Surprisingly modern but quaint. great view of the city, esp Eiffel tower. We even saw the sign of our hotel from the top of the Eiffel as well. Walkable distance to small grocery stores and cafes for picking up a quick bite to eat before jumping on the subway. Great, friendly Staff...clean, quiet, nice room, and close to the metro or the bus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This was our first time in Paris and we had a rental car, they were very helpful with our parking needs. I don't their language, the staff were great & speak great English. Thank You!!!

Overall nice for the price but rooms are not sufficiently isolated and you can hear people talk loud in the hallways and knock on the next door walls The rooms are rather spacious and modern for a Paris Hotel with a great view and the amenities are clean but maids simply ignore "do not disturb" signs and keep knocking on your door to clean the room […] as they just want to finish their shift! It borders the simply annoying! Maids also refuse to clean the room while you are in it and want you out when they work! Unheard of! must be due to the DSK affair! I had to ask that a supervisor be present as I needed to work in the room while they were cleaning it. Towels are worned out and are not cleaned thoroughly enough. Although they smell fresh, they leave a weird "someone else has used this" odor on you as you use them. The Internet is free and works fast but you constantly have to log back on as it logs you off after a while. Ffood is good and service is great. The metro is 5 minutes away and there is a nice playground and a park right across the Hotel. There are two stadiums in the neighborhood, a mini supermarket near the metro and a pharmacy at the corner of the street. There is no minibar in the room but there is a minimart at the lobby that works all night. The mini supermarket has fresh fruits and cheaper stuff. There is no help to carry luggages so be ready to handle your stuff yourself! Taxis get there in 5-10 minutes so call up early if you are on a hurry. Read more

Some yahoos staying above from Poland or Russia were disgustingly noisey. We called the concierge and immediately the noise ceased. I wrote the previous review in March 2012. We came back over the new year and was a little disappointed with our 2nd visit. The room we were in this time was not in as good a condition as the last room we were in. There was a bit of rust on the bath and no sealant on the outside of the bath on the panel. The table/ shelf area where the TV and teas/ […] coffees were was chipped and the room just felt a little tired. It was more of a 3 star room for me. Having said that it was still great value for Paris and we had breakfast included in our booking this time. It was definitely a 4 star breakfast - great selection of cereals, fruits, pastries or you could opt for a full English or pancakes with maple syrup. Still a very quiet hotel and you're guaranteed a good night's sleep. All in all it was still an enjoyable stay 2nd time round. Read more

We arrived at the hotel at 0900 and we were allowed early check-in at 1000.We were very tired as we had a 12 hour flight. Very clean hotel in a good neighbourhood.Close to the Metro station.Roland Garros tennis club nearby.We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Mercure at Porte de Saint Cloud was a lovely stay. My other half and I were there for 5 nights. We had booked a twin room via Expedia as it was better value. Upon check in though they upgraded us to a double with no extra charge. It is further out from the centre of Paris, which is what we wanted, but the metro was only a 5 minute walk away. From […] there you could get into central Paris within 15 minutes. The free wifi was a bit hit and miss - some days it worked great, others it was really slow. The Mecure is definitely a 4* hotel. The room was plenty big enough. Bed was lovely, both the room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Bathroom was really clean. It was quiet - we didn't hear a peep from outside or from the other guests. However, you would hear flushing toilets, running of water for showers and doors closing, but only if you really listened out for it. Other than that no noise and you can't hear what's going on in the rooms next door. We were also quite close to the lifts and I was worried we would hear these during the night but no... nothing. The curtains block out all the light so with this together with being quiet we had a good nights sleep every night. Upon check out the hotel had offered to keep our luggage in store in case we wanted to explore more of Paris before our flight. We declined as our flight was mid afternoon so we planned to make our way straight to the airport. We will definitely stay here again if we ever decide to go back to Paris. Read more

I found one of the staff members Benoit who checked myself and my partner in on arrival extremely professional and very nice. Every other staff member we encountered at reception was very unhelpful and at times even rude. On the first morning of our five night stay we were awoken by drilling in the room next door to ours which went on for approximately […] an hour. There was also building works going on outside of which we had not been informed of prior to our stay, making the area smokey and the grounds inaccessible. This drilling occurred two out of the five mornings and once during the day. On the second day of our stay I fell ill and having visited a local pharmacy received some medical care, by the third day I realised I badly needed to see a doctor, on asking reception if they would know of a doctor who spoke english we received a very vague 'not really' from the three staff we asked individually, none offered to ring around pharmacies in the hope of even locating one, at this stage I would have tried to get a return flight home to ireland but I was too sick to even fly. I walked fromm pharmacy to pharmacy asking for a doctor with limited french they tried there best to assist me but unfortunately we were not successful. Notably we found the cleaning service staff very efficient and polite. Would not return again. Read more

We spent 4 night in this hotel and found the staff, room and ambience to be excellent. We were even given free transport to go to Roland Garros for the tennis which was a big bonus. Much better than I expected with the price. Compared with other hotels closer to/in touristic area, the room is spacious and much cleaner. Receptionists are quite helpful to give me information. Only drawback is breakfast if your package doesn't include it. This hotel is located a bit away from central and in business area and so you can not find a […] cafe next to the hotel except lunch time on weekdays, and you might end up having an expensive breakfast at the hotel (19 euro per each) which I did.... unless you try to go to cafes in the other side of metro station which takes 7-10 min walk from the hotel. Hôtel à l'accès pratique en venant d'ORLY, très agréable avec une ambiance cinéma originale. Mention particulière pour le personnel ,tant à l'accueil qu'au restaurant,qui fait tout ce qui est possible pour que le séjour soit réussi.Seul bémol, l'éclairage de la salle de bain est carrément insuffisant pour se maquiller correctement.

Ligger bra restauranger i närheten, port st cloud, och det är nära till Parc des Princes fotbollsarenan (ca 800 m). Hotellet känns lite gammalt men dom har renoverat upp det så det är bra för det priset. Frukost bra men restaurangen på hotellet var stängd på helgen. Parkering finns men dom tar 15 euro/dygn för det. Ligger i samma hus som hotellet. Hotelli oli siisti ja ystävällinen henkilökunta puhui hyvin englantia. Aamupala oli hyvä, ei paras mahdollinen, mutta valikoima oli runsas ja ruoka laadukasta. Lisäksi aamupalalla oli kattava luomuvalikoima. -Miinuksena voisi sanoa, että perushotellikanavat kuten CNN ja BBC eivät näkyneet kunnolla ja harvoilla kanavilla sai ranskankielisen duppauksen […] pois päältä. Lisäksi viimeisenä iltana lähellä olevassa huoneessa oleva koira haukkui hyvin pitkään. Huone oli hiukan kolea ja ikkuna vetoisa, mutta lämmitystä sai itse säädeltyä. Hotelli on hiukan syrjässä, mutta metrolla pääsee keskustaan kohtuullisessa ajassa. Syrjäinen sijainti takasi edullisen hinnan kunnollisessa hotellissa ja lisäksi ystävämme koti oli samalla alueella. +Plussana erityisesti ilmainen wifi ja yhteiskäytössä oleva tietokone tulostimella sekä siisteys ja hyvä aamiainen. / Friendly english speaking staff and good breakfast. Die U-Bahn ist 5min zu Fuß entfernt und das Gebiet um das Hotel scheint sicher zu sein - das ist mit in Paris wichtig. Das Personal spricht gut Englisch und ist freundlich. Wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht, haben es trotzdem an 3 von 4 Tagen um 19 EUR/p.P. […] in Anspruch genommen, weil es eine große Auswahl gab und sehr gut war. Die Zimmer an sich sind nichts Besonderes, aber durchaus in Ordnung für Leute die viel unterwegs sind. Nicht groß - also normal für französische Verhältnisse und sauber.
