Friendly staff, clean room, gave a 3 on condition as the patio door to yard was a bear to close as it appears door roller was worn out or missing. The fan in the bath didn't work and bath steamed up during shower. Didn't get a chance to use pool, but looked clean and had a nice setup with hot tub and indoor patio area. Beautiful room with all amenities and nice breakfast for a reasonable price. Our only complaint was the noise from the housekeeper in the next room at 8:45 am.

The rooms were not very sound proof, we could hear the toilet flushing in the room above us as well as walking across the floor all night long. The roof in the pool/spa area leaked. The heater did not work correctly, up all night adjusting it. the nightlight in the bathroom did not work. the fact that you had to LEAVE the hotel to get to the pool/spa […] area and the breakfast dining was a bit much. In the summer this might not be a big deal, but in the winter it's not very convenient. Maintenance outside the door at 10 p.m scraping and shoveling. I know it needs to be done, but it was annoying. Hotel was wonderful. Great big room, indoor pool, sauna and community area were very enjoyable and conducive to a relaxing apres ski stay. Hot breakfast with multiple options was an unexpected delight. Front desk personel were exrtremely helpful with pre-arrival concerns and were exceptionally accomodating. Thank you all so much.

Our room was beautiful and beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room so we can do some food shopping to save on eating out costs. My wife recently had foot surgery so they gave us a handicap room with handicap bathroom which made it easier for her. My 2 children enjoyed theindoor pool outside our room which […] made it easy for my wife to watch them in the pool as she didn't have to walk far. It was nice having the pool open until 10PM since most nights we returned to the hotel late and it allowed my children to still use the pool before they went to bed each night. The all you can eat free breakfast buffet was a big plus as it allowd us to have a big breakfast which lasted us all day. The only problem we had was we really wanted to use the free canoes, rowboats and paddleboats available to guests but my wife could not get down the grassy hill to the boat dock, especially when the grass was wet every morning. It would have been much easier if there was a ramp so that she could get down to the boating area. We ended up giving up on trying to get my wife to the boats because it proved just a little too difficult. Hopefully next time she'll be much better on her feet so we will be able to use the boats, but the hotel should think about making the boats more accessible to the handicapped. If it were not for this one issue I would have given the hotel a 5 rating. We will definitely return on our next visit to Lake Placid. Read more

Upon check-in, we were asked if we would like a room closer to the pool. We were told there was a wedding reception that would go until 10Pm. That was okay with us. When we got to our room, we had two double beds, not the two queen beds I had paid for.We did not realize this until we went to get into bed, and were not pleased. The noise from other guests […] on our floor went on and on, and instead of the staff coming up to check on the compaints, they called our room and woke us all up. Nice clean basic hotel. Good location 3 miles from town of Lake George. Good restaurants nearby, also convenient to Glens Falls and Six Flags Great Escape. Free breakfast saved time and money in the morning.

very nice, clean, relatively modern hotel. located just past the center of town. On the main highway but I did not hear any noise. Room was clean and well kept. No flat screen tv though. Only complaint was that the balcony light could not be turned off ,and thus the room was not as dark as I would have liked.

It was a very nice place with a view of the pool. We had adjoining rooms so that made it handy with the kids. The electronic keys could have been better but we worked out well. Good breakfast and poolside pub, pool and hot tub were very welcome after skiing in the cold.

huge comfortable rooms with a balcony, very clean and roomy bathroom. We liked the fact that the room has a fridge, microwaves oven and a coffee maker. We also appreciated the indoor pool and whirlpool after a long drive. The continental breakfast was pretty good, served in a big room by the pool. And the views from the balcony were superb, overlooking […] the lake. Even though the hotel is not in the village, it is only a few minutes away by car and there are some restaurants and bars nearby, on the same road. The hotel was slightly off the beaten path from the main shopping and tourist areas of the Lake Placid which made it a quieter, less congested location. It was very convenient to restaurants, grocery and drug stores. Some within walking distance. We went for a canoe ride on the lake. Row boats and paddle boats were also available compliments of the […] hotel. The continental breakfast at the hotel had a lot of variety or you could walk to the Howard Johnson restaurant next door for breakfast. Our only negative comments would be the air conditioner in our room was quite loud but we needed it as the weather was very hot that week. We went to the Howard Johnson restaurant for dinner one night but decided not to go for breakfast. It didn't seem very clean and there were flies on the salad bar. The hotel area is quite hilly and some people might find this a problem but you can drive to other parts of the facility like the pool and breakfast area. We were able to park right outside our door which we really liked. All in all we had a nice stay and would definitely go back. Read more
