No complaints about the Hotel or Staff. There is a nice 24 hr Deli across the road. Room was about what I expected for the price. The imediate neighborhood was a bit dirty but I felt safe enough. I wouldn't recomend it for families with young kids. I would stay there again. It's a bit old school but that was kid of cool too. I do Love NY.

It is well situated for one to get around New York.A short walk or cab ride, to most places that you would want to see in the City. For the "urbanite" the subway is about a block away. Only 6 stops from SoHo. To really enjoy this Hotel get the Bigger rooms/Business suites on the higher floors.Some of the views aren't great but the layout is worth the few extra dollars. F.G. The Hotel was not the best I have stayed at but it was quite I will say the Staff made the stay an enjoyable one. I will return for sure and will recommend others.

"The Omni Birkshire Place - Location Location"
The room was very clean, the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. My daughter and I had a great time. It's now my favourite hotel in NYC!!!!
Great location,the room was great however it was very disappointing when their was no water presure in the shower(the maintenance guy said :that it take longer for the water to get to the 15th floor) the water tempreture wasnt warm enough , the satelite was not working because of a storm.and there is a $15 charge for internet.

"Omni Berkshire Hotel - Great Location"
The Omni Berkshire Hotel has a great location right at the corner of 52nd and Madison. The rooms were very clean and all staff members were very friendly. We signed up for an Omni prefered guest card before arriving and we were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice. The staff was very friendly. We had one problem with loud neighbours on […] the final night. The hotels front desk said that they sent security up, and that they couldnt hear anything. That was a bit frustrating. Marilyn was amazing. Very helpful. Doormen were courteous and attentive...The room was very "out of the way" and quite small albeit very clean. There was no view to speak of. We had a great time in New York our hotel was fine but sometimes the little things that are not done right can make things less memorable. One evening we ordered room service and asked for 3 desserts one for each of us. Instead of the Creme Carmel we ordered for one of the dishes my daughter got a chocolate cake. "Nice quiet hotel."
Room was not too large, but super clean and recently renovated. Quiet hallway and almost no street noise on the 17th floor. Was disappointed that the view from the 17th only included the building across the street. Couldn't see the streets below since the windows don't open and there was no balcony. Unassuming facade and modest lobby. Friendly staff […] and quick check-in. Joined their frequent visitor program and got free Wi-Fi and newspapers. Nice linen on the bed, though the white housecoat provided was inexcusably cheap looking! Well placed -- walkable to most Manhattan landmarks including Times Square/Broadway, Central Park, etc. Neighbourhood felt very safe. "Fabulous Retreat in the middle of New York"
We booked our room at the Omni Berkshire and we would highly recommend this hotel to any one looking for a terrific place to stay when in New York. Our experience exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay again on our next trip.

"Fabulous service at New York Hotel"
This hotel is not only in a pefect location close to the 5th Avenue it has fabulous client service. Everybody was super friendly from the moment we arrived to when we checked out. And on our final day, the hotel staff put a real exclamation point on these sentiments. Our family checked out and toured central park that day. We had a night flight booked […] back to Canada. That was when my wife began to feel what most likely was a touch of stomache flu. She had zero energy, began to feel faint on the subway and indeed passed out for a few seconds. We immediately went back to the hotel to see if she might be able to rest for an hour or two so we could still fly home that evening. We asked at the hotel's reception, if they had a place where my wife might be able to lie down for a little while. It didn't take long before they gave us our old room back. I went to the bar to get a tea for my wife and they gave it to me free of charge and told me they hoped she felt better. When I went up to the room, a few minutes later, they sent a tray with soup, ginger ale, bread and told me it was compliments of the hotel. I'd never seen that kind of response in any trips I've taken around the world. And this hotel should be congratulated for outstanding service. We will always go back to the Omni after this experience!!! Read more

Hotel is located steps from St.Patrick's Cathedral, shopping on 5th Avenue, 7 minute walk to Rock Centre, 20 minute walk to Times Square & Broadway Shows. I highly recommend the Hop On Hop Off two day buses. You can buy the tickets at the Conceirge Desk at the Omni. You can catch the buses daily around the corner at the Waldorf. Travel from one end […] of the city to the other and learn entertaining & historical facts. Hop off the bus whenever you want to explore an area. Europa Cafe is around the corner from the hotel and a great choice for a reasonably priced hot breakfast. The Cafe offer salads to go and healthy sandwiches. Share a piece of Cheesecake at Juniors after watching a play. Have dinner or drinks at the Rock's skating rink , enjoy the lights & statue. Enjoy the views at Pier 17 and share a pizza at Unos. No need to take a taxi, take the hop on hop off buses and Shop at Century 21 near the WTC site but get there early. Take the Staten Island Ferry , it is free and you can see great views of Lady Liberty. Read more

So central to everything. We could walk to Central Park and the Theater District. Mary in the concierge service did a fantastic job getting us theater tickets. Will certainly stay here again. Highly recommended!

While the hotel was nice, the room was extremely small with very limited space for clothes, literally no drawer space at all and the cost of the room was very expensive. I think that during the holiday season hotels tend to take advantage of guests.

The Omni Hotel is the perfect location for theater, great food, shopping and taking in the sights like Rockefeller Center etc I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is polite and friendly, and the accommodations are great; but most of all, its location,location, location.

This hotel had the most comfortable bed and pillows that I have ever had in a hotel. I never wanted to get out of bed!! Great hotel, friendly staff. Would deffinately stay again.

This is one of my favorite hotel in NYC. It is located few blocks away from rockofeller center and central park. Most of my favorite stores are just few blocks away. The hotel is renovated nicely and the hotel personals are extremely nice and helpful:)

We initially booked another hotel for our stay in the city, but were only able to tolerate one night due to the awful quality of the accomodations. We found the Omni for an equivalent price and we were able to move... into what was FAR MORE than we would have hoped for. 5 star accomodations at a very reasonable price. "OMNI Berkshire - nice rooms, great location"
first, the good news: great location. recently renovated. reasonably sized, clean, comfortable rooms. now my one complaint - did not like the wifi approach - free if you registered with them to be a "member", but a high per day charge if you didn't want to give them your email address. in today's world, wifi should be free with no strings attached.

We went to this hotel on our 1st anniversary and the staff had place a card and strawberries dipped in chocolate in the room when we arrived. Usually you tell hotels that you're going on a special occasion and they don't really do anything special. The location is perfect without being in a noisy street which is VERY BIG problem in manhattan. Also […] the walls are super thick so you can't hear your neighbors at all. Room are very well kept.
