"Decent Option in Santa Barbara"
We came to Santa Barbara for a wedding and opted to stay here instead of paying for the Fess Parker. The location is a little out of the way from downtown (a couple miles). Its not a new hotel but it has very nice grounds (interior courtyard with ponds and landscaping). The breakfast was fairly standard (waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, et […] c). "Pleasant and cozy hotel."
Our 3 night stay was comfortable and relaxing. The courtyard and pond was beautiful. Our girls loved the heated pool. It was a relaxing and quiet stay. Would definitely stay her again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice duck pond"
Positive: The rooms were clean, breakfast was okay, they have a great duck pond with turtles and coi. Negative: The hotel is very dated and the complimentary breakfast staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Other than location, really nice little place."
Lagoon and the pool were nice and the ducks are great for little kids I would presume. Nice man out front was very helpful with multitude of things without losing his good humor. Overall, it was a very nice stay and if you have an access to a vehicle to actually get to places, I would highly recommend staying here.Genuine Expedia guest review
"One night stay Only!"
The location was convenient to the event we were attending, and the check in process was quick and easy. However the hotel is an older property and the shower had intermittent temperature changes from hot to hotter and warm to cold. It was very annoying to take a shower there. The air conditioner was also below standard and didn't keep the room comfortable […] during the night and I had to keep getting up to adjust the temperature. It's okay for an overnight stay. About the only thing that was great was checking out!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When I booked our room at Ramada I understood it would look out into the garden area. It did not. The room they assigned us had a strong smell of body odor but they immediately put us in a different room. Unfortunately our new room was close to the highway and noisy but it was clean :). Considering everything the value of the room was just ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"grounds and landscaping impressive"
It was close to freeway, could go North or South on 101 easily. Would stay there again. Not impressed with continental breakfast, but IHOP across the street. Front desk helpful for us to find a nearby movie theater. Obtained taxi for us with a discount taxi card to take us to State St, Santa Barbara.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall very good, I would stay there again, however problem with the shower in our room. The temperature would all of a sudden increase, could be a problem for an older or younger guest.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
very comfortable and very well facilitated hotel. It is really convenient if you are driving, but it's kind of suburban if you don't have a car to tour the area. I'm traveling with my family so I felt a little inconvenient not being able to walk around the sightseeing place. Basically it's freeway right outside the hotel. The interior of the hotel is […] very nice. Things are new and comfortable, they have refrigerator, outside swimming pool and many cute ducklings.. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A lovely trip!"
I booked the hotel for my family long weekend trip to Santa Barbara. I was going to find a nice, B&B but couldn't get the one I want so I decided to use Expeida and reserved this Ramada. Last year we stayed at this Ramada and was not too crazy about it due to the noise. This time, we had a great time for our four days, three nights staying. They did […] some remodeling, the pond was so beautiful. My son enjoyed feeding the ducks, and Koi every morning. The pool was nice and clean. Much appreciated Ramada provided some pool equipment for people to use. Breakfast was very nice. Hot waffle, juice, fresh fruit...etc. We sat on the patio enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Ducks walked around us. It's simply peaceful. We never need to drive around looking for expensive breakfast. The location is close to down town Santa Barbara (10 minutes driving) so we are not surrounded by the noise but close enough to every thing. The only thing that I think they can improve a little is the breakfast room staff. It's hard to get a smile from them, which made people afraid to ask them any questions. I will chose this place again for my next visit to Santa Barbara. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Lovely grounds, rooms are clean but showing their age!Genuine Expedia guest review
Right off the freeway, but not too loud. Really easy to get to wherever you need to be. Downtown SB is within 10 minutes, and the hotel is close to a few restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was better than I expected. My daughter loved the pond with the ducks and fish. The pool was nice because it was heated which was perfect because the weather was cooler than expected. Our family loved the fresh baked cookies in the front lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The bed was extremely uncomforatable"
We could not get a good night sleep, the bed was uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Adequate room, can be a little noisy toward the freeway side of the property. Breakfast was mostly starches but clean and edible. Expensive for what you get, but Santa Barbara is expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, beautiful gardens and great price!"
Excellent venue, great price, beautiful gardens and just enough away from the center of Santa Barbara to make it accessible without being so crowded. Fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, comfortable and great responsive staff!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed there one night quite. Close to ucsb and stores. Easy freeway accessGenuine Expedia guest review
Service was prompt and efficient. Order a roll away bed for grandson when I arrived at 3pm and had not been delivered by 10pm. Had to call to have it delivered and when it came it had a dirty blanket and there was something red smeared on the sheet. Had to call to have it exchanged for another which they immediately did. The service was great. The room […] was nice. The bed was comfy. If it hadn't been for the rollaway everything would have been perfect. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quality place in beautiful Santa Barbara"
While the room seems a little dated, it was very spacious and the balcony was nice. Would recommended you get a second story place facing into the pool for a quality view. Breakfast is pretty good for a continental breakfast. It's also a long window so you don't have to wake up early for it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient for travel on 101"
Suited our purposes for an easy checkin and stay overnight north on 101.Genuine Expedia guest review
A continental breakfast should be something more than a jar full of hard boiled eggs, usual bread and cereal selections.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A very nice Hotel"
This was a great place to spend a week. The group I was with and I loved the small lake filled with ducks and turtles eager for a handed out. I liked the fact that each room had its own small patio for evening conversation, with a great back drop.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad but not great either"
I spent the night here because I read the rooms were clean. My room was not that clean. The bathroom was not very clean. I had a big spider crawling on my bed but that's due to the pleasant landscaping surrounding the hotel. The breakfast was typical, no complaints at all there. The lagoon and ducks were fun, but my room was not very clean and that […] bothered me. The hotel is not near anything really and you have to drive to get anything. There is an IHOP across the street. Lastly, the staff thinks it's ok to drag garbage bins down the hallway at 7 AM (very noisy), so if you want to sleep past 7, may not be the place for you. "Convenient, clean, nice pool and pond areas"
We've stayed here a number of times over the last 15 years while son and later daughter attended UCSB. Close enough to school (but away from the slightly wild IV), comfortable rooms, good free breakfast, nice pool.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is easy to get to. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel is very old.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed quietness, clean room and excellent breakfast the next morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was swell, the fear den was beautiful and the breakfast was great also the poolGenuine Expedia guest review
"Above and beyond expectations"
Stayed two nights. I've got to say, I really like this place. When you first walk into the lobby, it is not all that impressive. However, since I don't spend any time there (other then for registration), I am not too concerned. The rooms are clean, the service, professional. The grounds are charming and include a small pond, inhabited by an assortment […] of geese (though there is VERY LITTLE evidence of the waste that geese are famous for generating...great job staff!).The continental breakfast is more than adequate with an assortment of bars, pastries, waffle, English muffins, bread, yogurt, hard boiled eggs...you get the idea. It may be time to upgrade the air conditioner. While it still "worked", it is pretty old and took a while to cool down the room. All in all, they do a great job. Over the past five years, this was the fifth time that I stayed here. When staying in Santa Barbara, the Ramada Limited is the first hotel that I look to book. That...says it all! "Hotel is ok, not bad...They gave us the worse view"
ok not bad, The only bad thing was the restroom. It got super hot, had no fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel had very nice grounds. Breakfast was just ok. I have had a lot better at other hotels. A lot of the stuff was really dry and felt stale. The rooms need some updating but overall a great stay. They staff was great!!!! Will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shop first. Decent stay but $$"
On a cool evening, high 50s, had difficulty keeping the room cool. AC was loud and inefficient. The open slider was pleasent but required a second floor stay for safety.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice older hotel, well maintained and very quiet"
I enjoyed the easy access to rooms, very quiet atmosphere, beautiful pool, and good service. For the area the price of this hotel is quite low. Not in the heart of a tourist area, but very convenient to freeway access - to the beach, UCSB, or downtown via car in 10 minutes and about -30% of most hotels with similar appointment. All rooms appeared to […] have patio or balcony outside seating area with sliding door. A bit of funky/elegant Santa Barbara feel to it. A nice break from Hampton Inn for me - and a better deal. "Miserable staff; hotel just OK"
The staff - primarily the continental breakfast team and the housekeeping team - seemed miserable. They never smiled and were not at all welcoming. The continental breakfast staff have to make the waffles, but don't pay attention to the order of requests and, therefore, served guests who arrived after I did. And, they (he) was unapologetic for the mistake. […] The hotel is near a highway; across the street from an IHOP and next to a gas station. If you just want a place to lay your head, this hotel is the place for you. Prior to arriving at this hotel I stayed at a hotel in Oxnard and wished I'd never left. "Close to University"
I stayed their a night April 4-5, before heading to hearst Castle in San Simeon. The stay was nice, friendly staff. The continental breakfast was good and the male and female that worked it were on top of their game. Professional assisted you with what ever you needed. The hotel has these like scan keys which I liked tap on a door and go. I was their […] on my own passing through. The restroom was a different experience for me it did not have a bath tub which I like tubs to keep the water in this was a stand shower square with curtains around so the same restroom and shower share the same floor with a handicap bench. Which was ok but I prefer the tub. Room had a nice view of a pond and pool. Loved the Ducks.... the ducks made it more mother nature. I would def stay their again when i go visit Santa Barbara. You also have a Gas Station/ I hop/In n out walking distance. Thank you RAMADA HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Love the Duck Pond"
Clean room, nonsmoking motel, comfortable bed. A short drive to all sights. Love the duck pond. Nice pool. Lobby redone so one can see the duck pond from the desk Very fast service when slight problem with toilet. Very reasonable rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lagoon was very pretty, complete with ducks. The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained.Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay was for three days, two nights. My first room had a toilet seat that did not stay up (?!) and the carpet was wet and smelled like urine. I had to request a room switch and Ramada could only accommodate me with a room with smaller beds and told me I had to check out again at noon into another room. When I asked the next morning about switching […] rooms, they had no idea about what I was talking about and told me no need. Then I was locked out of the hotel and my room and had to have the front desk reset everything. My final night had the noisiest bed ever, a crying newborn in the room adjacent to mine and a party in the room above mine. I think I slept about 4 hours culmulative during my stay. "Motel by the side of the road near UCSB"
I have never been to Goleta/Santa Barbara, so this is the only time I have needed accommodations in the area. Next time, I will look for something that is nicer, and a better value. This is basically a Motel by the side of the road (literally next to an IHop, Gas Station) charging hotel prices.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice location, but rooms need some facelift"
Bad wireless connection, the air conditioner looks 30 years old and falling apartGenuine Hotels.com guest review
