Open seven days, the Vanilla Face & Body Spa encompasses two floors and comprises eight treatment rooms, including a Vichy shower room and a rainshower room. Facilities for couples include double massage rooms, couple's lounge, steam room, and rainshower room. A VIP suite for families or groups is also available. A manicure/pedicure area, steam rooms for men and women, and relaxation lounge are also offered. The facility specialises in massages, facials, and a full range of body treatments.
Signature treatments include Vanilla Slice, Vanilla Suite for Two, Mala Mayi, and Ocean Dreaming. There are also treatments specifically dedicated to younger teenage customers.

The Vanilla Face & Body Spa is dedicated to the promotion of wellbeing and relaxation through the healing powers of spa and water treatments, and has influences from native Aboriginal culture.
Kodo Melody Massage (1 hour): AU$90–$95
Rhythmic Kodo body massage inspired by traditional Aboriginal techniques designed to tone and re-align energy flow, and relieve stress. Native aromatic oils are used for rejuvenation, harmonisation, or detoxification.

Gubbera Kodo Rocks Therapy (1 hour): AU$110–$115
Hand-carved Gubbera stones, unique to the northwest Kimberley region of Australia, are warmed and combined with rhythmic Kodo body massage to relieve muscular, physical, and emotional tension.

Pregnancy Massage: AU$80–$85
Gentle massage using safe techniques to ease puffiness, aching limbs and discomfort, and promote relaxation and calm. Recommended from the second trimester until delivery.

Footprints in the Sand Treatment (30 minutes): AU$50–$55
A deep foot soak is followed by a stimulating exfoliation treatment using sea salt. A nourishing aromatic pepperberry foot mask is then applied before smoothing Pearl Feet Treat foot lotion. Finally, a soothing foot massage is given to rejuvenate the entire body.

Sea Salt Body Buff (45 minutes): AU$70–$75
Treatment designed to stimulate the circulation system, soothe tired muscles, invigorate the skin, and revitalise the spirit. An energising full body wet room exfoliating therapy, using aromatic oils, is followed by sea salts to cleanse and purify. Finishes with a warm water massage to relieve stress.

Vanilla Slice (90 minutes): AU$120–$125
An exfoliating treatment for the back is followed by a 20-minute back massage and Balinese palming. A facial and scalp massage follows, finishing with a towel wrap for the feet.

Traditional Swedish Massage (60 minutes): AU$75–$80
A traditional massage adapted to individual requirements (strong or light) and comprising either a full body massage or back, neck, and shoulder treatment.

Vanilla Suite for Two (2 hours): AU$300–$310
A ritual footbath, steam room, and rainshower begins this treatment. Then guests design their own ritual with a tray of salts and masques, which they apply to each other. A massage follows. A complimentary fruit platter and sparkling wine round off the experience.

Mala Mayi (2 hours, 30 minutes): AU$225–$235
Complete rejuvenation with a full body massage using aromatic oil and desert salt exfoliation, then a body mud wrap and Aboriginal massage. A Vichy shower and scalp massage are also included. The treatment ends with a light meal platter.

The Vanilla Face & Body Spa uses the Australian skin care ranges Li’Tya and Uspa, which use indigenous plants and minerals such as lillipilli, rosella flower, and pink desert salt.
Pines Buffet Restaurant - International buffets including seafood, carvery, salads, and desserts. Located on lobby level. Floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views. Informal red and blue décor. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Dôme Café - Casual dining venue offering soups, sandwiches, salads, and cakes. Teas and coffees. Located on lobby level, with outdoor patio and ocean views. French style café décor with marble-top tables and wrought iron furniture. Wooden floors and counters. Open daily from early morning to late afternoon.
Stamford Arms Pub - Hot and cold bar snacks, British and other imported beers, cocktails, and soft drinks. British-style pub décor with outdoor terrace overlooking ocean. Big screen shows live sporting events. Open daily from noon until late. Lobby Lounge - Wines by the glass, beers, cocktails, and spirits. Located off the lobby. Low seating as well as bar area with stools. Blue and purple décor. Grand piano provides occasional live entertainment. Open daily from late afternoon to late evening.
Cascades Pool Bar - Poolside bar offering snacks, drinks, and options from the room service menu. Open daily from mid-morning to late afternoon during the summer only.
The Rendezvous Observation City Hotel features a heated, outdoor lagoon-style pool with an adjacent spa and kid's wading pool. A poolside bar, serving drinks and snacks, operates during the summer months. There are two floodlit tennis courts, with complimentary racquets and balls available through the concierge. The fully equipped fitness centre is one of the largest hotel fitness centres in the city, with a separate weights room and steam rooms for men and women. The Rendezvous Observation City Hotel stands right on Scarborough Beach, which is renowned for its surfing, windsurfing, and kite surfing. Several shops along the waterfront, within a block of the hotel, offer equipment hire. A walking/cycling tracks travel from here along the coastline for 10 km. There is also a children's playground outside the hotel, on the edge of the beach. The nearest golfing is at Hammersely or Wembley Golf Courses, each less than 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel, while jet skiing and motor boating is available at Hillarys, a suburb just a 10 minute drive away. The nearest location for good scuba diving and snorkelling is Rottnest Island, a popular daytrip that can be reached by ferry from the city, departing Barrack Street Jetty. Whale-watching trips also leave the jetty. Also in the city centre, helicopter sightseeing tours are offered at Causeway. This hotel may have been three and a half stars ten years ago, but it is sorley in need of maintenance and updating now. We had to call housekeeping to clean our windows so we could see the view. It's no more than two stars.
