"An awesome choice after a long drive"
04/04/15 Diane G Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
After a 10 hour drive it was a welcome sight. I called ahead and Andrew booked us a beautiful room. The room was spotless and brand new and the bed was sooo comfortable. It first you are wondering if there is a hotel down the dark road but its really only minutes off the highway. I would stay here again!
"Our second visit was not as good as our first."

We have stayed at this hotel once before and absolutely loved it! The first time we only stayed one night, but enjoyed it so much we booked two nights this time. Upon check in, we noticed that our room smelled must and smokey, despite requesting a smoke free room. I called down to front desk and they said that it was because our room was the last in a line of non smoking and that the 10 rooms after ours were all smoking rooms. I specified in our reservation that I have asthma and could not be need cigarette smoke. Their solution was to sprinkle arm and hammer on the rug and vacuum it to lessen the smell. In 2014, why do smoking rooms even exist? It is a proven fact that 2nd hand smoke travels through vents. I honestly an dumbfounded that smoking in a hotel room is even still allowed. Breakfast was awful. We actually ended up going to Eat n Park instead because there wasn't much to eat and what was there looked gross. The breakfast area smelled like rotten eggs. Not exactly appetizing. The pool was FREEZING! It was like jumping into a pool full of ice cubes. It's a shame because previously, the pool had been our favorite part of the hotel. We will be staying elsewhere the next time we visit Grove City.

Very good service the only problem was that house keeping didn't clean our rooms that is what I had a problem with I didn't appreciate it but the pool was nice and clean and wasn't cold like other pools the jacuzzi was amazing it felt like you could sit in there forever. Also I liked that you could get extra keys if you needed it the only problem was that they would just give it to you like what if you weren't even in that room so the security was low. When I went into the pool area there wasn't even a lifeguard there like what the hell we could've sued for that but anyway it was OK and it had some difficulties but I worked with them and survived so I give it 3 stars
"Friendly and helpful staff."

The staff here are good people who will go out of their way to take care of you. After a short few weeks at a job near Mercer, my coworkers and I decided to throw a little shindig and the manager was nice enough to let us use one of the large meeting rooms to do so. The request was very last minute and not only was he happy to accommodate us but he did not even charge us. The room worked out well and I am very thankful for the kindness.

we have stayed here for 16 yrs but in the last 4 it has really gone down hill. the pool is cold need a coat, drips from condensation and few lights all to save the owner money. Spent money to redo and then decided to save money. Took out all the table and chairs/ Now closing the meeting rooms and pool is closed. We won"t be staying here again/ Staff is friendly and helpful.
"Nice pool and pet friendly (until jan 1 2015)"

The lady at the desk was more than helpful. She gave us a room close to the pool and on the 1st floor so we could take our dog out easier and the kids wouldnt have to walk far to swim. Noticed by the way she interacted with the man behind us this hotel has regulars. There are also pet owners that are regulars too. Too bad - effective jan 1 2015 this is no longer a pet friendly hotel and there will be a fine if you have a pet. The kids enjoyed the pool, though the glass ceiling condensed enough that I got drops on my head while watching them swim. Also the pool area was cold though outside was maybe in the 30s. Dont think the heat was on. But the kids said the pool felt okay. Our room had some stains on the floor and the bathroom smelled like urine. I realize this was a pet room but the housekeeping wasnt really great. Dog kept finding crumbs etc under things. And there was something behind the bed but I wasnt going to find out what. Refrigerator had yogurt in it from a previous guest. The rooms were pretty sound proof. Didnt hear much noise except the doors when they slammed. Breakfast was normal of what you would eat at a Comfort Inn. Good enough variety. Kids liked the waffles and they also offered egg and sausage. Would stay there again. Unless had the dog then would have to try another hotel in the area.
This was a very good room for the price. A reservation glitch was satisfactorily handled at the desk by Ed the room clerk. Breakfast was good. My only complaints were, the A entrance door did not lock and my towel was a long in the tooth.

We travelled there this past weekend on our way to Ohio to Amish Country, never stayed here before and travelling with a dog it is sometimes hard to find a decent place. Can't say this was a decent place, I know when it is not that clean when the entire room spells of bleach and my little westie who likes to sniff out everything was rolling on the carpet and picking up odds and ends she was finding under furniture. The bed was clean and there was TV, fridge, microwave and wifi but didn't dare take our shoes off as the carpet was very worn out and even at the door the carpet was ripped up where someones dog has scratched at it. Don't think I would stay there again, we have stayed at better.
"Just Passing Through"

Just stayed overnight at this property twice in one week. I was traveling with my husband and my dog. This pet-friendly hotel provided a nice, clean room (and bathroom) and it was quiet. A refrigerator and microwave was in the room and there was free wifi. I had read some negative reviews and was not sure what I would find. I was very happy with the accommodations I was given and I would not hesitate to recommend it. It is directly off the Interstate and there's not too much around but if you don't mind driving a few miles you could stop in at the nearby outlet center which is huge.

This review is a tough one. After reading previous reviews on this hotel, I was very, very nervous to be staying here. We had to attend a funeral and all other hotels were booked solid. As it was, I think my husband and I got the last hotel room for this weekend. So I went in thinking the worst. THE GOOD I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. It really isn't bad. Our room looked nice, smelled a tad bit musty but I brought air freshener which fixed that in a jiffy. The beds were actually very comfortable and I loved all the pillows. (TIP, always take off the comforters/duvet covers on the bed--they are one of the germiest things in the room.) I checked the sheets and mattresses and they were good. I have to say too, the room was pretty quiet, so I loved that. We were in section C, which was clearly marked outside in the parking lot. The BEST part of our stay was actually the staff! The crew that handles the breakfast mayhem were so friendly--smiles, a "good morning", even helping you with food. They were very prompt in re-filling drinks and food as well as cleaning off tables. I was thoroughly impressed. The woman at the front desk was also very, very friendly and warm. We asked for more conditioner and she was happy to look for some and give it to us. THE BAD I'm a clean freak, especially about hotels. I am particularly paranoid about bugs. Upon my initial inspection, there was a large dead spider in the corner. YUCK. At least it was dead. My husband promptly discarded it. The closet smelled horrible--to me it had a urine smell, but my husband said it just smelled musty. Either way, we were not about to hang out clothes in there. The lampshade on the first light as you entered was obviously old. It had punctures on it that, at first, made me think there were dead bugs inside (Phobic? Yes.) Upon closer look, it was just old. The carpet was sort of nasty. I chose to keep my flip flops on and not walk barefoot. The bathroom was okay--needs updating, some wallpaper coming away from the wall. The tub/shower kinda' grossed me out. It had one of those plastic bath mats at the bottom and I got the feeling that they never clean that. They just leave it in and probably spray it down with cleanser, but I could see some trapped water underneath, way before we ever used the shower for the first time. The cleaning staff had also failed to give us conditioner--only soap and shampoo--which I of course, didn't notice until I was actually IN the shower. After my shower, I unfurled one of the towels and a large wad of hair fell out. The towel was clean. My guess is, after laundering, they were folding towels and the hair got trapped inside. (I have long hair--I understand.) But it was still nasty. I don't know how they could have missed that when folding. There is a pool and Jacuzzi on site, which is nice. The Jacuzzi does not get hot though. More lukewarm. Further, when we went to towel off, they were out of towels. So we had to "wring off" as much as we could and run, dripping, freezing, down the hallways till we got to our room. Breakfast is free--hooray!--but it's also a mad house--booo. But what do you expect for free breakfast? They really could use more room to eat though. It's a tiny breakfast nook. They opened up the adjoining conference room so people could eat in there, but those rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. Coffee wasn't good. But if you mix it with a pack of hot chocolate that they offer, it's better. Those are the pros and cons. Not bad, not great, but decent--and the price was decent too. It's not far from Grove City and is right near the highway, so that makes it convenient as well.
