"Good hotel, Great staff"
This hotel was a good hotel, big open wide spaces but lacking the seating for a good common area for our group to just hangout, some of the lounge cloth seats were really worn and looked dirty. The rooms were great and looked clean, the view and area were great to walk to restaurants but they did seem to have a homeless problem around the area (I guess […] a lot of downtown areas do). Walking to the bridges that get you to North Little Rock were very pleasant and the trail behind the property was great for an afternoon jog. "Small things add up"
First impression was good, but over the two days we stayed here several small things added up to us removing this hotel as a place we would stay if we returned to Little Rock. - Sheets would not stay on the bed - Kitchen messed up our order - Lights didn't work in bathroom - figured out later that the breaker had been tripped apparently by the cleaning […] staff - Cleaning staff made extreme amount of noise while cleaning rooms by placing the lock bar across the door so it wouldn't shut while working on the room, but in no way tried to prevent the door from slamming into that bar each time they went in and out of a room. I was in my cousin's wedding at St. Andrew's with the reception at the capital. This room was very close to everything I needed while in town, to the point I did not even need a vehicle. I stayed at the former Peabody hotel for a 2 day conference. I stayed here last year, and the suite was beautiful and plus. I booked the hotel for the same conference this year. I was booked into a simple room, that remained freezing all might. Engineering came twice but told me nothing could be done-it just had to 'warm up'. It didn't. We stayed just one night. The hospitality was fabulous. The staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants, gave us a beautiful room overlooking the river and overall made us feel welcomed. "Not a good hotel for families"
I didn't realize when I booked the room that it was no longer the Peabody. I was looking forward to showing our 3 year old the walk of the ducks. That was the main reason for booking there.
