"Revision - Wonderful Stay"
09/11/14 eyelovetotraveltwo Rio Rancho, New Mexico
My husband and I travel to Hillsboro for business quite often. This hotel is our second home when we are here. If it were possible, I would give this hotel a rating of exceptional for customer service alone. We usually stay in a one-bedroom suite complete with a sitting area with sofa, desk and a full kitchen. The hotel will be undergoing renovations soon, but the rooms are currently in very good condition with all the comforts of home. There is a full-sized refrigerator, stove (four burners and oven), dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, pots and pans, dinnerware and utensils. There are also barbeque grills available and they are always very clean. The fitness center has one treadmill and two elliptical machines, a weight bench, yoga mats, exercise balls and a set of small hand weights/dumbbells. All of the equipment is well maintained. There is an on-site laundry room with three washers and three dryers for your convenience. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. Although I have never used the swimming pool, there are always people swimming in it (summer months) and maintenance keeps it and the two hot tubs well-maintained. Every morning, there is a hot breakfast available just off of the lobby and all of the items look and smell amazing. They have cereal and juices too. Due to my dietary needs, I prepare my meals in my suite, otherwise I would eat breakfast here every day. The staff members working in the kitchen are very pleasant and always greet us and make us feel at home. Almost every Monday and Wednesday and every other Tuesday there is an evening social with “snacks”, beer and wine. The snacks, most days, are a full meal with things like pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, tacos or barbeque. Some nights it’s just cheese and crackers and who doesn’t love cheese and crackers? There is a movie theater across the street and they have bargain prices on Tuesdays. All of the latest movies play there. Within walking distance are several great places to eat and shop. The TriMet system (train/buses etc.) is easy to get to and very affordable ($5 for a one day pass includes trains and buses). This is very useful to get to and from the airport and to places like downtown Portland, the zoo, Japanese and rose gardens. There are a couple of beautiful, scenic walking paths in the area (of the hotel) as well. Overall, a very nice, clean and convenient hotel. The hotel housekeeping staff are wonderful. I can’t say enough great things about the housekeeping staff. They are professional yet friendly and my room is always clean and well stocked with the items I need. As I mentioned, the grounds are immaculate and the guys who do all of the maintenance wear many different hats. They are always very busy but never too busy to stop and greet you with a smile and a friendly hello. I look forward to seeing them all every day. Daytime front desk staff are also very friendly, helpful and pleasant. They are a wealth of information for things to do in the area and good places to eat. Just this year, the hotel acquired a new general manager. This man is truly an amazing individual, to say the very least! He does a phenomenal job and he bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. I have never received more professional, courteous customer service from anyone anywhere in the world and, believe me, we’ve done some traveling. He made me feel like I was important and welcome at Residence Inn. All hotels (and businesses for that matter) would enjoy a much better reputation if they were represented by somebody like him. THANK YOU, Joe. You are the epitome of customer care and service. You not only succeeded in making our stay absolutely perfect, you succeeded in making it exceptional! We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
"Not a bad stay-Mgmt just needs to work on some things"

My wife and I stayed in room 422 8/12-8/14/14 & this was the 2nd time we've been here. First time was great. This 2nd stay left a little to be desired. Wifi was intermittent & not reliable, being down often. Ft ofc said they were changing out to a new wifi. Our in-room phone did not work upon arrival (later repaired), our door key cards didn't work because the batteries in the door were dead (later repaired), there were several light bulbs out in the unit (later repaired), tenants below us were very loud, banging doors & cupboards and left their fans on in the bathroom even when they were not there. We called the ofc but this was never totally resolved. On 8/14, housekeeping never showed to clean our unit. When I caught housekeeping about 4:30pm they said no, it was too late. I finally talked them into leaving fresh towels and straightening the beds. They were not very happy campers! Although this is a nice place and the amenities are great & the front office staff are wonderful, the jury is still out if we will return next year. Maybe it was an anomaly this time, but it sure didn't feel good to us.
"Another great Residence Inn"

Booked a 2-bedroom suite for my wife and kids at this hotel. Check-in was friendly, the room was spacious (although of the older décor). Bottom line - the 2-bedroom was incredibly spacious for us. Kids loved the pool and the sports court. We all enjoyed our breakfast each morning and one evening, we BBQ'd by the pool. The hotel is located right next to plenty of shopping and the highway that takes you out to the Coast. To downtown Portland was about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. All-in-all - great hotel!

Very well kept and maintained facility. The two bedroom suite was a surprise upgrade that made the stay that more enjoyable. The breakfast had several options, but was crowded due to being there over the weekend. The front desk staff were helpful in identifying places to visit nearby.
"Never let me down"

Thought this Residence Inn might let me down, but it didn't. The first night of our stay we suffered from smell of smoke in our room, which could be left by previous guest. The next morning Devon with front desk tried his best to solved the problem and make us feel cared and comfortable. It turned out to be another enjoyable stay with Marriott. Thanks!

Beautiful rooms, very well-maintained. Excellent breakfast, lots of nearby restaurants. Ended up here by chance via an $82 Express Deal on Priceline. This was on a Thursday night in July. Very fortunate as rack rates are $299 and up. Great option, especially if staying multiple days as the rooms have nice kitchens. The outdoor pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature and not busy at all. The setup is like detached condominiums, giving it an almost "resort-like" feel. On a 5-week road trip, this was by far the nicest property at which we stayed. Well done, Marriott!
"Very Happy We Chose To Stay Here"

Stayed here for the week-end with another couple. We each had our own bedroom and private bathrooms, separated by the living room and kitchen. Both bedrooms had a TV and nice closet space. The living room had a sofa bed, a chair, a nice fireplace, a desk and chair. The kitchen came well equipped for 4. A stove, dishwasher, full size refrigerator/freezer. We left our morning coffee cups in the sink and the cleaning lady did our dishes! The breakfast was really good. A huge selection, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes, waffles and various toppings, breads and muffins, fruit, cereal, milk, juices coffee and tea. The pool was nice and the grounds are really nice and shady. It's quiet and in a very convenient location. The front desk (Lea) was so friendly and helpful. The interior is a little dated but no big deal. We will make sure to stay here again anytime we need to stay in the Portland area.
"Very good. "

The location of the hotel was convenient. Close to a Standford's, Sweet Tomatoes, Trader Joe's and a small market. Fairly close to Washington Square. Breakfast was good. The small kitchen was very convenient because we could store food leftovers or food from the store. We also had plates, cups, and silverware. Bathroom had an odd design (they gave us the handicapped room so we had a spacey room.) One thing I would complain about is that their was constant noise from the people above us walking ( we were on the bottom floor) Housekeeping was very good. Overall, I would come back.
"Our Favorite Location in Hillsboro"
06/19/14 fjf470 St. George, Utah
We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years and consistently found it to be excellent. We love that the rooms are spread out with none more than two story with good walking paths throughout the facility. Their lobby and breakfast area are large with lots of windows and light. The entire facility is very well maintained and very clean. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable and quiet. Even when we have been on the first floor of one of the buildings, we have not heard the upstairs people. The breakfasts are great and vary each morning. We plan on returning whenever they have rooms available! There are lots of eating places very close; a theater across the street and even a Trader Joes within walking distance.
"A very warm welcome and a great place to stay"
06/15/14 Alista463 St. Albans, United Kingdom
I come to Hillsboro from the UK about 3-4 times a year and always stay at the Residence Inn. You can guarantee a warm welcome (no matter what time of the day or night you arrive), a lovely clean suite, helpful and friendly staff, free Wi-Fi and a good selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many big stores (Target and Best Buy to name just a couple), some decent places to eat (Stamfords and Five Guys) and is situated just across the road from a movie theatre. I am more than happy to recommend this hotel
