I chose this hotel because i needed a place to stay after my flight arrived past midnight. First, the clerk didn't answer the phone multiple times when i tried calling for the free shuttle to pick me up from the airport. At 2am when you're exhausted from a long flight, this can be very annoying. Anyways, the room was clean and warm. We stayed here because we had an extremely early morning flight. The young man at the check in desk was so friendly, funny, and helpful. He made us feel right at home immediately! The room was so attractive, comfortable and clean. The bed was so comfortable we got a really good night sleep which was important since we had to get up so early. The breakfast […] started at 6 AM so we weren't able to try it since we had to leave at 3:30 AM. But even that early they had muffins and coffee and tea in the lobby that you could take with you. As soon as I walked into the room, the lighting was so poor so it gave me a bad feeling from the start. It was very dark, and the door did not seem very safe, as it was loose. The toilet was either not cleaned or badly stained with brown and red stains. The shower did not drain, and I was not about to put my hand down there to check out the situation. The title really says it all. The hotel is nice for an airport centric hotel. The free breakfast is really tasty, the beds and rooms are comfortable. The interior is a bit shabby for being a fairly new hotel, but we did see a lot of work being done while we were there--so the hotel might just be in the middle of some touch ups and I shouldn't judge. […] The real issue was the service. I had reserved a King bed for my wife and I. We get there and we have 2 double beds. When I asked about this at the front desk, I was essentially brushed off with a "Well this is what we have." A few days later the lock on my door wasn't working--no big deal, I'll just tell the front desk that I cannot get into my room. I was promised by the front desk clerk that he would be right up to fix it, so I headed up to my room. Fifteen minutes later I went back to the front desk. When I went to the very same clerk he asked me "Can I help you?" "Yes...the lock on room 605?" "What about it?" He quite literally forgot about me as soon as I was out of sight. "Don't count on the shuttle"
I contacted the hotel (they were very nice on the phone) to get the shuttle from the airport - I told him I'd be about 10 minutes. He told me to call back after getting my baggage - so, I called (9 minutes later) and the phone rang 72 times - no answer. I stood in the cold and wind and finally got someone on the phone (another 5 minute wait) and asked […] for the shuttle - again. 20 minutes later I called and asked where they were and he said "the driver said he's out about 10 minutes." After another 15 minutes I ended up getting a cab. I checked in, my room was ok, but the window was facing the indoor pool and patio tables and I was on the first floor, so a bit awkward. I went to the bar area, but there was no one there. I had to check with the front desk to see if anyone was working. Before leaving my room for dinner, I turned the heat up as the room was cold.... when I returned an hour later it was still cold. I turned the heat up to 80, then 82, then 85.... nothing. I went to the front desk to let them know and he asked how long I'd be staying and he'd call maintenance to come out the next day.... Oh, then he asked... "do you need more blankets?" Very reasonable price, but quite a distance from the airport. There were several parties, which I could only assume were bachelor parties, which created a lot of noise. Hotel advertised shuttle service to/from local train station and to/from airport but they couldn't keep up with demand the five days we were there. There were long waits to be picked up from the station (30 minutes at 10pm) and they couldn't fit all guests on the shuttle.
