Casa Moderna Miami Hotel & Spa

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and impeccably designed. The huge king bed was very comfortable, the closet was huge, the bathroom enormous with a separate shower and extra large tub. The room was very luxurious, and the hotel is located right on Biscayne Blvd. I didn't investigate the rooftop pool, bars, or the restaurants, but the hotel had plenty […] of amenities to offer. The staff was very friendly, as well. My one complaint was the excessive parking price - a hidden cost that hiked up the price of an otherwise very reasonably priced hotel. This hotel we found online reduced in price as a last minute deal. After arriving at the hotel we found out that is half hotel and half residential building. I didn't find much of a problem with this except the hotel half was smaller and strangely enough the lobby was on the second floor. Meaning you walk in with no clue were you are going (slight safety […] concern since anyone can get on the elevator and take it to the floor they desire. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only problem with the property is that there were several maintenance issue (i.e. pool chairs broken, TV in bathroom broken, etc.) which leads me to believe the owner is focused more on the residential side. This hotel was overall great, from the moment my husband and I gtot greeted by the valet to the spacious room with the Comfortable bed. I was a little upset that we had to pay for a balcony room. (The view.was not even worth the money, there was construction right in front. ) The valets was expensive if you are stay for 5 nights. Bed is extremely comfy, pillows too, the bathroom is great specially the tub which you can soak in, fit perfectly 2 people in there! the one thing if you are not there as a couple maybe the see through door in the shower may be a little uncomfortable, but my hubby and I loved it. the only detail I saw was some spots on the kitchenette but it was not dirty at all, looked like old stains. everything was just amazing! right across the AAA were you could go to bongos or bayside so location was great. I'm like that annoying professor in college that never gives a perfect score just on principle. However, I can not find one thing about this experience that is even remotely negative. First the staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. We left the room late one day and asked for housekeeping. We were told that they had left for the day and we […] said no problem since we knew it was late in the day. When we got back a few hours later, the room was immaculate. Not sure if they called someone back in, but it was above the what was expected. The staff continued to impress right up to walking out into the rain to hail us a cab. Loved them. Now the room. Room is large and spacious with a lovely bathroom. The bathroom would be a little weird in a regular home (shower and tub are in a room together), but in a hotel room it was a little cool. There was a huge balcony with lounge chairs and a walk-in closet. There were a lot of other amenities, but I have to mention the bed. I swear when I laid down, I felt like... well, like the bed hugged me. I have never slept on a more comfortable bed in my life. We hardly left the room and didn't do much, yet it was one of the best weekends we've had in a while. So relaxing. Loved it! Before we left Miami, we already planned on returning and staying in the same hotel. Also recommend Truluck Restaurant at 777 Brickel Avenue. Went to the Miami heat game so it was in perfect proximity to the arena. Kinda far from south beach especially in traffic but the cabs were like 20. Complimentary upgrade made it just absolutely PERFECT. two cool clubs and restaurants nearby.

Theirs is the worst! The AC wasn't working for one night. We were tossing and turning and sweating. My hair got totally ruined. When we arrived the bellboy wasn't there to bring our bags up. They told us we had to wait for him to come down. After 5 minutes we took our own bags up. Shouldn't he be there waiting for arriving guests? Overall the hotel was nice.
