"Old hollywood."
The room was ok but the bed was very uncomfortable. Could not sleep well. Plus the radiator in the room was very loud. I would prefer to stay elsewhere, if just for the bed. Service was quite good.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Loud and bright, all night!"
Walls are tissue paper thin. You can hear every noise in the hall. When neighboring rooms take showers it is very loud. Very difficult to get room dark enough to sleep. Hall light comes through bottom and sides of door. Curtains are not able to block out exterior light. Bring sleeping mask and ear plugs!Genuine Expedia guest review

"A Great Hotel at a Great Location"
I have stayed in this hotel many times. Some rooms are clearly nicer than others. This time i stayed in a very large, very bright corner room which was truly great. "Beautiful hotel at a great location"
The hotel is beautiful and the room I had was very comfortable. The location's great too. Just a minute's walk to Woodley Park metro so pretty convenient to get around anywhere. There's also CVS and a great row of restaurants outside if you don't feel up to venturing too far out. The high point for me was the staff. "Grand hotel in nice neighborhood"
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We were in DC to visit with family and bring in the new year. The hotel is gorgeous and grand. Yet so close to a metro stop (5 min walk tops!). Our room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. My only criticism is that it was a little frustrating to not be able to get room […] service in the early hours of New Year's day. However, I think the hotel was overwhelmed. "Great location. Beautiful historic hotel."
The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Room was clean. Housekeeping forgot to service our coffee twice and didn't vacuum once within the week we were there. However, great service recovery by housekeeping manager, who sent up a nice apology fruit tray. Parking rates were ridiculous but seemed commensurate with other DC and surrounding area […] hotels. I thought the stay at the Omni was very nice. Great staff, nice lobby, room service was excellent, and the location was perfect. Although the wireless was 9.95 per day and the business center down stairs was 9.95 per 15 minutes. Last minute trip to D.C. on Government orders, Hotels.com had the better rates and made the trip and stay a breeze. My room was in the East wing of the hotel and was very old, dingy and dark. No overhead lights and only a few low wattage lamps in the room. Although the price for the room I got through hotels.com was quite reasonable, the hotel's additional charges made one feel nickeled and dimed beyond reason. If you had a car, it HAD to be valet-parked, no exceptions. […] If you wanted an item from the car, you had to use the valet service to have it brought up, let you retrieve the item and than re-valet parked. Multiple tips expected. And, on top of all these 'extras', the hotel charged $33 (with tax, $39) a night for parking!! Outrageous. WiFi internet access was $9.95 a day! Most other places I have stayed, it's free. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and room. I would ask for something not on the ground floor if staying directly behind the park. Had a few peepers in the morning.
