It had been years sice I was in NY and I recall my last hotel stay(s) were less then positive. However, from check-in to check-out I cannot think of any negative esxperience at the New York Palace. The location was excellant. The restaurant(s) and room service was pricy but lots of great places to eat in the area. The room had a great view, was well maintained and quite roomy. There was a discrepency on my bill at check-out that was immeidately resolved. I was so I would definitely stay at the Palace again.

We have stayed in NYC many times - the Westin at Times Sq., the Millennium, QT, but the Palace has by far been the most luxurious. The attention to detail, service and standards is by far the highest we've experienced. The staff are engaging and obliging. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and maintained to a very high standard. This is a busy hotel - the whole of the U.N. was there this week plus a few Prime Ministers and Presidents - but the staff take the time to treat you as an individual, and that's what makes the difference. The Executive Lounge staff were amazing - always welcoming and sociable, making sure that everything you needed was provided. Following a request for some bubble bath, we were presented with a large bag of Molton Brown toiletries. This hotel isn't cheap - it's a treat, and if you're visiting NYC on your honeymoon or for a special occasion, i'd highly suggest that you stay at the New York Palace. It'll make your trip one you'll really remember.

I wanted to treat my GF to a nice trip to New York and came across this hotel. I had never heard of it before but the details on this website and the proximity to the 5th Ave. shops were enough for me to book a room. The hotel staff was helpful and kind. We were blown away by the quality of the room we stayed in. King size bed with very comfortable pillows, a nice view of the city, a plasma TV, and a big bathroom. The room was bigger than I had imagined for a hotel in the city. The hotel is a block away from the 5th ave shops and it is only a 10-15 minute walk to times square. Please make sure to make good use of the concierge desk! They were very helpful and had quick answers to the questions I had. I considered the price of the hotel to be moderate, not at the top of my price range, but I was very happy I spent the extra money on this hotel. It was worth every cent! I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the New York Palace for 6 nights - beautiful lobby and surroundings and fantastic location for shops and sightseeing. Had a standard room which was very large compared to other hotels in NYC - also amazing view over St Patricks Cathedral. Hotel staff were very polite and welcoming but in a subtle way which was really great. Didn't eat at the hotel - wanted to book Gilt but unfortunately it was full up. Did have some drinks in the lobby/bar area which were nice but very expensive - $36 for a glass of wine and a beer - but it was the NY Palace so understandable prices.

The next day we went out early and left the light on for the room to be made up and when we returned at about 2pm the room had still not been made up. we finally called and then had to again go out while they did this.

This was a great hotel within walking distance of Times Square. Its right on Madison Ave were all the high end shops are and subway stations are just a block away. The walk to central park is not that bad either (15min max). My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights using our welcome rewards points so the stay was a bit sweeter. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. If you're going for a night out in the town, the staff will get a cab for you right outside the hotel. But if you can, try to walk instead of taking to many cabs, it can get expensive (although if your girl has on high heels, INVEST IN THE CAB!!!) Definetly would recommend this hotel to anybody.

I loved the hotel. Comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms. Beautiful lobby. Helpful staff at the door and the desk. My only complaint is that I needed to call room service for ice to be delivered, and once had to wait half an hour just for that. I found room service to be slow -- 45 to 50 minutes once -- considering the hotel is known for its service. And room service carts were not immediately removed from the hallway. Still, considering everything else the hotel offered, these are minor gripes.
