"Convenient for travel on 101"
Suited our purposes for an easy checkin and stay overnight north on 101.Genuine Expedia guest review
A continental breakfast should be something more than a jar full of hard boiled eggs, usual bread and cereal selections.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A very nice Hotel"
This was a great place to spend a week. The group I was with and I loved the small lake filled with ducks and turtles eager for a handed out. I liked the fact that each room had its own small patio for evening conversation, with a great back drop.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad but not great either"
I spent the night here because I read the rooms were clean. My room was not that clean. The bathroom was not very clean. I had a big spider crawling on my bed but that's due to the pleasant landscaping surrounding the hotel. The breakfast was typical, no complaints at all there. The lagoon and ducks were fun, but my room was not very clean and that […] bothered me. The hotel is not near anything really and you have to drive to get anything. There is an IHOP across the street. Lastly, the staff thinks it's ok to drag garbage bins down the hallway at 7 AM (very noisy), so if you want to sleep past 7, may not be the place for you. "Convenient, clean, nice pool and pond areas"
We've stayed here a number of times over the last 15 years while son and later daughter attended UCSB. Close enough to school (but away from the slightly wild IV), comfortable rooms, good free breakfast, nice pool.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is easy to get to. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel is very old.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed quietness, clean room and excellent breakfast the next morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was swell, the fear den was beautiful and the breakfast was great also the poolGenuine Expedia guest review
"Above and beyond expectations"
Stayed two nights. I've got to say, I really like this place. When you first walk into the lobby, it is not all that impressive. However, since I don't spend any time there (other then for registration), I am not too concerned. The rooms are clean, the service, professional. The grounds are charming and include a small pond, inhabited by an assortment […] of geese (though there is VERY LITTLE evidence of the waste that geese are famous for generating...great job staff!).The continental breakfast is more than adequate with an assortment of bars, pastries, waffle, English muffins, bread, yogurt, hard boiled eggs...you get the idea. It may be time to upgrade the air conditioner. While it still "worked", it is pretty old and took a while to cool down the room. All in all, they do a great job. Over the past five years, this was the fifth time that I stayed here. When staying in Santa Barbara, the Ramada Limited is the first hotel that I look to book. That...says it all! "Hotel is ok, not bad...They gave us the worse view"
ok not bad, The only bad thing was the restroom. It got super hot, had no fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel had very nice grounds. Breakfast was just ok. I have had a lot better at other hotels. A lot of the stuff was really dry and felt stale. The rooms need some updating but overall a great stay. They staff was great!!!! Will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Shop first. Decent stay but $$"
On a cool evening, high 50s, had difficulty keeping the room cool. AC was loud and inefficient. The open slider was pleasent but required a second floor stay for safety.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice older hotel, well maintained and very quiet"
I enjoyed the easy access to rooms, very quiet atmosphere, beautiful pool, and good service. For the area the price of this hotel is quite low. Not in the heart of a tourist area, but very convenient to freeway access - to the beach, UCSB, or downtown via car in 10 minutes and about -30% of most hotels with similar appointment. All rooms appeared to […] have patio or balcony outside seating area with sliding door. A bit of funky/elegant Santa Barbara feel to it. A nice break from Hampton Inn for me - and a better deal. "Miserable staff; hotel just OK"
The staff - primarily the continental breakfast team and the housekeeping team - seemed miserable. They never smiled and were not at all welcoming. The continental breakfast staff have to make the waffles, but don't pay attention to the order of requests and, therefore, served guests who arrived after I did. And, they (he) was unapologetic for the mistake. […] The hotel is near a highway; across the street from an IHOP and next to a gas station. If you just want a place to lay your head, this hotel is the place for you. Prior to arriving at this hotel I stayed at a hotel in Oxnard and wished I'd never left. "Close to University"
I stayed their a night April 4-5, before heading to hearst Castle in San Simeon. The stay was nice, friendly staff. The continental breakfast was good and the male and female that worked it were on top of their game. Professional assisted you with what ever you needed. The hotel has these like scan keys which I liked tap on a door and go. I was their […] on my own passing through. The restroom was a different experience for me it did not have a bath tub which I like tubs to keep the water in this was a stand shower square with curtains around so the same restroom and shower share the same floor with a handicap bench. Which was ok but I prefer the tub. Room had a nice view of a pond and pool. Loved the Ducks.... the ducks made it more mother nature. I would def stay their again when i go visit Santa Barbara. You also have a Gas Station/ I hop/In n out walking distance. Thank you RAMADA HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I had a blast nice place to stay. It's about 10 min from down town Santa Barbara but the drive is nice so you won't regret itGenuine Expedia guest review

"Love the Duck Pond"
Clean room, nonsmoking motel, comfortable bed. A short drive to all sights. Love the duck pond. Nice pool. Lobby redone so one can see the duck pond from the desk Very fast service when slight problem with toilet. Very reasonable rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The lagoon was very pretty, complete with ducks. The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained.Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay was for three days, two nights. My first room had a toilet seat that did not stay up (?!) and the carpet was wet and smelled like urine. I had to request a room switch and Ramada could only accommodate me with a room with smaller beds and told me I had to check out again at noon into another room. When I asked the next morning about switching […] rooms, they had no idea about what I was talking about and told me no need. Then I was locked out of the hotel and my room and had to have the front desk reset everything. My final night had the noisiest bed ever, a crying newborn in the room adjacent to mine and a party in the room above mine. I think I slept about 4 hours culmulative during my stay. "Motel by the side of the road near UCSB"
I have never been to Goleta/Santa Barbara, so this is the only time I have needed accommodations in the area. Next time, I will look for something that is nicer, and a better value. This is basically a Motel by the side of the road (literally next to an IHop, Gas Station) charging hotel prices.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice location, but rooms need some facelift"
Bad wireless connection, the air conditioner looks 30 years old and falling apartGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place for a good price"
The hotel/motel was nice enough. We were searching for an inexpensive place that was clean and comfortable. The public areas were well kept and the staff was nice and friendly. The hotel was a little out-dated and not near anything we needed to be by. But, I would also stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel reasonable price"
Clean and comfortable accommodations. I didn't find an elevator so beware if you can't hike stairs! Beware if shower. You get intermittent bursts if scalding water.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed overnight for our anniversary. Didn't know we should have booked a room facing the pond. The pond is beautiful and has a nice atmosphere. Our room was adequate. Liked the keyless entry. The place is very secure. It is kept up very nicely inside and out. Not a bad deal considering it is near Santa Barbara. The ocean is not too far. In N OUT […] and IHOP are within walking distance. Nice cold breakfast bar.We would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable - but not great"
A decent hotel. The issue is noise; an incredibly loud AC/Heater, droning micro-refrigerator compressor (I ended up turning both off) which left the sounds of the adjacent highway traffic filtering into the room. Clean and conveniently located, yes. Quite it is not.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I got a room with a view it was so beautiful outside. There's a pond with ducks and beautiful scenery. Hotel staff is very friendly and knowledgable. There is an IHOP right across the street perfect for breakfast or a late night bite to eat. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was nice and clean, but the furniture is somewhat outdated and there were no comfortable chairs to relax in. The lobby was underconstruction so you had to stand outside and wait until someone finished either checking in or out. The area is very dark at night and looks somewhat unsafe. All of the employees were nice and professional. What I […] would like to see is more of a breakfast line other than cold items. It was close to where I had to go and overall the stay was nice. "Santa Barbara Shootout Womens Lacrosse Tournament"
We stayed at this hotel February 13th through February 17th 2014.The large pillows that were provided were too big to comfortably sleep on. We should have requested smaller pillows. The quality of service from the front desk staff was excellent. The breakfast was average. On Sunday evening February 16 the outdoor whirpool water was not warm enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location, Poor Breakfast"
Breakfast was nothing to write home about but the location close to UCSB where my daughter was playing LAX was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right Place, Right Price"
The Ramada in Santa Barbara is actually in Goleta which is right next door to Santa Barbara proper. Seven minutes to downtown SB without the traffic or crowds. The Ramada had everything we needed, the bed and pillows were better than most and the place was fairly quiet, those are the first priority for me. The staff was very helpful and there was a […] rather good continental breakfast served. The breakfast staff was very good. They took good care of the place and kept it clean even though there was a lot of turnover. We used Goleta as our base and took trips in all directions from there. Very conveniently located. Well done by all! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Last Minute Booking"
We were not told that they were remodeling their lobby. They were basically set up on folding tables. Staff was not friendly at all. Rooms were very clean, albeit small. We were on the freeway side so we had lots of traffic noise.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel lobby under construction. Breakfast was nicely done.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comforts of home"

"didn't know what to expect"
we weren't sure what to expect, since we had never stayed with a Ramada before, but it was perfectly located for a stopover on our trip. we were pleasantly surprised! the check in was quick and easy, hotel staff was friendly, and the room was quiet and clean. the hotel itself was actually adorable, which we weren't expecting. if i'm in the area again, […] i'll definitely stay here! "A car is mandatory, good for a Ramada"
Very good for a Ramada. Large room, comfortable beds. The heater took too long to warm the room but after a while the temperature was fine. Good breakfast. This hotel is away from downtown SB so dont expect to walk to restaurants and shops.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best Inexpensive Hotel in Santa Barbara"
My wife and I went on a last-minute getaway to Santa Barbara for the weekend, and needed a hotel to stay at without prior notice. We checked the available deals, but couldn't find an affordable hotel for less than 250$ (ouch). We came across the Ramada Limited, and booked it last minute for about 110$ per night (extremely cheap in Santa Barbara). The […] hotel was great: there's a duck pond, good breakfast, friendly staff, and a very 70's ish style. While the hotel is a bit outdated, it is in great condition, and very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pleasing and pleasant ...may mirror the outdoor."
Overall very good! I had a wonderful time visiting the Santa Barbara area. I have plans to make it my get-a-way time off place to relax.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was average but the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was supposed to be included but the night clerk gave us an incorrect closing time for the breakfast facility and we arrived after the facility had closed. The day staff did give us a discount coupon at the breakfast place across the street but it was not quite the same.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay in Santa Barbara"
Motel is located right off the 101 freeway, easy to get to. The motel is an older building but in good condition with an old fashioned feel to it. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean, comfortable bed and chair. Best part was a little balcony that overlooked one of the two lagoons. Nice surroundings and I didn't notice any freeway noise. Pool […] and spa looked nice as well. Breakfast (included) was decent, had hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, toast, teas and coffees and lots of pastries. Also, considering how high rates are in Santa Barbara are, the price was fair. Overall, I had a great stay and will stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location to freeway but very quiet"
Good, moderately priced accommodation. Decor was not fancy but very suitable for an overnight stay. Bed was very comfortable. Nice choices offered for continental breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel for the price and location"
The room was fun and worked for us as a place to sleep and relax, and the continental breakfast was nice. The walls are rather thin and we could hear the doors of other rooms slamming all of the time. It would be nice if the doors didn't naturally slam closed. Also, water temperature in the shower was a big problem. The water would go from burning hot […] to icy cold and it never remained consistent. I know that we took showers when other people in the hotel probably were too, but I feel like a hotel should be a place where they can regulate water temperature because people are going to take showers at the same time.
