"Good location, close to shopping."
Hotel looked new and clean on the exterior, the interior was older and worn. The bathroom definitely needs updating (fixtures falling off the wall, very cracked tile, etc). Bed excellent and plenty of room in the suite. Staff was extremely friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice area, lots to do. Great restaurants and amenties.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best staff ever!!!"
Breakfast staff is the best in the game! The office staff is very helpful, caring and hospitable. Great afternoon/evening snack and drink social. Rooms are always very clean and never any problems! It's a pleasure staying here and I highly recommend!
"A good place to stay"

I'm taking a class in Hillsboro over a couple of weekends and we needed a place to stay overnight. We have always found Residence Inns to be clean and comfortable and this one is no exception. The kitchenette is well stocked, the wifi is free and the floor plan is excellent. I especially like that there is a door on the bedroom that allows someone to sleep without lights from the other rooms disturbing them. The staff is friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night and occupied a 2 bedroom suite. The suite was very clean and nice floor plan. The breakfast the following morning was prepared nicely, well organized and tasted great. I would recommend this hotel. The entire property was very well maintained.

I enjoyed my stay here immensely. I had a suite and it was very clean and comfortable. While not many frills, the kitchenette was well stocked with eating and cooking utensils. There was a huge refrigerator that made it perfect for families. There was also a nice complimentary breakfast each morning that was a mix of hot and cold items. The variety was sufficient and the staff very courteous and helpful. My only negative comment is the layout of the bathroom. Not a good idea to have the sink outside of the bathroom in the bedroom area! That said, I would definitely recommend and return! It is classic, clean and budget friendly.
"As good as promised."

Just as all the reviews I read before selecting this location, our stay was so enjoyable because of the room. We had a two bedroom suite. The room was very clean and with the kitchen, it was all we needed. I asked for an upper floor, and though out room wasn't ready when we arrived, the front desk staff went the extra measure and found a room that was ready. Our room was very quiet. Because of the size of the complex, it seemed more like an apartment complex than a hotel, but that only added to the peace and quiet. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, as well as a Trader Joe's across the street! Highly, highly recommend this Residence Inn.
"Wonderful staff & great home away from home"

My husband and I had a last minute change of itinerary and decided to stay in the Hillsboro area; we were so pleased to have found the Residence Inn. First of all, we were very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and our room. But, what really impressed us the most was the management and staff. Unfortunately, I have some health issues that create challenges for us while travelling (sensitivities to strong cleaning products, etc.). The general manager, Joe, went “above and beyond” to make sure our room was comfortable and safe for me, and from the moment we checked in he and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. And, also unfortunately, my husband had a small accident while unloading our luggage from our car that created a wound that required some immediate attention. One of staff by the parking lot came running to our assistance. By the time we reached our room Joe and many of his staff appeared with bandages, ice, and offered to help in any way they could; their gracious concern was genuine, exceptional, and greatly appreciated. This general manager and his team do a great job of representing the Residence Inn/Marriott organization. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
"Revision - Wonderful Stay"

My husband and I travel to Hillsboro for business quite often. This hotel is our second home when we are here. If it were possible, I would give this hotel a rating of exceptional for customer service alone. We usually stay in a one-bedroom suite complete with a sitting area with sofa, desk and a full kitchen. The hotel will be undergoing renovations soon, but the rooms are currently in very good condition with all the comforts of home. There is a full-sized refrigerator, stove (four burners and oven), dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, pots and pans, dinnerware and utensils. There are also barbeque grills available and they are always very clean. The fitness center has one treadmill and two elliptical machines, a weight bench, yoga mats, exercise balls and a set of small hand weights/dumbbells. All of the equipment is well maintained. There is an on-site laundry room with three washers and three dryers for your convenience. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. Although I have never used the swimming pool, there are always people swimming in it (summer months) and maintenance keeps it and the two hot tubs well-maintained. Every morning, there is a hot breakfast available just off of the lobby and all of the items look and smell amazing. They have cereal and juices too. Due to my dietary needs, I prepare my meals in my suite, otherwise I would eat breakfast here every day. The staff members working in the kitchen are very pleasant and always greet us and make us feel at home. Almost every Monday and Wednesday and every other Tuesday there is an evening social with “snacks”, beer and wine. The snacks, most days, are a full meal with things like pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, tacos or barbeque. Some nights it’s just cheese and crackers and who doesn’t love cheese and crackers? There is a movie theater across the street and they have bargain prices on Tuesdays. All of the latest movies play there. Within walking distance are several great places to eat and shop. The TriMet system (train/buses etc.) is easy to get to and very affordable ($5 for a one day pass includes trains and buses). This is very useful to get to and from the airport and to places like downtown Portland, the zoo, Japanese and rose gardens. There are a couple of beautiful, scenic walking paths in the area (of the hotel) as well. Overall, a very nice, clean and convenient hotel. The hotel housekeeping staff are wonderful. I can’t say enough great things about the housekeeping staff. They are professional yet friendly and my room is always clean and well stocked with the items I need. As I mentioned, the grounds are immaculate and the guys who do all of the maintenance wear many different hats. They are always very busy but never too busy to stop and greet you with a smile and a friendly hello. I look forward to seeing them all every day. Daytime front desk staff are also very friendly, helpful and pleasant. They are a wealth of information for things to do in the area and good places to eat. Just this year, the hotel acquired a new general manager. This man is truly an amazing individual, to say the very least! He does a phenomenal job and he bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. I have never received more professional, courteous customer service from anyone anywhere in the world and, believe me, we’ve done some traveling. He made me feel like I was important and welcome at Residence Inn. All hotels (and businesses for that matter) would enjoy a much better reputation if they were represented by somebody like him. THANK YOU, Joe. You are the epitome of customer care and service. You not only succeeded in making our stay absolutely perfect, you succeeded in making it exceptional! We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
"Not a bad stay-Mgmt just needs to work on some things"

My wife and I stayed in room 422 8/12-8/14/14 & this was the 2nd time we've been here. First time was great. This 2nd stay left a little to be desired. Wifi was intermittent & not reliable, being down often. Ft ofc said they were changing out to a new wifi. Our in-room phone did not work upon arrival (later repaired), our door key cards didn't work because the batteries in the door were dead (later repaired), there were several light bulbs out in the unit (later repaired), tenants below us were very loud, banging doors & cupboards and left their fans on in the bathroom even when they were not there. We called the ofc but this was never totally resolved. On 8/14, housekeeping never showed to clean our unit. When I caught housekeeping about 4:30pm they said no, it was too late. I finally talked them into leaving fresh towels and straightening the beds. They were not very happy campers! Although this is a nice place and the amenities are great & the front office staff are wonderful, the jury is still out if we will return next year. Maybe it was an anomaly this time, but it sure didn't feel good to us.
"Another great Residence Inn"

Booked a 2-bedroom suite for my wife and kids at this hotel. Check-in was friendly, the room was spacious (although of the older décor). Bottom line - the 2-bedroom was incredibly spacious for us. Kids loved the pool and the sports court. We all enjoyed our breakfast each morning and one evening, we BBQ'd by the pool. The hotel is located right next to plenty of shopping and the highway that takes you out to the Coast. To downtown Portland was about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. All-in-all - great hotel!

Very well kept and maintained facility. The two bedroom suite was a surprise upgrade that made the stay that more enjoyable. The breakfast had several options, but was crowded due to being there over the weekend. The front desk staff were helpful in identifying places to visit nearby.
