"Highly recommend !!"
Was very well located. Close to the train and bus stations. Close to many eating options as well. So we had a good time with out two kids. the rooms are also very comfortable with the two large double beds to accomodate the two of us along with our 8 and 13 yr old kids. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet was fabulous . Lots of options and was very tasty as well.

"Very disapointed"
The beds were not made properly, sheets came off and the mattress protector was filthy. The doona was only layered between two flat sheets, which came apart through the night and we were left sleeping on a filthy, stained mattress protector with a filthy, smelly and stained doona. Dirty and disgusting, it was an awful experience, particularly for the price i paid. I would expect these conditions in a backpackers hotel, the bottom sheet wasn't even tucked in properly, so when i pulled back the bedding the sheets came away. we had to remake the bed before we even got in it. disgusting

"Not 4 1/2 STAR!"
After a 5 hour drive we were looking forward to our 4 1/2 star comforts at the Novotel Sydney Central. Quite a wait at reception with only one person on customer service (the other on the phone). Porter was LOVELY and helpful. Got to room eventually, tiny motel like room...opened curtain to find myself looking directly into about 1000 other grubby looking apartments! Could barely see the ground or the sky! No kettle in room to boil water to make a cuppa and no one was in a hurry to get us one when we requested it. Overall very disappointed with our "Mystery Hotel " stay. The place is definitely not what I would have expected for a 4 1/2 star place! Food in the restaurant was also overprice and nothing special!

"Ok but staff need to step up"
Stayed here as we were seeing a show - the location is great for Chinatown and Darling Harbour. No coffee in the room - only decaf. On checking out the lifts were not working and there were lots of people milling around not knowing what to do - went back to our room and called reception they said the lifts were fixed - they weren't. We decided to walk down the 9 flights of stairs with our bags - got to reception to check out and told them - not a sorry, our anything. Service with out a smile. Breakfast was pretty dismal at $32 per head.

"Very handy to transport and tourist attractions"
We had a great stay. The room was sufficient and had everything we needed. The gym facilities were excellent, well maintained and all in working order. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the buffet breakfast included in our accomodation, it was good too, it was extremely busy but the food was refilled and the staff tried their best to keep up with the demand.

"Awesome family stay"
Fantastic location, great rooms however the rooms are starting to get a bit "used" with the furniture looking run down and beds very hard. But the location is great and overall the hotel is lovely. The breakfast was also fabulous

"Busy Easter Break - Under Resourced"
Room was not made up after returning in the late afternoon. Weridly setup with half a couch in the middle of the room facing no where. Magic TV distribution system AV cabling was unplugged from MATV IP unit. I had to plug that back into the TV to make it work. second day, replacement shower cap and other items had not been replaced. The lifts are minimal, long waits. Easter weekend I can imagine is intense but Novotel should be well equipment and resourced with Headoffice data showing trends for that time of year. No reason in 2015 to miss the mark in so many ways overall. stay was expensive and a little dissapointing.

"Underwhelming and disappointing"
we were very disappointed with the state of the hotel in terms of cleanliness and its overall ageing appearance. The housekeeping was well below par and alot of furniture was damaged. Definitely not 4.5 star accommodation. On a good note note, the room service and meals were excellent but this was well overshadowed in the end.

"Empty spaces"

"Great location , suited our needs"
My initial experience at the hotel on checkin was far from impressive , I had 3 rooms booked for one night , the lady at reception kept telling me that I didn't have that booking , on her books it was written Incorrectly , and she said it would have been the way I had ordered it on wotif , I said no that wasn't correct and I had the confirmation email to verify my booking , she asked for the email , which I provided but never once apologised or said it was a mistake on their part , once we were booked in , the only other thing that was a little annoying was , no price sheet for the mini bar and when we asked for it , we were told that we could just use whatever we wanted and it would be charged to our account .... Um hello , but what are the prices , also we rang to ask about breakfast , 3 phone calls and 3 different prices given , maybe the staff should be made aware of these little things for when guests ask

"Nice and central to everything"
Didnt find certain staff that helpful with regard to booking a show we wanted to see. On the positive we were left alone so we could relax and enjoy the stay with our kids. Spent most of our time when at the hotel in the swimming pool. Room service food was really great , also the full breakfast we enjoyed on our last morning there. Furniture in the room was quite worn looking, but room was very comfortable and clean.

"Nice Hotel"
V. Good service from staff. Friendly & Helpful. Left bags twice, flagged cabs. Lots to do in this safe area. Short walk to Darling Harbour. Downside is internet is extra charge. The Pool is nice, but Hot Tub was too cold, and have a dumb 5-10min timer which you have to get up to turn the jets back on.

"Family weekend"
We came down to Sydney to take our sons to the octonaunt show at the capital theater and to the aquarium the following day. Room was great, service was great, it made for great weekend. Would highly recommend to anyone.

"Very Disappointed."
Several years ago when we stayed l would have given a very big 5 stars. I am afraid now its budget and l definitely will not book there again. Description of our room was superior and yet it was far from the truth. First time a kettle has been described as a coffee maker and as for the sofa lounge we had the corner piece only of a very old modular lounge. When l asked if we were in the correct room l was told yes and staff could not be bothered listening to my questions and basically turned away. We stayed 4 nights and for the cost involved we got nothing better than maybe 2 stars. Bathroom floor was dirty when we arrived and it stayed that way. Superior King and l can quite honestly tell you that my bedroom at home has more comfort and is at least clean.

"Hotel is in a great location"
Hotel is very close to China town and darling harbour. We arrived early and they managed to have our room ready 2 hours prior to checkin which was fantastic. The room itself was needing some attention, a fresh Coat of paint and a new t.v. Could have helped. The shower had rust which was quite off putting.

"TOP MARKS"
Congratulations Novotel Sydney Central Everything was perfect. We were greeted by lovely staff on arrival, we were a few hours early but we were able to leave our luggage there and we were given a tour of the pool and rooftop garden which we could use while we were waiting for our room. Our room was perfect we couldn't fault it. It was very clean had plenty of hanging space and a very spacious room. The pool was excellent, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the pool watching the planes go by. Breakfast was the best buffet breakfast we have had the food was perfect the staff were so helpful and friendly and it was a lovely atsomphere. The whole hotel is lovely and clean. Congratulations to all the staff at Novotel Sydney Central we we will be back for sure. Thank You for a relaxing holiday.

"It's a hotel, the bar should never close."

"my experience with Novotel Sydney Central"
Very good location, walking distance to most of the places of interest in Sydney like China Town, Darling Harbour...as well as the Central Station. The restaurant is relatively small and the breakfast selection is not much but it's still OK. In general, the hotel is nice and OK.

"My experience with Novotel Sydney Central"
The location of Novotel Sydney Central is good and the room is big enough, however there were only 2 chairs inside it. There were quite a lot space for another chair. The breakfast is expensive which us to dine it outside. The staffs are indeed quite nice and helpful.

"Central position and a lovely hotel"
We stayed 2 nights at the Novotel to attend a wedding. This is a really well positioned hotel in the central area . Close to train station, trams, and china town eateries. The Hotel is lovely and Buffett breakfast- who can resist!

"Clean, friendly, I would recommend"
We stayed here over Australia Day weekend in a room with 2 Queen Beds and were not disappointed (2A, 2C). Although our room was not ready until 4pm, after arriving at 1pm (a tad earlier than our 2pm check in), we were given some drink vouchers which we enjoyed at the bar whilst our kids watched movies in the kids area. Breakfast had a fantastic selection and was fresh, more than expected. We would stay here again. Staff were friendly and informative for someone that hasn't been to Sydney before.
