We stayed at the Omni for a friend's wedding. Even though we were a last minute addition, outside of the room block, they placed us in the same area as all of our other friends. They even gave us an early check in, which was a huge help.

Omni Parker House is an historic hotel and a terrific location to experience Boston. Walking distance to many historic sites along the Freedom Trail and nice restaurants and pubs. This is a very old facility and I presume many areas have not been modernized intentionally. You get the sense of stepping back in time - in a good way - just walking in the front door Rooms are small, but well appointed and comfortable. I found the staff to be attentive and welcoming.

This was once a fine hotel, but its best days are behind it. The lobby is gorgeous, and the lobby bar elegant, but the elevators seem to lead to an entirely different hotel. The rooms are cramped and dated. I had two problems that required visits from engineering. First, neither phone in the room worked -- I had to call the hotel from my cell phone to set a wakeup call They swapped out both phones next morning. Second, the float that actuates the fill cutoff valve in the toilet tank would stick in the up position, preventing the it from refilling. I wasn't interested in doing my own maintenance, so I reported the exact nature of the problem to staff. I returned that evening to find a charming little card from engineering, explaining that they had snaked the toilet. Obviously, this did not fix the problem. Additionally, the walls between rooms are quite thin. I was able to hear someone in the next room snoring, and to overhear conversations in adjacent rooms quite clearly. The hotel charges $10/day for internet access (wi-fi or wired), and the bandwidth, even when wired, is terrible. They did refund the charge for me after I explained that I switched to tethering my laptop to my cell phone for the duration, and got much better performance. Lastly, the hotel needs to rethink its bath amenities. The soaps and shampoos are very heavily floral-scented, not neutral or subtle. Overall, I can not recommend this hotel, and will not be staying there again.

The Hotel is close to everything we wanted to see, and within walking distance. Shopping and historical sightseeing as well as Boston Commons are easily accessible. The Hotel bars are nice to kick back and have a few drinks. The only thing I really can't recommend is the breakfast buffet. We were seated at about 10:45 on a Sunday morning, and the food warmers were basically empty. There was one frazzled chef making omlets who acted like it was a highly unusual event for anybody to show up on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Our table cloth was dirty with coffee stains from a prior customer and the service was poor. The Hotel overall is a good place to stay and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Its location was exactly what we have been looking for. Walking distance to the Opera and Quincy Market. This is a beautiful property and one can tell the grand history of this place.

Hotel has a lot of character because of it's history. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location right by the Boston Common, on the Freedom Trail is great for sightseeing. Short walk to Fanueil Hall and Freedom Trail attractions. The only con is that the rooms seemed too small for 2 double beds, and there was little space to move around in the room or place our luggage.

We stayed at the Omni Parker for 4 nights recently and had a wonderful time. This is one of the few hotels in Boston that is happy and able to provide reasonable accommodations for a family of 6. At check-in, a staff member overheard my daughter mention my birthday so they later surprised us with some complimentary desserts to help us celebrate the occasion. This was a nice and totally gratuitous touch that was much appreciated. We stayed in an executive room with 2 double beds and a fold-out couch. The room view was poor but we spent most of our days touring the city. The work-out facilities were fine. The location of the hotel is excellent if you like being close to Boston Commons, Quincy Market and walking distance to other attractions like the Aquarium.

WE needed a place to stay for the weekend and this worked perfectly. Received a gracious welcome and early checkin, which was needed as we arrived on red-eye. A block from the MTA and so we were able to get around without difficulty. Concierage provided great suggestions for casual dining within a block. The only issue is that the room was small, but that is expected for a vintage, classy hotel. Comfy linens and towels. Great value and we will go back.

Great location, near T station, Boston Common, North End, Freedom Trail, etc. Nice old ornate wooden interior, lots of brass, etc. Very busy, bustling lobby area...kinda fun! The first room we were given faced a brick wall, so we had to go back down and request a room with more of a view. Got a decent one facing the old city hall. Wifi costs extra. Valet parking is $36/day. Could hear the people in the adjacent room quite clearly (normal conversation)...I guess the walls aren't sound-proofed enough. Overall, it was a fun stay!

Visiting family and needed place to stay in Boston. Chose Omni as the hotels are generally first rate. This example was ok in the lobby but dissapointing in the room. Peeling wallpaper with water damage in the bathroom, dirty carpets, noisy location, and poorly functioning antiquated wall a/c meant sleep was compromised. Staff platering hallway meant we had to manouvre around workment on the route to and from our room.

Staying at the Omni Parker House was like taking a history tour. The events and people who have been to the hotel made for an interesting stay and the staff was incredible and so helpful. While the rooms are small they are very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the city on foot and the staff was eager to provide recommendations and directions. I'd certainly come back to the hotel!

This hotel is in a great location, with restaurants, shops, subway nearby. The size of our queen room was laughable when we opened the door and almost hit the bed! The bathroom is even worse! You have to maneuver around the door because it almost hits the toilet! And, there's no vanity, just a pedestal sink. With that said...bed comfy, temperature good, clean, friendly staff, and in a great location. This is not a place to stay if you plan to relax in your hotel room, watch TV, and are seeking ultimate luxury. However, if you will be out and about exploring the beautiful city of Boston, and want a historic hotel at a reasonable price, then this is it. We would stay here again.

Very nice old hotel, excellent service, several bars and restaurants in hotel from which to choose, comfortable bed. Excellent service in fine dining restaurant, although I did not like the stuffing in the lobster. Blue crab has a very delicate flavor that should not be overpowered with red peppers--stuffing too bready, as well. The lobster was yummy. Skip the stuffed one.

other than the location, this hotel is highly overpriced. The walls are soo thin. I could hear a conversation being held in the room next to mine perfectly. It was awful. They charge 10 $ per day for wifi... Its crazy, BUT if you sign up for their membership is free ONLY IF , and its a big if, you book thru their page, they might let it slide if its ur first time but they warned me that if i wanted free wifi next time, i had to book thru them directly.

The room was very small and cramped, and had a terrible view (even though I requested a good view when they asked for my preference - why ask if you can't deliver?). The wifi is not free, and the walls were incredibly thin. I could hear detailed conversations going on next door, and when someone closed a door on my hallway it was like a bomb going off. I gave a four for cleanliness - it was clean but the decorative pillows were ratty, there were chips in the walls and the paint was peeling in places. The staff was very friendly though, and the gym was nicer than most in hotels.

Chose this hotel for the location and historical relevance. Well, I got both. The hotel was old (historical) and therefore the room and bathroom was small. The AC was a window unit that was very loud. Add on top of that the traffic noise (location) was very disturbing all hours of the night. If the hotel was indeed haunted as advertised, I would not have heard the ghost at all. On top of the steep price to not get any sleep, parking was extra, valet was extra, breakfast was extra, internet was extra, tipping the valet and bell boy, etc.... Speaking of breakfast, had the Boston Benedict... it was tasteless. Save yourself some money and driving frustration. Get a hotel outside the city and take the train in.

Service at Parkers restaurant in the morning of 11/9 was average. Upon arrival the waitress assumed i was going for the buffet and sent me downstairs but i told her i wanted to see the menu. It isn't right to assume. I guess it's the way to get you to spend money. Also she forgot a spoon and milk for my coffee. Food was fabulous though.

I made spur of the moment plans at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston because of my husband's early a.m. business meeting. I was delightfully surprised as soon as I stepped into the hotel. Walls covered in wood, memories of long ago meetings, political engagements, celebrity sightings all added to the allure of the Parker House. The staff represents the hotel's history well, from the PH created Boston Cream Pie to Parker House rolls. Offerings of a print-out of the hotel's history, as well as staff, most able to regale visitors with the hotel history and gossip concerning past famous and infamous visitors, the alive kind, as well as the ghostly visitor or two. As soon as we got there, I grabbed a glass of wine and headed to the welcoming lobby, where I had a fun conversation with an actor preparing to run his lines. I wasn't there long enough and can't wait to go back!
