we have always liked Wis. So anytime we can,we come to Wis. Not just Madison but the whole state. on whole the trip was nice and relaxing.Why don't you have more then coffee at this hotel

I only stayed two nights, but the teeny weeny coffee maker was utterly insufficient. I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER stay for an extended period in a place with a puny coffee maker. If you won't put a decent one in every room, at least have a couple at the front desk to supply to those who want decent coffee facilities in their room.

Location.
Conveniently near the airport, DoubleTree by Hilton Madison is in the heart of Madison, within walking distance of Kohl Center and Chazen Art Museum. Also nearby are Wisconsin State Capitol Building and Wisconsin Historical Museum.
Hotel Features.
DoubleTree by Hilton Madison has an indoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness facility. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Business amenities at this 3.5-star property include a 24-hour business center, a meeting/conference room, and audio-visual equipment. "2 minute walk from Kohl Center"
We stay at the Doubletree every year when we attend the UW varsity band show. It is so close, and we don't have to worry about parking or getting out with all the traffic. We just walk back and head to the lounge for a nightcap. The beds are comfy, the rooms are quiet, and the breakfast is great. Not one of those usual continental type breakfasts. "close to the Kohl Center"
This is an excellent location for anyone attending an activity at the Kohl Center. The hotel accommodations were above average and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Badgerland Restaurant located in the hotel has excellent food including several vegetarian/vegan entrees. We had a problem with the electronic pass cards for our room and the staff […] promptly set up new cards for us. Unfortunately the new pass cards also functioned erratically. I suggest that the mechanism for Room 310 may need to be repaired or replaced. We stayed on a night they were fully booked and yet a quiet and peaceful atmosphere was evident. "Close to what we were there to see."
Very nice facility. Friendly staff. Close to Kohl center. We were able to park our car and walk to all our destinations until we were ready to head home.

Clean, easy in and out parking. Hotel has shuttle to take you to dinner/supper. Hotel has bar, restaurant for breakfast.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT. FRIENDLY SERVICE, WARM DELICIOUS COOKIES GIVEN TO US UPON OUR ARRIVAL. UPGRADED US TO A FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AND NEWLY DECORATED. THEY EVEN HAD A SHUTTLE BUS TO TAKE US WHERE EVER WE NEEDED. "Cozy in Downtown Madison"
Perfect spot! A little overpriced, but it is right in the middle of everything. We walked everywhere, even in the frigid cold, to bars and restaurants and shops. Nice, clean room with everything we needed, plus of course a complimentary, warm chocolate chip cookie.

"Great budget hotel"
We were in town for a wedding and chose to stay here due to its proximity to campus. The shuttle service provided was a huge plus given the time of year. Some aspects of the room seemed a bit antiquated but overall a good hotel.
"Great Location in Downtown Madison"
Here for Epic training, we chose to stay downtown for the evening-life (I did not stay up too late because of business at hand...). I do love eating out in downtown Madison (and the Farmers' Market is great during the summer/fall months), so this is a great location to walk or enjoy a quick shuttle ride. The DoubleTree common areas are now under renovation, […] but we were still made to feel welcome with the classic cookie and nice front-desk staff. The bed was soooo comfy (I may have enjoyed a more firm pillow, but i made it work as the bed was GREAT) The bathroom was clean and the toiletries were a nice citrus-y fragrance. There is a restaurant-bar in the hotel that had sundry folks there; however, we did not take advantage... There is no shuttle to Epic in Verona, but it is not hard to get there driving...FREE, convenient parking All in all - a nice thumbs up! Read more
"Christmas in Madison"
This is a regular doubletree, other than the fact that the staff went above and beyond. We came to Madison, not realizing that the whole city shuts down during the Holidays. The staff went out of their way to help us find restaurants, given that everything was full. They even had complementary shuttle rides to the restaurants. On the last night we were […] there, they even surprised us with a short tour of the light show. The manager who was covering various shifts (20 hrs in one day), was unbelievably cheerful. "Perfect for games at the Kohl Center"
We love staying at the DoubleTree when we go to Madison for basketball or hockey games. It is within walking distance of the Kohl Center, has free parking, and is within walking distance of restaurants as well. The service is always great and the beds have been very comfortable.

Located on a one way street so we got to know the back road way in. Comfortable down duvet Great restaurant. Found that the buffet for two cost about the same as driving to the IHOP to get what we wanted. EVERYTHING is included in the buffet. They offered to get us whatever we wanted. Nice towels in the bathroom. Shower curtain didn't stick to me. Walking […] distance to the capital, etc. If you are driving, take a bicycle. There was no extra charge for parking, but the most convenient go fast. The front desk gives you a token so you can get OUT of the parking lot. "Convenient location, Free parking, helpful staff"
Great location-- we walked both to the Kohl Center and to the Saturday Farmers' Market. Free parking is wonderful. My daughters loved the pool and hottub. Facility is well-cared-for and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed here in order to go to the UW varsity band concert at the Kohl center. Could not have asked for a more convenient location, literally a five minute walk. You are right in the heart of the UW campus, close to many things--within walking distance to State Street and many fine restaurants. Nice view of the Capitol. Free parking and a really nice […] buffet breakfast at the attached restaurant. French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, along with oatmeal and pastries and bagels. Also the room had comp. bottles of water and snack bags of gardettos and chex mix. When we checked in they gave us a hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookie. They bend over backwards to please you. Perfect location for a campus visit, and close to the center of town for anyone wanting a true Madison experience. Free parking, free shuttle service, and warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival!

"Doubletree- excellence in every factor"
My husband and I booked a last-minute stay for a mini-vacation at the Doubletree on Johnson St. in Madison. I didn't expect too much but i was wowed.

Excellent location, service, room, and experience
"Convenient downtown location"
This was a perfect location for us because we had tickets to the Overture Center. There was a free shuttle service to the Overture which was nice. Also, the breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent. Great place to stay!
