. You have to eat at Bradleys Bar B Q, and make a quick trip to the Sock Factory. If you are around for the Fleamarket that is also really worth a look see. We love Sweetwater and make it our stop over whenever possible. Read more

This is the best place to stay if you have intentions on visiting the The Lost Sea, which I would also recommend. Bradley's B-B-Q is also most likely the best place to eat within the area. I got to the hotel at midnight without any confirmation info or my reservation credit card but still had no trouble checking in. Breakfast was surprisingly good with the typical oatmeal, fruit, etc but also make-your-own waffles.

Although at first look it appears to be somewhat worn, the place is clean, well maintained, and a good price. When I arrived, the person ahead of me got the last of the coffee. When I said if there was any chance of getting more, she got out behind the counter and made some more right away. I like that.
