"Good location for Arlington Cemetary and Ft Myer"
The rooms are very old and there was mildew on the walls and in the corners of the bathrooms. Bathrooms need complete renovation. Wallpaper was coming off the walls and the furniture is nicked up and looks like it was picked up at a dump. The small frig in our room did not work. Ice maker was not working either and with temps in the 90's we would have […] liked to have a cold water bottle for the day. There was a strong odor of some kind of chemical in the room. I think it was bug spray or a strong deodorizer to cover cigarette smoke. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We needed a motel room close to Ft Myer and had a limited budget. This motel fit that criteria but the room was very old. Mold in the bathroom, a strong smell of a chemical which I am guessing may have been bug spray, ice machine did not work, breakfast was "continental" with stale donuts. Originally we booked for 2 nights but decided to spend the same […] amount of money at a motel an hour out of Arlington that was much more up to date and cleaner. "Nice hotel for a family!"
We were in Washington for my uncle's funeral in Arlington, and had secured 4 rooms. For us it was very convenient, having come from Florida, PA and Missouri. We had a place to get to easily, there were restaurants (mostly fast food) across the street, and it is only about 3 miles from the cemetary. The staff was very accomodating, placing us in rooms […] as close to each other as possible. We were able to all sit in one of the rooms, between the couch, chairs and bed. (There were 10 of us altogether). The free- breakfast, -parking and -Wi-Fi were also a big plus, as we needed to be at the cemetary by 8:30am. Although it was not "the Ritz-Carlton", the price was less than 1/3, too! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Washington DC Trip of a Life time"
There Staff was very friendly and super helpful. Best purchase Metro/Bus pass for a week we used the pass everyday several times a day. Great food very close to hotel within walkikng distance. I was surprised to get to the room and find that we had a mini kitchen in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed at many hotels over the years, but this is my first and last time I will ever stay at a Days Inn. The first look at the outside of the hotel did not make a good impression. It was worse once inside. Unfortunately, due to a convention in town at the time, moving elsewhere was not an option, or certainly I would have done so. The elevator […] was broken, so 2 60+ year olds had to drag our bags up the stairs to the second floor. The sleeping quarters were what I would call passable, but the bathroom was deplorable. The floor was broken up and looked disgusting. The shower curtain was ripped and didn't fit the tub. After the first day, the 5 tissues that were in the box were used up and were not replaced at cleanup that day. We had to pull the box off the wall and leave it on the counter to get it refilled. The numerical room sign fell off our door the second day, and was never put back. They just left it INSIDE the room. The "FREE BREAKFAST" was a total joke. The orange juice was broken for the first 5 days. One of 2 toasters didn't work, and we had to ask for decaf coffee to be refilled several times. The cereal containers were more on the counters and floor than in the dispensers. There were dead flies on the window sill right next to where I was trying to eat my breakfast. YUCK! I would not recommend Days Inn to an enemy, let alone a friend. For the almost $600 I paid for these accommodations, I believe that Days Inn owes me a BIG refund! The location was really good and close to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and clean. The hallways in the hotel were very dirty and so was the bathroom floor. Maid service was minimal. The elevator service is connected to an attached restaurant, and only ran from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. Getting luggage up and down the stairs was difficult. It […] is not likely that we will use this hotel chain again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a Mess!"
My one night stay at Days Inn was 1 night too long. The room was not clean. There was dried food in the carpet. My bed spread had dried food on, looked like chili or salsa. The hotel supposedly had Internet but I could not access it from my room. I had to go to the hotel lobby. The longer I stayed in the room, the less happy I became, so I called the […] hotels.com toll-free number and the next morning, they got me a room at a different hotel. There was a reason why they only had 2 stars, and I think that was generous, and there's a reason why they were cheaper. I'll never stay there again, and I may never stay in a Days Inn again. BUT I am totally happy with hotels.com and the assistance they provided. Everyone I talked to was so nice and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Relatively cheap (for Arlington) but adequate."
The title says it all. Cheap for Arlington, an aged facility but the clean. You get what you pay for. What more casn I say?Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to food"
It was good for the price. Very run down with some not so clean looking towels. Lot of restaurants and transit at walking distance so that worked well. There was some mention of water being shut down foe couple do hours overnight but it dis not happen while I was there. Overall okay if you are alone; I wouldn't use it if I am with family.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"location for my needs"
The staff was extremely helpful and very courteous in helping us with questions, directions and a late check-out. I would recommend this hotel and stay again when in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a 3.1"
In my opinion - this isn't a place I'd call "3 star". The hotel is old, the room smelled of smoke/urine (just an overall dirty smell). The bed was very worn. The shower was falling apart. It was a great location, the neighborhood was "fine" and the front office lady was pleasant. I will not stay here again and would warn that this really is not a 3 […] star, if that is your goal. "Days Inn Arlington"
The price of the hotel was its best feature, otherwise the hotel is slightly older and outdated. Close drive to the metro stop which made it convenient for travel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for passing through."
The hotel is very old, kind of dingy, and while not overtly dirty, it needs a lot of sprucing up! Fortunately, it was clean enough that I did not encounter any critters.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel for the price."
Older hotel...but our room was nice and staff was very good. Good location near places to eat and right on bus line to get to Metro station.Genuine Expedia guest review
The personal is very helpful and kind with guests. However, the towels on the room were not really clean and the room furniture was average. The hotel is not near any metro and is necessary to take bus to reach the Pentagon or Pentagon City metro.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the rooms could use remodeling/renovation, the room was clean, the staff attentive and courteous, and the overall experience was tops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
dirty, run down, lack of maintenance, burned out light bulbs. Pretty disgusting for $100/night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Value... Clean... Great place to stay..."
I was initially concerned to make a reservation at the hotel based on some of the posts on the site… I eventually made the reservation because the majority of the previous guests mentioned the rooms were clean, but slightly dated specifically the bathrooms… I arrived at the hotel and was impressed the rooms were much better than initially anticipated… […] Yes the bathrooms were slightly dated, but were extremely clean, which is my major concern… The beds and pillows were is superb condition… Regardless of where I stay, I bring my own blankets so they weren’t an issue… I will say the bedding was also in good condition and clean… The location was great and an easy commute into Washington D.C… I visit the Washington D.C area every few years… I will be staying at the Day’s Inn on my return trips… I had stayed at high end hotels in the past right inside the metro area and spent $200.00 + a night… It wasn’t worth it… I’m telling you for the price this Day’s Inn is a great deal and a perfect place to stay with the family… Now if you’re the type of person that wants to spend $70.00 a night and wants the feel of a $200.00 a night room this isn’t the place for you… Just spend the $200.00… Great room for the $$$... Very quiet, Clean, Comfortable, and the staff is very friendly… Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel room smelled like cigarretes, the mattreses were uncomfortable, worst hotel in my life.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Hotel !!!"
The entire staff of the hotel was very polite and extremely helpful in giving directions and suggestions about places in the area around the hotel and the Washington area.Genuine Expedia guest review
This place was kind of gross. Absolute minimal effort to provide any comforts. Repairs and modifications done without any attempt to cover or restore a finished look.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay in Washington DC"
We found the hotel very comfortable for value. The hotel had some very good restaurants within walking distance, plus a McDonalds and a Subway across the street and a Rite Aid about a block away. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. We used public transportation to Washington DC. The bus stops were close and the buses ran quite regularly to the […] Pentagon and Pentagon City Metro stops. When you stop at the Pentagon Metro, please stop to see the stop to see the Memorial to those killed in the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel needs some TLC. Wallpaper was coming off wall, rust and dirt along baseboards in bathroom! Paint was peeling, overall dirty room! Staff was helpful and the continental breakfast was ok. I would have paid the extra twenty dollars to stay at the hilton down the street! Bad choice on my part!,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very close to the sights we wanted to see.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, but can do with better housekeeping"
For the price charged, the room with microwave oven, fridge, free parking and a bed was good. Housekeeping could have been better; we saw a bread packet and a meat packet in our fridge, presumably from the previous guest. But for only stay in the night, we could ignore them.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not what is described"
The description of this Inn at hotels.com is not correct. I would not recommend this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This motel is a good value for the money. It is very basic but convenient to the surrounding area for tourists who dont spend alot of time in their room. The service at the desk is very good. They were helpful in printing out our boarding passes and providing information and directions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for a night to stay in DC. Very convenient to get into the city. Close proximity to the Pentagon and Air Force memorials as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It's really bad."

"If you want to visit DC on a budget..."
this is a safe place fairly close to all major attractions, but you get what you pay for. Rooms face parking lot and busy street. Slow shower drain and no bath fan was a bummer, but all we did was sleep here. Less than 5 miles from the mall, but plan time for traffic and parking. Nearest Metro stop is one and one half miles away; bus stopped close to […] hotel if you wished to transfer. But it seemed it would cost more money and take more time than driving in. When my family stays at a hotel, we rarely allow staff in the room to clean - when we needed towels, they were readily available at front desk. With two kids and only two beds, we welcomed a rollaway cot for $7 for our entire stay (we weren't even charged for it). Breakfast was fine - coffee hot but weak, cereal, bagels, donuts, pastries, juice, and milk - but it was one less meal to purchase every day. For those little things you forget when travelling - there is a rite-aid 2 blocks away. Pretty good Thai restaurant attached to hotel. McDonald's right across the street. Gas station on adjacent corner. You can't do much better on a budget! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed the safety of the area and convenience to D.C. Plenty of good restaurants and things to do in the area. The breakfast offered by the hotel was ok, but we preferred Mcdonalds and Dunkin Donuts instead.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bit dingy but great neighborhood for ethnic food"
Hotel was a bit shabbier and older than expected. Staff was OK. Surrounding neighborhood had lots of great food options though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable and adequate"
It was a bit noisy on Saturday. People were talking loud at 4:30 am in the morning and it was difficult to sleep. The room was clean every day. The breakfast was adequate. The microwave and refrigerator worked well. Wifi connection worked well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My room was cosmetically run down, but clean. Bars of soap, no shampoo or conditioner, but, I'm ok with that because all of the little bottles are terrible environmentally. The wi-fi worked fine. Felt safe. Staff pleasant and helpful. Less expensive than lots of places around, so I knew it wouldn't be haute couture.Genuine Expedia guest review
"works as a motel"
Good to sleep one night while travel if you want to pay cheap. Not far from Reagan Airport.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Overall, it served my needs"
We came to town for Dudefest at the Arlington cinema and drafthouse which was literally across the street. Our first impression of the hotel was good as the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Our first impression of the room was that it smelled a little funky. But from there on out, everything was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice for the price & the location."
I picked this hotel for the price & the distance from Regan Ntl airport. It's only two stops. Also, the bus stop was next door & it only takes approx 8 minutes to the Pentagon City stop.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very poor condition especially the bathroomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bathroom needs help"
The bathroom is gross.... The tub fixture has rust stains on it, the wallpaper is lifting. There was towels left from the previous guest so we moved them onto the back of the door. Nowhere to put clothes or toiletries other than the floor. Internet is VERY SLOW going and will bump off alot. Really a pain trying to get work done online while relaxing […] at night. The bedroom area is decent, the bed ok for comfort. The taxes on this place are double other states....yikes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to much pricier hotels."
It was fine. If you need a place to crash and you don't need a lot of decor this is a great value. I had a job in the Ritz Carlton at 7:30am that was an hour drive from my house. For the price it was well worth staying at this hotel because I had a 6 minute drive instead. The neighborhood is a little rough (I don't mean crime ridden, just sort of run […] down, but directly to the back of the hotel is a super ritzy apartment building. DC is sort of like that. Staff was nice, breakfast was a nice idea, but terrible coffee, thick orange juice, tasteless bagels. Not that I expected it to be good, I just wanted to grab a little something. Better to have a good selection of drinks and forget the rest. Overall satisfied for what I paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
was not a bad stay overall, but the area was not good at all! loud shouting and slamming doors and very suspicious looking characters around?? liked the kitchen but the bathtubs are in need of repair/replacement. had a late checkout of 5pm and have never been charged at the marriotts, residence etc but was charged 40 bucks here?? oh well....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was clean and the staff members were nice. Nothing fancy, but you get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was dirty and the building was old. but the hotel location is very nice and just a few minutes from DC downtownGenuine Expedia guest review
This was by far one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, in a very long time. The bathroom still had hair on the walls and floor when I arrived; everything was outdated and the room itself had been "paste" together in the corners where previous wear and tear has occurred. TERRIBLE - spend the extra money on yourself; you deserve it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay with Family"
If you want to live close to the attractions then this place is it. restaurants around the hotel and then a train station about 2 miles out (pentagon city) really help plan trips to the DC area. The beds were nice, no pains or aches. Bathrooms are clean and ok. If you need a place to stay and not very picky then this is it.Genuine Expedia guest review
room was very clean my only problem was on one side of the matress was lower than the other sideGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Bet for the price"
It was nice..Bed sheets could have been much cleaner and well washed..Nice ambience..Friendly staff..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A very quaint, very homey staff. The hotel itself felt more like an inn, but it had it's own convection stovetop in its minikitchen which I thought was nice as they had cooking ware in the cabinets already. I'd go back to itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
