Best Western Ramkota Hotel - Rapid City

It worked great for us. 8 year old loved the water slides and 6 year old loved the smaller slides and all the water fun. Room was quiet and location perfect. Could only be better if breakfast was included.

I reserved this room online and I got confirmation and was paid in full. Got to the hotel and was charged again for a deposit. A room for about 150$ and was charged around $300. I am missing $150 due to this mistake. I have to fix this problem myself thanks to the lack of training. Disappointed customer.

The hotel was clean and neat. Service at check in/ check out was quick. They put us in a room that was quite a ways away from the pool. Since we have small kids, I request something closer and they moved us immediately without question. The pool and water park were great. My family and I had a great time. We were thankful that the hotel had a clean and fun water park, with a regular swimming pool and hot tub across the hall. Stayed at the Best Western because of a conference i was attending at the convention center. The overall layout of the hotel/restaurant/convention center is strange and seems hobbled together. our room was very clean and nice except for the fact we had a ground level room with a sliding glass door that opened to a parking lot which was rather noisey […] and busy. There was a large crowd there for a basketball tournament so the halls were very noisey till at least 10pm. We stayed in a suit and it was filthy. I tried to give my kids a bath and the bath mat was coming off the bottom of the tub and pieces were floating all over the water. We stayed 2 nights this past weekend for a basketball tournament. Friday night everything was great but on Saturday night we did not sleep. Between all the parties, the loud people, the couples arguing we heard it all until 3:00 a.m. It would be nice to have hotel people available to walk around and put a lid on these people

OUr room size was GOOD for a family of 5. The bath room is a little small. The water park was awesome for children 2-7 yrs of age. Towels were thick and soft. The pool towels were BAD.

I recently spent two nites at Ramkota, Went sightseeing the second day only to come back to an OPEN Room that had not been cleaned, the front desk sent up a bellman with extra towels,Clearly he was annoyed. Thank God none of our belongings were stolen.

I won't say it was the nicest room i ever stayed in, but i can't think of any negatives that would prevent me from staying again.. If it wasn't for the kids water area, i would never have stayed here.. If you have kids, this place is a must stay... If no childen are involved, you can do better somewhere else..

Don't stay here. The hotel, in my opinion, was a smoking hotel at some point. The smoke smell seems to be covered up with air fresheners. I don't know if it has been expanded several times, or what, but it was a maze trying to find your way to different areas...rooms, pool, lobby. The hotel comfort was good, but the floors could have used a vacuum in our room. We also asked for a wake up call and shuttle ride back to airport the next day, and the front desk man gave us neither we discovered the next morning. No wake up call and he had put us down for a 9pm shuttle to airport instead of the 9am we needed!

Hotel has many different buildings that are all connected by hallways. No Elevators but it's only a 2 story hotel. Kids LOVED the waterpark/very kid friendly and shallow. It also had a reg. large indoor pool that is separate. Rooms were the basic room type. No flat screen or breakfast(did offer room service) but clean. Location was good. This hotel is in a great location. It is easy to get any from there and there is a lot of stuff to do close by. The attached water park is great and included with the rooms. Our room was clean at first glance, but the curtains and balcony door track were full of dead and live moths. This bothers me more than most because I can't stand moths. We cleaned […] them up ourselves thinking it was just that time of year. Then later that night while we were sleeping the AC went from cool (never cold) air to hot air. I woke up because I was sweating so bad. Our room was easily 85 degrees or more. The next day was chilly so we left the patio open a little and the room cooled down. Then we had the moths back! It made sense why they were in there. I assume the last people had the same problem. When we went check out and let them know of the issues, we were told the AC was on the next maintenance schedule.
