"Great Hotel, no free wifi, nice pool and good view"
I though it was great and very comfortable, no free wifi unless you join there club.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
All was well. We took advantage of the pool - which felt great after a hot day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Nice hotel and good staff. Hotel is very up to date for the most part. Only issue is parking is valet only.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Older but nice"
This hotel is older in a good location one block from metro redline makes it pretty easy to get around. Staff was friendly. Pool is very nice with a good little bar. Only complaint is that elevators are small and slow. It is a big hotel so it can be frustrating waiting only to find elevator is fullGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Comfortable but not again"
It's a lovely historic hotel. We were told we could have the haunted suite by reservations, but then found out when we arrived that they do not rent this suite. It happened to be the reason we chose this hotel. It's comfortable and the staff are nice enough. Parking fees are atrocious, it's a long walk to the national mall but the subway is close.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location and surrounding community is great. Good value !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Next to a metro station with plenty of places to eat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I always stay at the Hyatt. Discovered this beautiful hotel with a very classical environment. Loved every minute of my stay - from checking in to leaving. Restaurant meal was great. View was very good. Quality of service- excellent. Great location. I will return. First time using Hotel.com. Was very skeptical about service. You are GREAT! Will use […] your service again. "Best hotel in DC"
Had a fantastic time. Great hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice staff, very helpful, good location, interesting neighborhood, good transportationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
From the moment of our arrival the Omni's staff was truly amazing. Courteous, cheerful, informative and very efficient. Good thing because the rooms was quite mediocre. Pretty much so a beige box with no appeal. Everything looked old and dull. The walls were completely bare. Bathrooms were very small and, strangely enough, the sinks were unusually high. […] This massive complex was the host hotel for a family event which explains our stay and while the staff was way above average I doubt we would choose to stay here again. The DC area offers so much better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was in great location. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only negative was the slowness of the elevators and the fact that if you forgot something in your car you had to go to the valet and they had to walk you to the car and wait for you to finish. I would have liked to have gone on my own and returned the key to them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was superior but not too friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to bus and trains"
Well kept older hotel although the air conditioning was noisy. Very convenient to public transit. Plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Hotel staff was very helpful giving information and directions. Will stay there again on next visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my third time staying at the Omni, once for a conference, twice for pleasure. I love this enormous old hotel. I love the old standards they play in the lobby, the gorgeous gardens and grounds, the location next to Rock Creek Park. I prefer big, anonymous grand hotels like these to boutiques and small inns, and the Omni is a classic. Next time, […] I'll request a room with a small balcony as I had the last time but not this time. It may seem a little dated to some, but I find it clean, very comfortable, and luxurious in an old-school way. And their buffet breakfast is pretty much heaven. Don't miss it. When we arrived we thought this is a great place. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The location is great being close to a subway station. Everything about the stay was good except the valet parking which was very expensive and annoying. It is always so much easier to do it yourself but I realize that because of cramped quarters for parking […] this isn't feasible. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Family vacation w/ 5 year old kid"
The hotel is conveniently located nearby Metro station, and within walking distance to the National Zoo. It's easy to explore DC without a car from this location. The room is clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool is kids' favorite.Genuine Expedia guest review
Love the ambiance of the hotel! Love the shops nearby. Did not get to eat in the hotel but I bet it was good too. Metro located just down the block. Will definitely be staying here again at next visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Another excellent stay at the Omni Shoreham"
Although extremely crowded during the memorial Day holiday weekend (at least 4 weddings) we enoyed our vist, the third time we've stayed at the Omni Shoreham. We've also stayed at the newer Marriot Woodley park next door and prefer the Omni. Our only complaint are the two small elevators in our wing. As an older hotel, it requires more patience due […] to the smaller number of elevators. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed only one night, but my expirience was great. There is only one thing that I didn't like too much, price's food at restaurant and service room.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was a nice hotel. I liked it? It was a nice hotel I slept there. It was clean. The water was hot? Okay?Genuine Expedia guest review
Travelled with hubby and our 1 yr old son, we were able to check in early without an early check in fee, was given a microwave in the room thanks to Fernanda, were able to check out late at 2pm free of charge. You can't beat that! Definitely recommendable. We had a wonderful stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little out of the way, little things add up!"
The Omni Shoreham is a nice hotel, very large with many amenities. Our room was very spacious, especially for DC. Everything was clean and the overall condition of the room was very good, with some minor cosmetic issues. For the price we paid on Expedia it was an excellent value. The downside is that the location requires a car or significant use of […] the Metro system to get to downtown tourist attractions. The only other complaint is that it seems that the more grandiose the hotel, the more everything else costs. Soda's are $4 each, and wi-fi is only free in the lobby. The restaurant was way overpriced for us average travelers and would appear to be pretty steep given the quality of other eateries in DC. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful Hotel - but maybe bagels too expensive"
I had business in this section of DC and received a wonderful 1-night rate from Hotels.com at the Omni Shoreman. Normally, I would not stay at the Omni because it is simply too expensive. With the hotels.com deal, I could sample it. All in all, the Omni is a wonderful hotel in the old-classic-style of the customer is our highest priority. This is great. […] There is much to praise and not much to complain about. Location is great, neighborhood is great - Metro stop is 30 second walk away. My one quibble is the cost of in-hotel amenities. I am not allowed to cite specific costs and rates in this review. Let it be said that I stopped by the lobby coffee bar for a snack - and nearly fainted from the cost of a single bagel. This was not a "sit down" coffee-shop. It was a walk-up counter-coffee-shop. Again, I'm not allowed to say how much it cost. However, the cost was so high that I was shocked. (Mind you, I have stayed in many very fancy hotels in my time and paid a lot for a bagel - this was way over the top.) There was a small market/convenience store 1 block away and I purchased a package of 6 bagels for what it would have cost for 1 bagel at the Omni. My quibble is that there comes a point where you feel taken advantage of. The mega-cost bagel is that point. The Omni could have charged a few dollars more for the room and had reasonably priced bagels in the coffee-bar. I would not have felt so taken-advantage-of. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to metro and restaurants"
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful 4 star hotel but needs a little TLC on some sections. Room was very spacious and clean including the bathroom. Bed was great! About 2 blocks from metro and many restaurants around so we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, its too expensive. Overall this hotel was beautiful except for the few areas where you can tell its age. […] If we return to DC we will definitely stay at this hotel because it is not near the craziness of downtown but its close to many attractions. You Must go to Medaterra restaurant which is right by the hotel, they had food/drink specials for the 3 days (all day) we were there. Also must go to Nando's Peri-Peri restaurant by the Chinatown metro stop, the chicken is amazing and very reasonably prices. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great hotel! Great staff! they go above and beyond, it was my fiance's birthday and I called them to please place something that signifies his birthday in the room, and they wrote a lovely note and gave him a lovely chocolate cake. The staff is nice, room is clean. The hotel is close to the metro station and in a lively, safe and fun enviroment.Genuine Expedia guest review

Old hotel. Also, I don't like hotels that charge for internet access. Too expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sort of Tired"
I was a little surprised at how "tired" the Omni is. First room I had the internet was not working (after a very nice tech support person tried his hardest). Second room which was two floors directly below the first room had great internet but was on the first floor with a loud rattling A/C and when I opened the windows instead I discovered my room […] to be directly above where the taxi drivers in the pick up queue stand and do their smoking. Both rooms were 'accessible' rooms which I did not request so felt oddly laid out for a traveler not requiring that amenity. Morning hot beverage service that comes when you sign up for their rewards program was a nice touch. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable one-night stay"
I was able to check in a bit early, had no problem with the front desk, with very friendly staff (including valet parking). The room was large and comfortable. Check-out was smooth. Altogether a problem-free stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but no breakfast"
The physical condition was flawless, although I would have preferred a light over the tub.The staff was courteous and efficient. My main complaint is the lack of a free breakfast. If they have to charge I expect no more than airport prices, not 16 bucks for a bagel water.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Close to the zoo."
My daughter and I were in town to see the zoo and stayed at the hotel two nights. Valet was quick, check-in was quick. "Great value. Watch out for valet cost."
Hotel was amazing! Clean room, comfortable bed, nice sheets, and a great location. Hotel parking is over $40 a day after tax, however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A grand oldtime hotel with ornate public rooms."
We found the entire staff especially helpful and the hotel itself is old-fashioned in a very attractive and nice way with ornate, luxurious public rooms. Pool is great. Only question has to do with parking. Valet parking is expensive but, if you don't want to pay for it, is there an option other than the street? Would definitely recommend the Shoreham […] to others. "beautiful hotel with wooded views in the heart of"
This hotel is walking distance to zoo and across from the Metro. It is an easy and beautiful down hill bike ride through Rock Creek Park right to the Kennedy Center! Capitol Bike share is around the corner and the the hotel even rents bikes (but those must be returned to the hotel and bike share can be one way). The view from our window was of woods […] and we could not believe we were in a major city. we even saw hammocks in the garden. The outdoor pool was heated and great for laps. The concierge was helpful and even had available metro passes (which we could fill with fare) - and which saved the new $1 per ride add on for the paper tickets.
