The Hilton Garden Inn is a great place to stay. We had a very nice room with a computer desk a great chair and ottoman and king size bed. Everything was very clean and nice. Would definitely go there again.

Only problem we had was actually finding the hotel. It's hidden behind the trees behind a furniture store. There is no street or road front sign anywhere - at least none we could see. We actually thought the GPS had taken us to the wrong location until we turned around &caught a glimpse of the building sign through the trees. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again next time we're in the area.

Exactly what you would expect from a Red Roof Inn - decent beds, nice staff members and moderate breakfast in the morning. Also cracks in the tiles, shower that you cannot adjust and dents in the desks and dressers. But if you want to pay $50 more - go stay at the Hampton Inn! If however you are like my family of five and = want a safe, friendly and clean hotel right off the 95 that is extremely affordable, then this is the place for you!

This is by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. Beautiful grounds - beautiful pool area. Easy access to the beach. The staff was wonderful and... kind. Ben (at check in) was the sweetest and most charming check-in person I have ever encountered! His delightfulness made me feel really happy - he puts a smile on your face for sure! They were ALL very helpful any time we had a question or needed help with things. The bed was GREAT and very comfortable. Ocean Front room was a delight with a great view and balcony. Bathroom was also very nice and clean. The only complaint we had was that there is no microwave in the room for heating up breakfast, leftovers from dinner, or water from home. We really wanted a microwave but there was not one in the rooms. Other than that, this was the best and most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. HIGHLY recommend! by Sue from SC on 05/25/13

This will be a really nice place to stay in a few months. But don't stay there now! It is under a 30m renovation and there is construction going on everywhere......pool...lobby....rooms. The noise is awful. We were not told on the phone that there was any construction!

I give such high marks because of the high quality of customer service I received. As I was about to check in the lady at the front desk said the hotel was full so they were going to offer me a 2 bedroom villa w/kitchenette, slightly off sight from the hotel. No extra charge. She then left, returned and said 2 rooms had just opened, 1 was an ocean view […] room, she told me I could still take the villa or the ocean view room, again at no extra charge. I took the ocean view room which turned out to have been recently renovated. This has to be the best deal I have ever lucked into, the view from the balcony was very nice and the staff was so gracious throughout my say I can't say enough. Read more

Our multi-million dollar renovation is underway and includes all new guest room finishes and furnishings, the lobby, restaurants, meeting space, outside courtyard, etc. At all times, we are isolating project areas to minimize any guest inconvenience. Some of our newly transformed guest rooms are available for our guests to experience, and the response has been overhwelmingly positive. I was sorry to learn that your room service experience was not timely, and be assured we have addressed the training issues with the staff to ensure this does not occur in the future. Beautiful hotel, but Expedia and Westin both neglected to mention it was undergoing extensive renovations. Only half the hotel was available, including only 2 of 4 restaurants. The hot-tub and and pools were inaccessible due to the construction, and getting to the beach was running a gauntlet around construction barriers. Hotel was going through renovations, but our room had already been renovated. We only heard the noise of the construction when we were outside and it was minimum. Everything was absolutely wonderful.

We weren't in the hotel for long so didn't get to enjoy all the facilities. But we do intend on returning so we can explore the area more and take advantage of the pool area, beach and local attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

We found lots of mold on bedding. Stains on the sofa and carpet. Appearance of hotel and location was nice but for a quality hotel it did not meet its expectation.We would not stay again at this hotel

Our stay on the Island was nice, however in the morning we had alot of doors slamming which woke up my little daughter. our room was next to the service room for housekeeping and the staff was in and out every few minutes. Other than that it was fine.

Everyone of the staff we met was personable and wanting to please. The access to the beach could not be better. Breakfast was excellent, but the supper menu was limited. Underground parking was set up perfectly with elevator access directly from the room.

We had a very nice time at the hotel. The whole area is beautiful. The room was great and the beds and linens were fantastic. The hallway carpet was a bit shabby and in need of updating. I was disappointed in not being able to use the refrigerators in the rooms. It seems rather odd that they are in your room and you are not able to use them. I think […] they need to mark the outside doors that lead you to the elevator coming in from the pool and beach. At 1:00 in the morning, one of the after wedding parties moved their party into the room beside us which was an adjoining room. It was sooo loud. The resort is nice and the rooms are good. The resort fee charged is primarily for parking & towels. Wireless was not working in our room and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Front desk didn't seem too responsive to our issue.

I was on vacation to see my son, grandson and daughter-in-law in Sylvania, GA. We went to Hilton Head when he got married 5 years ago. Unfortunately we didn't stay in The Westin Hilton Head Island resort and spa before and I am sorry we didn't. We really loved the oceanside and the atomosphere of the hotel. It was clean, beautiful decor, pleasant staff […] and an overall wonderful experience. In fact we are already talking about planning a vacation for a week at the resort and spa next year. The only thing that they weren't accomandating on was I had asked if we could have two beds instead of one king size which they said they didn't have one available, but they gave use a roll out which was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Let me start this off with, I am typically an easy to please traveller. I booked this room for a weekend getaway and was looking forward to a lazy weekend on the beach and in a comfy room with a little room service. At check-in I was informed that the front desk personnel needed to "check on the status of my room" which I thought was strange since I […] was checking in at 8 PM. When she returned several minutes later she informed me that I was getting an upgrade to a villa, but the villa is two streets away from the main hotel, requiring use of a shuttle to get to the beach! The villa looked and smelled like it had not been used much since the early 80's. I was disappointed as this was not what I expected. I called the manager who explained that some of their rooms had to be shut down for renovations unexpectedly and that is why I got the so-called "upgrade." At my request they agreed to move me back to the main hotel the next morning, which I gladly accepted and after a night in my "upgrade" villa, I was informed that my new room was ready at 10 AM the next day. The condition of my room in the main hotel was okay, again old and appeared to have undergone minimal restoration to call itself a "Westin" hotel. The mini fridge was labeled as a "storage box" and did not have power or the ability to cool food or drinks (strange). Overall, staff was pleasant, and the beach/pool area was beautiful. Next time though, I will save my money and stay at the Marriot! Read more

Staff was friendly. Good location to beach. Easy in-out self parking. Egg white omelette at Carolina Cafe very good. Quality of food at pool marginal for the price. Refrigerator left outside our room for two days before housekeeping removed. Carpet in hallway and room in need of replacement. Toilet in room constantly dripping. Our room on 3rd level […] overlooked a roof; workers repairing roof with no notification to us, compromising or privacy. Not all elevators working causing a backup most of the time.
