Drury Inn McAllen - McAllen

The room carpet did not seem clean. I did sleep well on the bed. The water was hot but the shower faucet was not working properly. The exit was out of the way for the direction we were coming in & out of. Over all, I would not stay here again. T.M.A.

Came here on a detail job position. Location is close to places to eat, ie. resturants from Olive Garden, CChili's, Red Lobster. I work for the Post Office which less then 4 miles. Medal facilities about 2 miles to include VA. Church less then 5 miles. Inn serves breakfast and a lite dinner and and 1 free drink every night. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The fact we had breakfast and dinner included was great. Normally hot dogs and nachos or hot dogs and chickens strips. The pool was nice but wish the work out room was a little larger. Over all the kids had fun and we saved money on food, so worth it.

Wow were we impressed with the service at this hotel, the front staff, manager, and cooks (particularly the morning cook Socorro). The biggest pros, besides the service, was the meals. The breakfasts and kick-back meals were super kid (and adult!) friendly. We stayed for five nights and it was so nice to have an awesome, hot breakfast every morning […] and a meal our kids would eat at night. We also loved the pool. It was always clean and never reaked of chlorine. Our kids were not only welcome to run around, quietly, they were encouraged by the super friendly staff. The only con I have is the fact that the cleaning crew didn't refill our coffee or kleenex but it wasn't a huge deal. I would definately stay here again. I have stayed in serval Drury Inns. I love to stay in this hotels but never again will stay in this Drury Inn. It was the worst one of all the Drury Inns. It was old,smell old, pieces of carpet missing, and etc...Hope the next Drury Inn is better..

The hotel itself is quite small, but manages to have most all mid-range amenities. There is a very small workout room at the hotel (two treadmills and a bike only), a small laundry and an outdoor pool. There isn't a hottub. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the breakfast and evening snack service were more than adequate. The breakfast on […] a weekday consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc. The evening snack service included two or three complementary drinks. It consisted of buffalo chicken, a baked potato, salad (a little rusty), soup, rolls, etc. The eating area was adequate for the guests on a weekday but might be tight on a busy weekend. There was also a small sitting area in the atrium-style lobby. The room was clean and had a coffee-maker and blowdryer. The carpet had some bleach spots. The shower had mounted shampoo, conditioner & showergel dispensers and the towels were soft but thin. The bed was comfortable and the bedding modern with lots of pillows, so that was nice.
