"The Front Desk brought the score WAY down"
In a two day period, I had to switch my room 4 times. First time was because they didn't have the room available I requested (only King beds, no doubles) - they put me in a room with a pullout couch and king. The next day they made me move rooms because they had to hang a piece of artwork in it..?! So they move me to another room, I arrive and the room […] hasn't been cleaned yet. They move me again, and I settle in. I leave for the day and come back and the lock on the door doesn't work. That DEFINITLEY doesn't work for a single girl traveling, and especially not in the area the hotel is in. So they moved me again. The Housekeeping, Breakfast server, Shuttle Drivers, and Habachi Rest staff were all SUPERB. The front desk drove me INSANE. They did not have their stuff together. Oh - and don't be fooled by the close proximity to the airport. Mile wise yes, drive time NO. Came to this hotel on a business trip because of its supposed proximity to the airport. Mostly negative for this hotel: 1) Despite its name, the hotel is 15 minutes away from the airport. Even worse, each time i asked whether the hotel shuttle dropped off at the airport, i got different answers (one person said it didn't and made me go to another stop […] (wonderland), whereas another staff member at a different time said it did and had the shutle sent to pick me up) 2) A loud standalone air conditioning unit with a large exposed duct ran through the bedroom, probably indicating that the in-wall unit was insufficient to cool the room down. However, in almost every hotel I have been in, the cleaning staff changes all of the towels anyway. The hotel wasn't the memorable part of our experience; rather, it was the shuttle service, which was the worst I've ever encountered. Arriving into Boston late at night, we called the hotel for a pick-up and were told the shuttle was actually at the airport and would be at our terminal momentarily. After a 30+ minute wait, we called the hotel again […] and was told "it's almost there." After yet ANOTHER 30+ minutes, we called a third time and was told "oh, the van got full and left the airport." This, after waiting for over an HOUR. We finally were told to take a taxi and the hotel would reimburse us, which was another experience altogether. We've stayed here several times, but after this last experience, when it felt like we were not at all valued as customers, we will never stay here again. The non-descript location at the edge of a shopping center in Revere results in a great break on the price, yet is still convenient to Logan airport (about 10 minutes) and to downtown Boston and Charleston (ca. 15 min by car depending on time of day, traffic, tolerance for paying tolls, etc.). It is also located close to the T blue line. It offers free, […] 24 hr shuttle service to the airport and T-line station. A plus is that the shuttle drivers are very accommodating, and willing to drive to local restaurants, rental car agencies, etc. The complimentary breakfast is substantial, e.g., in addition to the usual continental fare offering eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, fresh melon and pineapple - perhaps not gourmet but very adequate. Room, a standard double, was clean, well cared for, adequate size, w/ two dble beds (not queens) small refer and microwave. Pool and workout facilities are small but functional. All-in-all, a quite good deal for the price. Other similar E. Boston and Logan airport hotels I've patronized have had better appointed lobbies and common areas, more professional, albeit no more friendly or accommodating staff and better locations, but for significantly more money and no breakfast. We flew into Boston arriving at 2:45am. We called for the shuttle and it arrived about twenty minutes later. The drive to the hotel took about 12 minutes, at 3am. I imagine if it was the middle of the day with traffic it could take much longer... Anyway I knew it was a distance, but it was almost 90$ less than any of the other hotels. Our room was clean […] and very quiet. The staff wasn't particularly helpful, I wish the woman at the desk had told me about the free breakfast. Unfortunately I stumbled upon it right at 10am when it was getting cleaned up. There were people all over the lobby doing work and we never saw the pool. I stayed at this Hotel earlier this month because I was taking my boyfriend to Logan the next day. The price was very reasonable for being so close to the airport. The reconstruction was just about done when we got there. We could enter thru the front lobby, every thing looked great. The front desk people were very professional & helpful. The only downside […] was the pool was still being worked on, there were people still painting and the pool wasn't heated. The people doing the painting were very nice, they moved their stuff so we could use the pool. The Hibachi Grill was very good but a bit expensive. There isn't enough nice things I could say about the shuttle service. They were prompt in coming to pick us up at 3:30 am to take us to Logan, the trip took 15 - 20 minutes to get there. I sent my boyfriend off to china and I then called the Hotel to have a shuttle come and pick me back up. The front desk representative was very nice in letting me know where I needed to go to get picked up and they were there within 20 minutes again and this was at 6 am at this point. The continental breakfast was very good. It wasn't that normal bagesl and pastries that you normally get. There was eggs, bacon, sausage, french test and much more. If I had to rate the hotel . I would rate it @ 3.5 or less. out of 5.00 . Hotel is in an okay area of Boston Suburb. Revere for Bostonians is not a great part of the city to stay in. Facalities are okay for the place. Also, for the same price I would stay at comfort inn.. few miles down the road. especially if you want to visit Boston city via subway. […] They drop you and pick you up @ the airport subway on the blue line , which is great location. Four points would only drop and pickup you @ wonderland station which is okay station in not so good part of town. In our case there was a construction going on sunday, so subway's last stop was airport location.
