"upper mid town hotel"
Hotel is not bad for NY prices - can get busy with tourists. Rooms have recently been updated but are already starting to show through the "White Wash" upgrade treatments. Good Internet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"NYC Location Location Location"
Upon arrival from airport front desk reception agent offered to to check our bags and call us when room was available...which was only 15 minutes! She made us feel glad we had chosen the hotel. The room had been updated - but the iPhone cradle wouldn't fit into the bedside table; bathroom outlet almost came out when I unplugged he hairdryer; lighting […] was only so so. GREAT LOCATION, and but Personnel at check out seemed irritated when I mentioned the outlet problem- "Well, you should have called us" - I was not asking for a discount only answering when she asked if everything was to our liking. "I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL"
Hello, I had paid for a room with a Bathtub and they did not accommodate my reservation at all. Plus the Bath towels they had in the room were like sand paper and old. I will not go back at all.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, great Hotel"
This hotel is very good. We love to stay there, because the rooms are clean, the staff very thoughtful and the price is reasonable (for NY!). It would be even better if we had a little refrigerator in the room, but it is a small inconvenience... We will be back there!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't do iT"
The first night of our 4 night stay we were put in room right in front of the elevator, just horrible. you could hear all the people coming an going all night long! This is New York!!! So we kindly asked to be moved to a room that was not in front of the elevator, or the gym or the housekeeping that happened to knock something off their cart first thing […] in the morning on to our door!! So we were moved to a room to another floor right next to the service elevator!! Horrible!!! Staff and Hotel were nice... room left a lot to be desired. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent hotel, close to attractions"
The hotel was very nice. The staff were professional and accomodating. The rooms were spacious (for NYC) and the beds were very comfortable. I was struck by how quiet the hotel is - no noise from the street or hallways. It is close to Central Park and Times Square. Great restaurant too!Genuine Expedia guest review

Hotel ( lobby mainly) has been upgraded since last visit. Much brighter. Room was very quiet ( 9th flr) pleasant surprise. So convemient to subway...to city and bouroughs. Adjacent blocks plenty of decent delis and take out for breakfast etc. Close to Central Park. Nothing in NYC is actually affordable...so rates are par for the course..too much but […] very adequate room and again location. Predictable...which is a plus when travelling ! Would book again. "Great place for families!"
Hello, I recently stayed here with my partner and 6 1/2 month old infant. The hotel was extremely clean and the service was accommodating as well as fast. We got there a little earlier than checkin and decided to stop off our bags and head out to roam the area. There are many restaurants near (we settled for chipotle lunch and Thai dinner). They provided […] a pack & play for our baby to sleep in, which we added out own sheet and blanket to, just for safety. The wifi worked well on our Mac, however it did not work on our game system. They tried to help us but everything they did did not work to set up wifi on the x box. That was the least of our worries though. Overall, it's a great location, right next to cebtral park, restaurants, trains, banks, whatever you may need. I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, close to Central Park and Time Sq!"
This was my first trip to New York City and Park Central was a great decision that made my trip comfortable:) The staff was attentive and the Hotel was super clean. In one day, we jogged in Central Park, visited the S. of L., hung out in Time Square and watched Rock Of Ages, a broadway play! Good TimesGenuine Expedia guest review

Hotel was in great location, front desk, valet, concierge all very friendly and helpful. Cafe downstairs had great mix of snacks, sandwhiches, pastries, expreso...very good and convenient. It had an impressive bar, nice ambiance and cocktails. Only dislike was the elevators were slow. But I would definitely book again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"nice hotel close to central park and time square"
This hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean. Had a problem with water on the floor when showering because the shower has only a curtain and only a short edge on shower area, but other than that, the place was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
After a hard day when you arrived in your bedroom AT NIGHT, the room was a mess, nobody have been there to clean (lights on, window open, no towels, no soap, nothing …). I contacted the manager and she said "I'm sorry, we received more calls than usual and we didn't have enough time to clean all the bedrooms. I can give you a discount $100.00 !!!". When […] you decide to pay almost $300.00 for a bedroom, you don't want a mess and $100.00 back. you wish to have a nice and fresh place to enjoy and rest. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Yes. Just yes."
The lady and I stayed here one night and found their service and friendliness to be the best on three week two-way trip from TX to Cape Cod, MA, and then back down to TX. The convenience was beyond compare. The Valet service is a must, but was hassle free! They have full coverage insurance and are prompt about it with a genuine friendliness that was […] completely unexpected! The room was updated and clean. The bathroom was amazing and the bed... We could barely escape its comfort gravity well. It was almost sentient. You want to roll over? The bed is there for you, and welcomely accepts your shift with such subtle grace, you are completely unaware there was any opposing force against your body. As if it were a sort of cloud... Yes.. The bed is a sentient cloud of dreamy accommodation. I will sleep.. I mean stay here again. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Delightful, comfortable, great location"
Loved the location and super comfy beds - important after walking miles and miles in NYC. Extra nice perk - the toiletries from C.O. Bigelow down on 6th Ave in the Village. One complaint - what's up with the extra $21 on top of the Hotels.com fare for some "facilities charge"?Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great time, elevator service was scary and long wait..Genuine Expedia guest review
This was a fantastic hotel. Was in NYC to pick up my daughter from summer school. Place was great. Great location. Easy walk to park, shows, and Hells Kitchen restaurants. Upon arrival was offered an upgrade to a corner room for a very affordable amount. Looked right at Carnegie Hall. Loved it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charged "hotel fee" for no reason"
Overall, it's a decent hotel, except the view form our window which consisted of the wall of the building across and a little piece of the sky to recognize whether it's rain or shine. However, we were charged $20 hotel fee for the service we didn't request. Next morning I inquired the receptionist about this charge. The answer was "all hotel guests […] get charged". If it's true, why not to include $20 in the total price? That was quite disappointing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean hotel. Great location. Long wait to use elevators. Long wait to Check and to receive stored luggage. Will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I arrived at the Park Central Hotel and was immediately taken back by the pleasant smell of flowers and the gorgeous decor. My family and I were about 4 hours early for our check in time so our plan was to store our luggage while we went about our business. I was pleasantly surprised to find out our room was ready and we were able to check in, freshen […] up and prepare for our day. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and hotel is in a fantastic location with plenty of nearby parking. My only complaint is that it took about 10 minutes for an elevator to reach us on the 14th floor almost every time we called it. However, it won't sway from staying here again. I travel to NYC about 4 times a year for business reasons & have stayed in many hotels, this was one of my favorite by far and I will definitely be back. I would be happy to recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to NYC. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not the best"
I waited on line to check in. But that didn't matter, other people walked right up to the desk from every direction and were helped before me. RUDE. The wait time for the elevators was unacceptable. There seemed to be one elevator in a bank of 4 that was actually working. The same car would arrive at the floor full to capacity every time I called for […] it. After waiting for 3 trips- I was running late for a surprise party and had to squish my way in to an already full car. When arriving back from the party, I waited for 3 additional trips to go by in the same elevator car. The room was clean and organized (uncluttered). The AC was set to 72 when I arrived and it was very humid. I turned it to 68, that was comfortable, but at 5:19am it was back up to 72 and I woke up to turn it down (annoying). "Great, European style hotel near Times Square"
Picked this hotel on general price and location but was very pleasantly surprised by the level of luxury. "Basic, good location, nothing special"
This hotel was very basic - in terms of service and amenities. Its in a great, central location which is probably the best thing about it. The room was comfortable although I did find hair in my bed around 11:00pm, called the desk and they said they could give me extra sheets but that I would have to change them myself.....Genuine Expedia guest review

"Very poorly managed"
The reason I booked the hotel is due to they have room for three person. But at check in they told us only king bed no room for rollaway bed. Receptionist was very mean not helpful at all. The Beth room has strong unclean smell. Will definitely NOT stay at this hotel and tell friends not to stay there in future trip to NYC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"BEWARE of Hidden Charges!!! Horrible hotel!!"
For starters, the service is horrible. It's attitude from the moment you walk in. You pay thousands of dollars to a hotel who acts like they're doing you a favor to have you there... The entire front desk staff and management needs to be fired and re-trained. Then there is the matter of their newly established "resort fee" which is basically a hidden […] fee of an additional $20 per a night that they stick you with at the end. They are the ONLY hotel in the city who does this. No shame. This is in order to help cover their costs of renovations, however, they've already raised their nightly rates so to be honest, its just greed. Finally, our booking was for a king size bed, however instead they gave us two queen beds, which they claim was an upgrade, but who needs the second bed? Me and my girlfriend would have been much more comfortable in a large king... The next day when we asked to be changed back to a king room, they told us we need to check out, leave our luggage upfront, wait four hours on the streets before the next room would be available.... Which is RIDICULOUS! They could have easily finished cleaning the King room, had us switch, then went off to clean the Queen room... Why put your paying customers on the streets? Why the attitude too? Horrible experience... Bottom line: There are MUCH MUCH better hotels in the city, with better attitude towards the customer, with must better rates, larger rooms and more convenient locations. Avoid this one at all costs... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Park Central New York Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am so sorry to hear of your disappointing stay with us. Our mandatory Facilities Fee of $20 plus taxes per night is sometimes referred to as a “Resort Fee” on third party sites, such as Hotels.com. We have gone to great lengths to make the Facilities Fee very transparent on third party sites, and I am so sorry this was not thoroughly communicated to you prior to making your reservations. I am also highly disappointing is that you did not review outstanding service from our Team Members. Please be assured that all of your feedback has been shared with our Management Team, so we can work hard to correct our shortcomings. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back, and turn this experience around for you. Best Regards, Don Fraser General Manager
